About: History/personality

Rixia Mao, born October 31. Beloved daughter of Rixia Kyo and Rixia Nori, a lovely couple born into the middle class of Nagasaki. Her father Kyo, a game show host of one of many of the bizarre japanese games that became a smash hit, where the participants had to guess between an assortment of twenty bodies who their spouse was. After the selection process was completely the contestant was blindfolded and treated to a blind/mute date with individual they believed was their beloved.  It was rather difficult for Xia to explain to her american friends whom saw the clips on youtube many times, they didn’t understand just how few boundaries japanese culture was willing to cross for entertainment. Kyo maintained the game show four years prior to Mao’s birth and ten years till they were shut down by a corporate businessman who wound up embarrassing himself within the allotted time during his date.

After Kyo’s job was ended though he simply was granted a period to deepen the father daughter bond as Nori worked as a secretary for flourishing car company. Paid well and swimming in benefits the family was far from living in poverty. As the years progressed the parents asked Mao to be more considerate to their nurturing hand and wealth only to further drive her away after years of embarrassment and disappointment. As she flew the coup, she then sought her own dependence and citizenship in America. After the initial frenzy she managed to wane herself of her school visa and into a full blown citizen of the United State where she intended to stay. After Graduating from Princeton with a physics major, and mathematics minor she continued to further her education at Harvard.

Despite her years of education and soon successful job, Mao still found her life boring and seeking thrills in various extracurricular activities till she finally bought her own nerve gear system. Once her nerve link was connected she couldn’t imagine just how crazy her adventure would get.

Virtues:

  • Independent: Rixia Mao in life was always a girl who seeked to break out from under her parents controlling grasp. In doing so, Xia left home immediately after high school intending to find her own path within the crazy real world. A graduate of Princeton University as physicist in three years and a masters in the next four years of her life thanks to her accelerated courses. After developing a solid foundation as one of the youngest physicists her thesis placing her into a field of nuclear physicists. All of these exceptional feats allowed her to move into her own three story mansion of sorts upon the east coast of North America.

      ‘

  • Meticulous: Rixia was an unusual, between her studies and her habits, Rixia found herself strictly paying attention to the details. Due to her photographic aspirations she painstakingly studied and examined every note she had ever written. Atop her instructors teaching she further expanded her knowledge by reading over a variety of articles, both suggested and not in her field. During her studies though she began to feel a lack within her own life, video games acting as a relaxation tool after cramming her head with hundreds of lines of articles and notes that possible exams would be on.
  • Instinctive: Rixia’s ability to learn from a book was great, and while she wasn’t streetwise she had instincts of a warrior. After three years of kendou she found another interesting manner, besides video games to unwind. Her sheer instincts placing her above ten percent of the students. Sadly her physical mastery of techniques forced her to remain with the bottom tier of fighters at her dojo. Despite her failings she kept attempting to master this, time and time against failing to be able to keep up with her opponent's stamina.
  • Neat: In Rixia’s house she has shelves of books, movies and dvds where they are label and neatly arranged in an alphabetical order. A blessing and a curse in some senses Rixia finds herself incapable of allowing anyone to borrow her own supplies as she is afraid they will forget where to put it, despite her clear tags or that they will ruin the disks, or books themselves. This tidiness is brought to every aspect of her life from personal hygiene to her own house.

Flaws:

  • Sadistic: Through Rixia’s own solitude she began to research into the darker reaches of the world wide web. A disturbed unveiling to the once innocent minded student who now pondered various experiments into the taboo of internet based society. After making a name for herself and receiving a high paying job at a nuclear reactor she began to meddle in her free times with her new teachings.
  • Ambitious: Rixia’s entire life story is a monument to her ambitious nature from the day she stepped out of her parents house and into her own. Without a second glance back, Rixia’s life long dreams of becoming a self-sufficient member of society reached it’s climax when it was all said and done. Alas a video game though that further peeked her own self interest opened her eyes to a new frontier with all new adventures and experiences to indulge oneself in.
  • Neglectful: Once within the world of Sword Art Online, her own precious accomplishments became worthless. A game where her master’s held no value caused to realize just how impotent she back in her kendo class. As a swarm of other gamers skyrocketing into the top tier ranks, Xia found herself struggling within the starting city uncertain of how to even start off this adventure to the extent of not even realizing the necessity of being fully equipped at times.
  • Extreme: Due to the lack of understanding of the video game, Rixia sometimes forgets the realism that truly befalls one in the death game. Her sadistic side still contemplating how she is capable of becoming a notorious force as her own rather ill informed presumption that death isn’t existent in the game. A spark of one might almost call insanity kept at bay behind the intellectual shell of Rixia. Perhaps the game was only a window into the true soul behind one.
