Fate 0 Posted October 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2016 "It should be here somewhere..." Thought Ken as he wandered the streets at the edge of the Town of Beginnings. He had received a quest from the quest board about some hunter near the southern gate of town. The hunter was willing to teach someone the ways to hunt and cook their. Thinking it was going to be an easy task, he quickly grabbed the quest and made his way here - where ever here was. After a few minutes of searching he eventually finds the hunter. He was literally standing right next to the gate. "So I hear you're teaching people how to cook, correct? Can you teach me?" "Simple and to the point. I'm getting good at this socializing thing." Ken thought to himself as he stood there with a slight grin on his face. He felt awesome that he managed to let out those two sentences without studdering. That was until he realized that he was only talking to an NPC, not an actual person. Within seconds he drops his head and he loses his slight grin. "Yes, sir! You fancy hunting, huh? Here's a tinderbox and some firewood. Just go grab one of them materials from them boars out on the fields and just cook em up. Afterwards, just come back here and maybe we can salvage whatever burnt up food you made." With those final words, a window pops up in front of Ken with an accept or decline. "Clearly this "hunter" has no intention of actually teaching me how to cook, but atleast he gave me the tools to cook, so that's a start, right?" After pressing accept, Ken began to take his first steps out of the gate, only to be stopped by the sight of a boar already. A boar who's stats are way beyond the capabilities of this budding cook-to-be. "This is gonna be a problem." @Opal, @Domarus, @Khrysaor
Domarus 0 Posted October 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2016 With an almighty roar Domarus swung his battle ax down at the monster in front of him, beheading the creature. The experience emerged on his menu and he dismissed it swiftly. Only a level up sign would gain his attention. He had been hacking and decimating multiple low leveled mobs in order to get to the mobs around his level. With his equipment and his now current level he wasn't afraid to tackle leveled mobs. Especially when he could gain col and materials from them. After he finished clearing this particular area, Keres, dressed in the maid outfit she chose to wear, ran to catch up to him and smirked at him. "So when are you going to fight something that's actually a challenge?" Domarus grunted and pointed in the direction they were going. "There's an area over there with monsters around my level. I'll be taking them down." Keres nodded and followed him as he walked onward. She wanted to help Domarus get to an extremely powerful level, as well as help him gain followers and build up his small empire, but at the same time she wanted to have some time to enjoy herself with him. She liked Domarus and while she didn't like him in that way, she liked to spend time with him. In truth she liked half of her time being beaten by his hands and the other half just being close to him. Whenever they weren't alone together she liked to be mischievous and mess with other people's emotions. As they approached the area Domarus heard the squeal of another boar and turned to see a player being assaulted by a boar that looked out of this player's level. He handled the ax in his hand and nodded to Keres. "Make sure the player doesn't kill himself or run away Keres." With that he walked over to the boar, wearing the full set of Hopebreaker, his black intimidating armor that pulsed a dark red glow underneath, as well as Vindicem, his two handed black battle ax which also pulsed a dark red glow, and when the boar turned to him he kicked it in the face, sending it back a bit and gaining it's hate. "Come on, I'd like to see you act tough with someone you're own level!" With the helmet on, his voice sounded much darker and more metallic. This tended to scare low level players off which was why Keres helped calm them down. She rushed over to the player, waving to alert him to her approach. When she reached him she grinned. "Hey there! Wait, you're Fate right? The quiet guy from the meeting? Good to see you again! Hope your in for a show cause Domarus is about to destroy that pork chop!" Khrysaor 0 Posted October 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2016 Khrysaor had been out in the fields of Floor 1 for most of the day, hunting and gathering material for his shop. 'It was such a fine day to be out on a hunt,' thought Khrysaor. He had decided he was done for the day, so Khrysaor was strolling through the grassland at a leisurely pace heading back to the Town of Beginnings when he saw a small lake in the distance close to the gates entering into the town. As he saw the lake he had an idea, and thought, 'Maybe I should take the chance to take a break,' so when he reached the lake he laid down on the grass and watched as the waves the water made gently hit the shore. He was about to shut his eyes, when his head snapped up when he heard the sounds of a boar close by. Khrysaor looked around and saw a high leveled boar about to attack a player who seemed to be new to this world, especially as Khrysaor can see the player only equipped with starter items. 'Well that does not look like it will pretty, I should go and help out, before the player gets himself killed,' thought Khrysaor, and with that thought, he was about to stand up when he noticed another player come onto the scene battle ready to fight the boar. As Khrysaor continued to observe the scene, he had to only take one look at the new arrival to know that the newbie player is in good hands. "Well that takes care of that it looks like I don't need to get involved, the situation is under control, and now I can get some shut eye," stated Khrysaor with a sigh. With that said Khrysaor turned his head back towards the lake, and closed his eyes to take a little nap.
Fate 0 Posted October 28, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted October 28, 2016 As Fate slowly took a few steps back, a certain player came out of nowhere to take on the boar. Domarus along with Keres, the two players he had met at the meet up. Of all the people that could've came out of nowhere, it was these two. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with them, but you know, what are the chances those same exact people came out of nowhere to help. It's a real small world, you could say. "So... you think he'll be fine against those guys?" Unconsciously, Fate threw out those words without feeling any anxiety. Well, that was until he realized that he managed that. Then his mind began to overthink the situation. "Why are they actually helping me? Is this death game like an 'Eat or be eaten' kind of game I have a bad feeling I'm gonna owe these guys. Damn... I can't be useless. No, wait. At my level, I can just get one shot that boar. Damnit... I gotta walk away." Fate clenched his spear. Angered by the situation. He didn't want to owe these two, but the situation was already heading to that direction. "I-I'm guessing you guys are hunting for materials, huh? T-There's gotta be an easier way to collect materials."
Domarus 0 Posted October 29, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) Foregoing Action Keres listened to the Fate's comment and compared it with his eyes. He asked in a sense of concern, but his eyes showed something entirely different. He was nervous. Domarus taught her that this inclined either suspicion, or the fear that they were someone of a potential threat. She couldn't outright tell him she was fine as that would only enhance his fear and suspicion. So she'd just roll with it for now. "Fine? Please, Domarus could annihilate that monster easy. He's working toward dealing the most damage in SAO! Pretty high goal ain't it?" She giggled a little bit and waited as the player thought to himself, choosing to watch Domarus instead. If she stared at him the entire time it would make her look suspicious. Domarus was standing still as the boar shook it's head to regain it's composure. When it spotted Domarus he made a hand gesture, taunting the boar to charge him. Which it did of course. That was when the player asked another question. "Hmm? Oh well not really. Domarus was aiming to get some experience points actually. But we do need the materials for his crafting. It's not going very well since he has no materials at all. However Domarus hopes to find someone with good searching skills who's willing to lend materials from time to time. Unless you have search and detect, it's pretty hard to get materials besides fighting." And with that she returned her attention to the battle. As the boar charged at Domarus, the massive player didn't move. In fact, he never moved his position whatsoever. When the boar was close enough to hit the player, he adjusted the position of his arms so the boar rammed headfirst into the large spiked gauntlet's, squealing from the intense pain it received. After his health dropped one point, due to his armor's MIT, his gauntlet's activated regeneration, restoring the lost health dealt to him. He grinned at the boar whose own health had dropped on impact. "I wonder what a player would pay for your meat little bug." Khrysaor 0 Posted October 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 29, 2016 Khrysaor was still on the ground by the lake, and he was having a nice dream. Which happened to be ruined by him waking up because of the loud noises coming from the distance. He opened his bleary eyes and looked for the ruckus, his eyes caught the last attack made by the boar. It's HP dropped significantly by the collision it made with the other players gauntlet. Then, Khrysaor decided to stand up since he would most likely not get a chance to get to sleep again. 'What a drag? Well, I guess I might as well check out the battle that is occurring.' thought Khrysaor. He got up, adjusted his armor and clothing and checked if he had everything before he made his way to the gates where the lone player was fighting the boar. As, Khrysaor reached the group, he brought his hand up in greeting and said, "Yo, guys whats up? I see you are enjoying yourselves with the boar." Khrysaor then turned his head to @Domarus and asked, "Do you need any help with your opponent or would you like me to sit this one out? I don't mind either way to be honest." Domarus 0 Posted October 29, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 29, 2016 (edited) Keres watched as Domarus fought against yet another leveled boar without difficulty. Domarus told her that when he gained enough energy and base damage they'd fight much stronger boar on this floor, but for now they'd hit the easy ones to gain levels faster. He had almost grand mastered his two handed war ax and once he did he was going to unlock the ferocity mods. Once that was accomplished he'd get the charge skill as well as unlock the heavy armor skill to get it's damage mod. When he gained a familiar he was going to increase it's damage to maximum and replace his ax with one that dealt status damage. Domarus would be one of the most powerful dps' there ever was she thought. Both in skill and levels, and in political power as well. She was about to say something to Fate when another player came. She wanted to roll her eyes as she was hoping to get Fate a bit more comfortable so that she could be herself around him. Unfortunately it looked like she'd have to be patient. She grinned at the player. "Domarus loves competition and combat in this game, so I'd say he's enjoying it yes!" When the player turned his attention to Domarus however she wondered what would transpire. Domarus heard a voice and blocked the boar with the long hilt of his weapon and turned his head slightly as he heard the player's question. "Join me or sit out I don't care, just don't get in the way of my blade," After answering the player in the dark metallic voice through the helmet, he shoved the boar upward into the air with his ax and then released Crescent Avalanche, slashing his blade, stabbing the hilt and spiked point at the monster seven times, the last slash with enough force to throw the monster far to the other side, breaking through the trunk of a tree, a loud crack emanating from it. The critical hit had dealt massive damage and the boar struggled to get to it's feet, shook it's head with it's eyes flashing yellow from having a little over a quarter of it's health. Domarus began to slowly approach the monster, the heavy armor thudding against the ground as he did so. @Fate @Khrysaor Domarus: 280/280 -><- 21/28 Boar: 42/140 Edited October 29, 2016 by Domarus
