Birdie found herself feeling weak, a mix of exhaustion from the night's activities and the longing to see her pet bird overcoming her immediately. She carried herself to the front door, keeping it open with one hand. The girl glanced over her shoulder one last time, watching as Arc disappeared up the stairs and out of sight. "See you then.." She stopped for a moment, watching the stairs for a couple of seconds longer. She had to make sure he wouldn't back down from his promise. Birdie shook her head, pushing past the doors of the inn. 'What am I doing.. of course he'll get some rest.' She smiled to herself, and as the town's teleportation stone came into sight, she felt a welcoming chill breeze through her spine.
