PP-F2: 'Let there be Light'

Jonathan seemed to really struggle fighting the two bats. Esther bit her lip. Maybe it would've been better to pay Arc to help...maybe she could still message him to come help the two, but that wouldn't be fair to Jonathan, would it? The blonde haired teen was trying so very hard - with every swing of his weapon, beads of sweat would fly off his face. "He's trying so hard..." Esther mused, and here she was, making herself comfortable in the cave. She guessed that after today, Jonathan wouldn't exactly want too much to do with her, their interactions had been minimal at best. With him so focused on fighting. Even before the fight, Jonathan didn't seem like he wanted to talk much.

She guessed he really was just using her to help finish the quest as well. Without her, there was a high chance that the kid would have run off - leaving him to go hunting for the NPC again, and chancing running into more bats, this way - this way she was able to keep tabs on the young boy, and ensure that he wouldn't escape.

As Jonathan waited for the bats to return he thought of a way to perhaps hit the things. He had tried so hard but still no luck, With a hand on his sword, and the other on his shield, he waited for them to return. He heard the flapping of wings return. About damn time. The bats circled around him allowing him to fight them. Jonathan's sword began to gleam a bright gold, which actually began to go around him as his anger increased. I WILL DESTROY YOU! He screamed. He spun quickly three times striking his opponents. He watched as the bats smashed into the walls and shattered from there. He sheathed his sword, and moved to his friend. The boy inched away from him as he got closer. He must have frightened him at his burst of rage. Jonathan sighed and began to lead the way back. That was probably at least one of his most annoying fights he had ever gotten in. Well, then we did it. Now we can go home an do whatever. He made a right to counter their previous left.

Esther's eyes lit up as she watched Jonathan spin around thrice on the heel of his foot, annihilating the bats. "Oh wow!" She jumped up and started clapping. "Jonathan! That's absolutely amazing. Esther turned to grab the little boys hand, grabbing hold of him tightly. "C'mon we're going to go bring you back to your mother."

Esther pulled the boy forward, walking back just behind Jonathan. "PHew...I'm glad we've finally got that sorted." Esther commented. "It seemed to take absolutely forever, you must have amazing patience. I really admire it." She gave Jonathan a smile, "Really...thank you."

The two wanted to get out the caves, so they quickly made their way out of the caves and toward the town, engaging in small talk, talk about Esther and her Alchemy profession, she had invited Jonathan to her store to visit sometime for a few potion or two for all his hard work. Then, he spoke of his guild, and the different ranks in it.

They made their way back to town, and reunited the NPC child with their mother. The <<Quest Complete>> message popped up, and the both of them, we very very glad that it was over and done with. They parted ways on friendly terms. And Esther thought Jonathan was lovely, and hoped that they would meet again soon.
