His dead friend joined us some time later, and we were a great trio throughout our lives. ..you may not know this but.." The girl's expression changes from a smile to a frown. "Do you know that there is a hidden dungeon at the palace in this city..? There are certain requirements you must meet at the advanced floors. Somehow, we found its entrance and spend a good amount of time inside. And then, a boss appears out of nowhere in on of the hallways..it looks similar to the traditional depiction of the Grim Reaper...but..sigh... He...had a rare ability that can strike anyone with a black plague...his friend was the unfortunate victim, we had no choice but to run. There was virtually no way to cure him, so we just spent our time with him as much as we could..." I have to admit that I was startled that the palace would hide a powerful dungeon, but even worse, I can't imagine how strong this Grim Reaper boss is...The Black Plague? That is perhaps one of the worst ways to die, even in a fantasy world like Aincrad. "Adventuring is never the same after his death...we just..never feel excited..or scared...it was depressing. He was such a strong tank, and he is a gentle, lovable giant...damn, I still miss him..." I let myself feel concern for her as I pat her on the shoulder in an effort to console her. She gives me a satisfactory glance as her lips curls into a smile. "Thank you, I really need that..would you like to thank--'" "Never mind that," snaps the hooded NPC. "Just take my thank you gift, for it is enough to express my gratitude...you have done a great job as cleansing my friend's resting place...may his soul find peace in the heavens...or at least purgatory..." Nodding at his statement, I get up from the bed and take a bag of COL from the table. Now that my mission is accomplished, I can get back to work..
