[SP-F3] I need to <<Escape>>

Quest Name: Escape

 

Quest Description:

After being told about a group of thugs roaming the plains of Floor 3, you decided to investigate. As you investigated, you were rendered unconscious and soon after transported away from the area. When you come to you find that your hands are bound and have been moved to small room in unknown location. Your equipped items and battle items are all missing, a set tattered rags being the only thing on your person. The floor is cobbled, along with the walls the only light being a small, barred slit in the ceiling. After you wrench your hands free a small notification appears initiating the quest <<Escape>>.

After breaking out of your binds, you can see that the <<Wrought Iron Gate>> looks weak enough to bash open. Just outside the gate you see a small wood crate, that holds your previously missing equipment. Breaking open the gate will cause the two <<Bandit Guards>> down the hall to wake and attack you '2' posts later, after you've geared up. It takes a full post to gear up.

You can attempt to pick the lock of the gate if you have at least Rank 2 <<Sneak and Hide>>. If you pick the lock, the guards will not hear you, and you are free to continue your escape. It takes one post to try to pick the lock, on a LD of 16+.(LD modifiers do add to this) You only have '3' chances to pick the lock, afterwards the lock becomes jammed and you're forced to break down the gate.

The <<Wrought Iron Gate>> takes ‘4’ full posts to break down. The post count is reduced by '1' for each rank a character has invested in the <<Martial Arts>> skill. However, it can only be reduced to a minimum of '1' post.

You can complete the rest of the quest stealthily, using the <<Sneak and Hide Skill>>. Every '3' posts, you must roll the LD (please link it to the post) to see if you are discovered. That means after fighting the two <<Bandit Guards>>, every third post you will roll the Loot Die to see if guards discover you or not.

If you're discovered an <<Alert>> will be sounded and now every '3' posts instead of rolling the LD to see if you're discovered, you now fight 2 <<Bandit Guards>> every '3' posts.(this means your energy will not recharge to full) More guards cannot appear in mid combat. Same rules as the previous paragraph, but instead of avoiding combat it's now you're forced to fight 2 guards.

On the 15th post or higher you can start searching for the exit by rolling the LD. Finding the exit requires a LD of 17+. If in combat on the 15th post, the roll happens immediately after combat ends. If no exit is found, you can roll to find the exit every 3 posts after.

After escaping the jail you're met with the <<Bandit Warden>>, who was waiting for you outside.

Bandit Guards use spears, both one handed and two-handed. And will have normal conversations outside of battle.
Damage: 16, +1 Acc, +2 Eva, +20 Mitigation

 

 

<<Bandit Warden>> 100HP
(Can edit Hp/Dmg/Mit to meet Loot Drop requirements or for added difficulty. Will not increase end quest rewards)

A giant of a man, who wields a club. Will laugh and mock the player in battle
Damage: 24, on natural rolls of 9 or 10 ignores armor mitigation, +2 Eva, +15 Mitigation

 

Quest Prerequisites:

Escape the prison and defeat the <<Bandit Warden>>

The Thread Must Be 2 Pages Long (21 or more posts)

 

 

Quest Rewards:

(Repeatable for item drop only)

2 Skill Points upon completion

<<Bandit's Guile>> Increases a player's Evasion by '1' point. Potion effect lasts for one battle.

Just outside town of the beginnings a black haired girl sat under a tree. She seemed to be asleep. The tree was just a few meters from the road that led out of the city. A group of players walked out of the city, talking with loud voices. The girl opened her eyes and looked at the group as they passed, she listened to every word they said. It seemed there was a rumor about some bandits roaming on floor three. There have been some players that headed out but they havent returned yet. This cought the girl, which name was Zandra, to be curious. After some times she pushed herself up and headed back into the city. When she was at the plaza she entered the gate.''Delilah Vilage.'' the woman said with a loud and clear voice. The gate shined and after a few moments she had teleported up two floors. She didnt wanted to waste any time so headed straight out of the village, to explore the plains where the bandits was said to roam around. She walked across the huge field of floor three, but there was no bandits to be seen. Maybe it was just a rumor. Just when she was gonna head back to town she spotted something that looked like a small camp. She went to it to see if there was any clues about the bandits whereabouts, She walked to one of the tens and looked inside. It was empty except for a bedsack. Just when she was gonna move away from the tent she felt something hard strike her in the neck with a strong force. Next second everything went black and she fell to the ground.

After a few hours, Zandra wokes up. Thou herself, she had no clue how long time she had been passed out. But she sees the grass under her had been changed to solid rock and hard dirt to fill up the crack. Here and there some hay was scattered around the floor as well. Second thing she realised was different, was the feeling around her wrist. She looked down and sees that her hands had been bound. She made a weak attempt to break them, but didnt worked. She looked up and now her eyes got wide open. She looked at a large iron gate. Then she realised, she must have been brought to a prison.''Oh crap.'' she said to herself. Looked around to see if there was anything useful. But all she sees was solid rock walls surronding her.

Zandra started to get realy nervous. This wasnt good, not ngood at all. She had no idea where she was. Could have been taken to a completly other floor. But probably she still on three. Anyway, she cant do anything with her hands caought. She looked down at her wrists again. And with some tricky movement she succeded to get rid of the rope. A few seconds after she got free, a screen poped up indicating a quest started. It was named <<Escape>>. She pressed the accept button and took another look around. As far as she could see, the iron gate was the only way where she had any possibility at all to get out thru. She started from the opposite wall and ran as fast as she could against the obstacle. The gate moved a little but she wasnt able to break it.... at the first try.

Thats when she saw it. On the other side of the gate, there was her battleitems lauing in a crate. She tried to reach it by stretching out her arm. But it was to far away."God damnit." She mumbled to herself. So she walked back to the opposite wall again. She looked thru the gate on the crate. She took a deep breath. Then she rushed towards the door again. This time it moved a little bit more. It also shaked and made quite some noise."Ssshhhh....." she said to it and held it tight so ot would stop shaking.

Thats when she got struck by panic. She spotted a pair of guards further down the corridor. Thou it seemed they havent herd the loud noice from the gate. Or maybe they just didnt cared. Zandra thanked her lucky star for that thou. But now she couldnt try to break it down by tackling it again, that was out of the question. So she started to investigate the gate. How was it built? If your muscles isnt enough, then use your brain! There seemed that the ironbars have been hammered down into the stone floor. And then when they are there the smithy had got horisontal bars crossing it. Zandra took a steady grip of one of the horisontal bars. Then she took a deep breath before trying to pull it upwards.

It only moved maybe a milimeter before she had to release the grip. She took a few steps backwards and breathed heavily. It was impossible. Then she looked upwards. The bars that stood up was touching the roof, but only the two at the side. So Zandra climbed up, took a hard grip of one of bars. Then she threw herself with all her power towards the middle. It bent a millimeter. A hopeful smile grew on her lips. She repeated the procedure until it ironbar was bent quite a bit. She did it with the other one as well. Then she placed herself infront of the gate again. She took a firm and steady grip of the horisontal bars with bent legs. Then took a deep breath before pushing upwards. She felt it move a little but not enough. But she didnt losed the grip. Her breathing got heavier. At least she screamed to get that last strength she needed. And the gate fell forward.

As soon as the gate had landed on the stone floor, Zandra jumped over it to the wooden crate. She glanced down the hallway. Her scream seemed to be loud enough to wake the sleeping guards. Thou they was newly awake so she still had some moments to gear up. She looked down in the crate again. Took up the heavy metal pieves that was her armour. She started with the chestguard, followed by the leg-armour. Then her skirt-like part of the amrour. Before she equipped the gauntlet, she putted her handwrap of accuracy on her right hand. Then on with the rest of the gauntlets and shoulder guard. Last but not least, she took her whip of the warrior. Now she was ready for anything.

And it seemed to be just at the right moment, since then she got attacked by the two guards.''Come at me brah'!'' she shouted with a smirk on her lips.
