(SP-F1) Make it Rain

Recommended Posts

Jonathan stood in front of the Starting city, A breeze brushed his cheeks and lips. He had nothing to do, he didn't see any players he knew or liked. Jonathan sighed, he was bored. Most people were trying to make a plan to defeat the floor seventeen boss, or they were trying right now. Here he was, only a level six on floor one. Most players would look down on him. He was not going to be ready anytime soon. He pushed himself off the wall. He would not end up getting any stronger by just sitting here. He equipped his sword and the Thorny Rose and moved forward. Most of the field was picked clean but a few boars and wolves still remained. A few respawned allowing players like him to have the scraps. He sighed and eyed two boars feeding on the lovely plain grass. Jonathan pulled out his sword. It was getting harder for a solo player but he knew many had done it. Emblem was a solo player he believed.

Joanthan eyed the boars, He unsheathed his sword and moved forward. The boars stuck up there head from there food, Jonathan moved after the closest boar but they charged in unison and both hit him and sent him flying back. He landed on the ground and heard a squeal. Both boars were damaged by his throns. They were moved to the yellow zone. His armor had punished them for hitting him. Jonathan was barely scathed. He should start moving up to the higher leveld areas. Like floor two. He wasn't even below twenty hit points. This was probably going to be his last farming in floor one, he needed something more difficult to defeat. The boars stamped their feet but Jonathan could stand still and be just fine.

Jonathan held his sword and eyed the two boars, they did not have strategy like the wolves but they were still pretty decent at charging. Jonathan sighed as they both came charging one right after the other. So one was going to hit him then the other to get two hits instead of one at unison. Jonathan grinned and leapt at the enemy and struck upward, causing a burst of energy to hit both enemies. They both fell back and shattered into fragments. It was not a very strong skill but it would cut through these enemies like no other. Jonathan sheathed his sword. He needed to go after wolves. They usually traveled in small groups. Hopefully he could find some. Jonathan sighed and moved on.

Jonathan walked toward the more plain like area. Jonathan knew there was some wolves around here. He searched around he had not invested in the skill so he was not that good and finding things. Jonathan looked around and moved forward when he heard a growl. Immediately Jonathan pulled out his sword and four wolves jumped out of the grass and circled around to trap him. Jonathan laughed. "You think you've got me run down don't you? Well let me show you, I may be alone but I've always survived alone..." The wolves growled but Jonathan held them back. If they touched him they would be damaged. Jonathan also outleveled them. Jonathan grinned and swung his blade around.

The wolves growled and began to advance in. The first wolf moved in, but Jonathan sidestepped. He kicked the next one and it backed up a whine. The third one leapt at him and jonathn rolled out of the way. Jonathan kept the fourth at bay with his sword. The wolves regrouped and growled. The circled around him again preventing him from escape. These things worked well together. Jonathan thought they must have worked well with each other more than he did with people. A growl interrupted his thought. "Shut up I'm trying to think!" The wolves growled in response. Fine then he thought, you asked for it. Jonathan had a small plan.

Jonathan no longer had enough energy to use rage spike but he still had enough for horizontal slash. The wolf to his back clawed him back and pushed forward into the wolf in front of him. They all moved and attacked then grouped back together. It was a well thought out move but indicating from their whines his thorns had punished them. Jonathan smiled and got up. He picked up his sword and activated his Horizontal skill. He slashed and the energy hit all of the wolves. It didn't do much damage due to their mitigation but it moved them even farther into the yellow zone. Jonathan remained in the green. He laughed.

The wolves growled and began to circle around him once again. That was what separated a player from a monster. Monsters were not real because of the fact that attacked ruthlessly until they died. A real player would have thought twice before attacking Jonathan again. Jonathan laughed as the wolves growled and began to advance. Jonathan moved forward and struck the first wolf. It whined and backed off. Jonathan had barely hurt it. Its mitigation was too hgh for him to actually kill it. This is what guilds and parties were for. For multiple attacks and not just one. The other three began to advance but Jonathan held them back to where they were. The first wolf growled. It was in the red zone. It was not looking too well. Its allies knew it too.

The wolves began to go round and round around Jonathan. He laughed. Rhey wouldn't be able to touch him without killing them own selves. They growled trying to warn Jonathan, to stay put. The second wolf growled then attacked, it hit Jonathan but shattered on impact. The other three wolves, Growled and attacked for the loss of their companion. The all charged in, they shattered on impact. Jonathan sheathed and sighed. Foolish creatures. They would never learn would they? No they would never think. Jonathan moved forward step by step. This was a sad plays that killed many player. Moving them to extinction. Would they manage to clear 100 floors?

Jonathan sat down. He had to wait for his energy meter to rise back up. He would admit. It was quite lonely soloing. At least he didn't solo on the front lines. He just came out here to level and make a few bucks. Jonathan needed an alchemist to mentor him. They would not be crazy about creating competition but Jonathan really did not want to have to buy potions all the time. He also would like to have some potions and crystals on hand. He also needed to get some new equipment. He planned on becoming a tank, so he needed a shield to use that. The only problem was he could invest in mitigation but he would need some damage to back it up. So he also needed to invest in his sword skill. He needed some party members if he was going to just go ahead and become a frontliner. But no he was siting on floor one. How tough he was. He needed to have 200 health points and he had twenty four.

As Jonathan sat on a rock bored, absolutely nothing happened. god was this boring. Jonathan sighed and pulled out his sword and examined it. It really was not his style. It looked like a basic sword just sharpened. It did not make a mark on whatever it hit. It did not say remember me. Jonathan sighed and returned the sword to its sheath. If he had an ally he would not have to wait for energy to charge. Jonathan sighed as he got up and started walking forward. What was the point in this, in this world. Kill or be killed thats what it was. Jonathan sighed again impatiently and returned to insufferable waiting.

As his health and energy reached maximum, Jonathan stood up and stretched. Life was boring now. Train train train, no excitement. Jonathan sighed and decided to go and find some more wolves. He could not wait until he was strong enough to go on the boss fights. They were very dangerous but they would at least be a little excitement. Jonathan unsheated his sword and thrust it in the air a few times. Jonathan sighed and moved forward to go and find some wolves. Jonathan heard a very large growl and turned. Finally a few wolves. An unusally large wolf stepped out of the large grass. It growled and two more smaller wolves popped out growling and snarling. Now this would be fun.

The wolves snarled but that meant nothing. The Alpha was protected by the two smaller wolves which began to advance on Jonathan. Jonathan smiled and let the two wolves advance. Jonathan made a move, thrusting his sword in between them and both wolves backed but the Alpha snarled and moved in front of the wolves. So the alpha was going to protect the smaller wolves now? Or were they switching in and out. Jonathan smiled and faced the Alpha. It was a higher level than Jonathan but it was not going to get farther than this. The wolf snarled and Jonathan yelled at it.

Jonathan smiled as the wolf and him began to circle, Jonathan circled with it and the alpha growled. He smiled and dove in at it but missed. Now he wqas a few feet away from it. He turned and smiled. Man this was boring if he could hit the damn thing that would be nice. Jonathan moved forward and the enemy backed up a little bit. It growled and snarled. "Is that seriously all you can do, Growl? That lame..." God this fight better get exciting soon.

The alpha began to advance making Jonathan walk backwards. He held out his sword and took a deep breath. It was now or never in Jonathan's opinion. He readied the skill snakebite and moved in for the attack. The alpha moved in to greet his attack but, Jonathan side stepped and moved in for the smaller wolf on the left. The wolf growled in surprise Jonathan grinned and struck the wolf once, hitting it backwards and up about two feet. Then Jonathan charged forward striking at its side. The wolf's health entered the yellow zone and the wolf hit the ground with a whine. The other two wolves, the alpha and the other wolf moved in but Jonathan held them back with his sword. That was right, back it up...

The wolves began to advance circling Jonathan. Why was he still fighting these things? The wolf behind him snarled. Jonathan energized his sword. It began to glow a bright green. Jonathan spun around, meaning to hit the wolf. He slashed forward, The wolf had moved and left Jonathan slashing at air. Jonathan spun to stop the wolves from making their attack. This battle was going to on forever. They needed to hit Jonathan. Jonathan refocused on the battle.

Jonathan watched as the wolves circled more. They growled and snarled. Jonathan held his sword in his hand. Wolves were starting to get annoying. Jonathan sighed and  swung his blade around. He swung around and stabbed his sword at the wolf in front but missed. The wolf bit at him but also missed. Jonathan sighed. The boredom was going to kill him. Jonathan dashed between the wolves to keep them in front of him.
