(OOC: All items equipped for this quest are in my enchanted items and appearance tab in my signature)

After Hydra was done meeting with Khry for the day he had agreed to help his friend in building a vessel. For that the party would need animal fats, and lots of it. The deadline was literally right around the corner. So the spearman was heading off to the fields of the first floor, spear ready and equipped in hand. Truth be told he was a little unsure if collecting normal animal fat was the right thing to do, they would probably end up in a wooden tub and Hydra was certain that whilst that would be an amusing site a boss wouldn't think twice before shattering it into hundreds of pieces and sending it the bottom of the sea. "A good death at least." The spearman laughed to himself before it developed into a sigh.

The walk wasn't to long before he arrived, the ever breath taking 'Town of Beginnings' lay off on the horizon, stretching out for miles. Hydra slowly looked around for any sort of MOB he could kill for this animal fat. Surely enough there was a big fat boar munching away at some grass only a mew yards away. "Guess it's time to start the grind then."

Despite the look of this boar it was faster than it seemed. The boar darted as the spearman drew close to it before circling around and charging him at a relatively fast speed much to his surprise. A little shocked by the whole thing Hydra nearly forgot to attack the boar himself. Remembering at the last moment he sidestepped out the way before activating his <concentration skill> in which he then struck downwards twice with two swift movements. The boar let out a squeal and ran straight into a tree before exploding into crystals.

The brunette moved over slowly and collected the animal fat it had dropped. Unfortunately only of a normal tier, however at the same time he was a little relieved that he wouldn't need to skin the creature himself. The sound of snorting and more squealing came from further up ahead. Near the border of the forest. "I will continue to take them out one by one." The spearman thought to himself before quickly running to the spot.

The sound of squeals grew louder as the spearman approached, surely enough there was sign of movement in the thicket. A smaller boar supposedly. Carefully the brunette brushed aside any vegetation getting in his way to see if he could get a clearer view of the beast. However the bush was covered in thorns and the forest's undergrowth seemed to be more uneven as compared to other areas on the first floor.

Sighing a little Hydra slowly moved to one of the tree's and slumped himself against it. Whilst boars were the grinding mob of the first floor he was already a little tired from the day's events, so he would decide to wait this one out. The boar would have to come out at some point, he wasn't even fully sure if it was alerted to his presence at this moment in time. In any case it probably wouldn't matter, all the brunette needed to do was land a single hit and then it would all be over.

Hydra sat there for 5 or so minutes letting his body relax. The deep emerald green of the forest was truly enchanting at times. He closed his eyes beginning to drift off into a sleep. *Rustle* Suddenly the brunette's spear shot out ripping through the undergrowth and Hydra's eyes flickered open, this time there was no squeal just an eerie silence and then the shattering of crystals. "Got him!" He nearly cheered as though he had achieved some great feat. In any case it seemed the boar was actually heading in his direction. "It must have been waiting for an opportunity to strike rather than running." The spearman though scratching his head a little.

After this he once again went to collect the loot. Reaching down he picked up the animal fat as well as a material he got lucky enough to score. Somewhere off in the distance the sounds of more squealing could be heard, this time going back into the forest. Hydra knew this area had many glades so perhaps boars spawned in them. In any case he picked up his spear and headed off to find them.

It was a longer walk through the forest, the place was less well known compared to others. As a result there wasn't an actual path. The forests undergrowth itself was wild and untamed, moss covered the ground, tree roots as well as boulders, whilst vines and creepers hung from the tree's branches. It was quite mystical place although there was something dark about it as well. Hydra shook the thought off as he continued forward.

Little light got through the forests cover which created the dark emerald coloring, however up ahead Hydra could just about make out the glade where more light filtered in. As well as this, the sound of running water also gave it away. Most likely a source had formed where rain had entered. Although at the same time perhaps he was thinking to much. This was a virtual reality after all, would that even be programmed in.

Upon reaching the opening the spearman stood behind a tree looking down open the glade. There were several boars here this time all prancing about among the flowers. He did feel a little guilty but it had to be done. They would most likely respawn later anyway.

As Hydra edged forward slowly he lost his footing on the bank. Bursting through the tree's at that point he literally tumbled down the hill straight into the glade, his whole world spinning. The boars were just as surprised as him however, all letting out high pitch squeals and darting off in different directions as the spearman came crashing down into the center of the glade.

"Urrrr..." The brunette slowly sat up, a feeling of sickness in his stomach whilst he used his hand to rub his head. The armor he had been wearing had crystal scratch marks all over it but otherwise he remained unarmed. Still dizzy and still sat down he looked left and right. His spear lay stuck in the ground, point first. "I wonder how that happened." He managed to think in bewilderment. Aside from the spear the actual glade itself was lovely. Vibrant and wavy green grass covered the floor and a small stream of water ran through the center. Various types of flowers also marked the land.

Hydra eventually managed to stand up although still a little wobbly. Looking around once more the boars seemed to be regrouping, and they didn't look happy with his intrusion into there territory.

The boars moved first, charging Hydra all at once. The spearman reached for his weapon and pulled it out the soil. Thankfully it wasn't buried to deep so he was able to maneuver into a position to strike. The boars were slowed down anyway, the grass was to thick making there charge more into a sluggish run. By the time the beasts reached him the spearman was ready.

Raising his spear high above his head, Hydra activated his lowest power area of effect sword art: <hurricane>, and then began to twirl his spear hitting and decimating all four boars in an instance. To any onlooker it may have just looked like a silver blur. The young adventurer nearly toppled over again after, he hadn't quite gotten over the fatigue of his previous tumble. "Haaa... I should just take a minute." He said exhausted from all the fighting.

After taking a break he got back to work, collecting the animal fat once again. The spearman was still short by quite a lot and his team's time was getting low.

The glade wasn't as large as the spearman had hoped and it was unlikely there would be anymore boars around here for a while. Hydra mulled for a second as to whether he should scour the other glades in this forest or continue to the outer borders of the map. "This glade certainly had boars but it might be time consuming to search for the others." He stood on the spot and tapped his foot repeatedly, as though he were making rhythm in time with the birdsongs. Letting out another one of his sighs Hydra made his decision before he began to head back towards the forest. The spearman continued walking m silence until he had nearly reached the outer borders of the floor, it was a longer route but more promising and it was beginning to become night. Even as a player killer he couldn't be caught in the dark, these days he lacked many allies he once would of had.

The edge of the first floor certainly was bewildering. Everything felt open and the realisation of this world being a game always hit Hydra whenever he came here. "Wow..." The vastness of it all lay out before him, darkness everywhere, like a black looming abyss for across for as far as the eye could see. Hundreds of players had killed themselves by falling into this, not just on floor 1 but also on higher floors. It wouldn't matter what level or how much health one would have, they would shatter instantly. A bit of fear sparked in the spearman's heart forcing him to back away a little, despite the safe distance he already maintained.

"I can't get distracted now." He mumbled shaking his head and turning to scan the environment. There were various creatures in these parts, not necessarily boars but most had similar stats so it wouldn't cause to much of an issue. A few hundred metres away Hydra could make out a herd of these creatures. Or a gang, he wasn't really sure what to call them. In any case they were centaur, although not the intimidating kind. These were dressed in rags and had only sling shots and pointed wood as weaponry. The spearman readied his charge skill.

Upon activating his charge skill a sudden rush of fear and paranoia accompanied it. "Wait what if there is a drop I cannot see!" The spearman panicked his skill already sending him forward off the ground at a high speed. In this flustered moment he tried to stop himself from moving, a jolt travelled up his body sending him once again crashing to the ground but this time it was a little more severe than just a daze. He crashed down the steep hill at an incredibly fast speed, this time his body hitting rocks and other debris that lay across the field. This wasn't the worse of it however. In trying to impede on his charge skill he had put himself into agonising pain.

The spearman could feel his hands trembling and could make out various crystals that fluttered about his body. He glanced down at his stomach where the pain was coming from and much to his terror his spear was there, he had impaled himself by accident. Hydra groaned and began to breathe heavily, to make matters worse the centaur were now approaching him there own weapons poised at the ready. Hydra quickly forced himself up, letting out a loud scream before ripping his own weapon out of his body. A burst of crystals followed it as he tried to counter attack.

Hydra's whole body and his own mind were now screaming in pain. It clearly showed, even the centaurs seemed to be a little frightened of him at that point. In any case the battle was still short. The young adventurer managed to stumble towards the foe as they rushed towards him. However his hand and aim were true. The spear sliced through the air, although not as efficiently as it had many times before. Fortunately it was still enough to wreak havoc across his opponents.

The first two centaurs were killed instantly, however the second two suffered deep wounds which crippled them momentarily before they followed the same fate as their friend after a few moments of wailing on the ground. Usually Hydra would feel guilt, he probably would later however right now all he could think about was stopping this pain. He firmly planted his spear into the ground using it as an item to rest on. "That was to close." He managed to rasp.

When Hydra came to again he wasn't sure how much time had passed. The sky was dark but he had terrible hunger pangs and his throat was dry. Sitting up the spearman quickly opened up his inventory to withdraw a water skin and some food. It didn't take him long to consume it all and he was already in the process of getting out seconds when something interrupted him. "Huh?" Somewhere off in the distance there was a high pitch scream, not one which sounded like a players but this one sounded like it was coming from a sort of animal.

Hydra suddenly remembered what had happened, he looked down at his stomach where the open wound had been. Fortunately for the spearman it had mostly regenerated now and the pain accompanying it had gone, although he noticed his hit points had barely increased since. "How much time have I lost here?" Hydra suddenly realized forgetting that he was suppose to be helping Kyrh gather materials.

"I have no time to lose." The young adventurer thought to himself. In a quick rush he stood picking up his spear once more and heading over to the sound of the beasts shrieking. His movement was a lot more careful this time and far more controlled. With each step the shrieking only grew louder though, up to a point where the brunette had to stop for a moment and plug his ears with some soil. Gritting his teeth, he pushed onward eventually reaching his goal.

He hadn't encountered this type of creature before, it was a flock of birds. Purple and yellow in color, relatively small sort of like ostriches. They were what was letting out the incredibly high pitch shrieks. "I'm not even going to ask." Hydra half mumbled, half laughed over the design of the creature. This world had spawned in countless creatures and these little ones were certainly no exception to the book of weird and wonderful.

The birds themselves were to busy with their shrieking to even notice Hydra. At the same time however he couldn't quite gauge how powerful these little guys were. "Alright I need to get in closer." Although the spearman did ponder whether or not that was a good idea in hindsight. Deciding there was no where else to go and his already short space of time he had no choice in the end. "Alright..."

With one step another thunderous shriek came from the skies. It was so loud it sent Hydra flying backwards a meters although he wasn't harmed in anyway. Looking up a larger form of these shrieking birds was directly above him, staring him in the eye. It's next of kin suddenly stopped shrieking and went to see what all the hassle was. "It's a win lose I guess." He chuckled slightly raising his hands up as though he were a criminal that had just been caught red handed. At least the shrieking birds were now close enough for him to guess how strong they were, although they were already preparing to attack.

The birds all dive bombed him at once, using their bright yellow beaks as spears of their own. Hydra was completely astounded by this new to this style of combat, so much so he couldn't prepare his spear to perform a counter attack. The young adventurer just managed to jump backwards in time avoiding the dive bomb. Surprisingly the birds didn't circle back upwards they went beaks straight first into the ground, as though they were trying to skewer the enemy with the beaks. Hydra gulped a little.

A few moments later they retracted their sharp beaks from the soil with ease. "Like ostriches..." He nearly scoffed at his own analysis from earlier. The spearman realized it could be risky to fight on this ground, especially with the soil so easy to dig in and out of so turned and headed for the treeline. If he was able to make it in time it would make it more difficult for them to reach him.

Hydra's plan seemed to work. The birds now panicking tried to dive bomb him once more, before he could reach the tree line. It was far easier to evade however, some were more reluctant than others and so the whole timing of the dive was miscalculated. The spearman just had to keep light on his feet. Taking a quick glance over his shoulder the largest one was now heading straight for him. Spinning around to face it he was definitely prepared. "Wait for it........ Now!" He struck out with a mid tier sword art, it was enough power for his spear to be go straight through the bird's body. Impaled for a few seconds It let out another one of its high pitch screams before shattering into crystals.

The spearman didn't have time to celebrate, the other birds had already formed a flock once more and were now letting out shrieks for their dead mother. The young adventurer quickly remembered the rest of his plan and once again began to head for the forest.

Hydra reached the forest unscathed, there was no way these birds could win now all Hydra had to do was wait. Like he did earlier with the boars the spearman prepared his <hurricane> sword art. Raising his spear high above his head these creatures probably wouldn't last very long. The shrieking also gave away there position. Slowly the spearman began to twist his wrists in turn twisting the spear itself. It began to pick up speed finally up to the point where it was fast enough to deal enough damage to anything which touched it. The shrieking birds followed one by one. Like a moth to a flame they dove head first into this silver whirl becoming nothing but crystals on the other side.

"I think that's all of them." Hydra mumbled. Once they were all eliminated the young spearman went about his usual business of picking up any loot he could find. This was a bountiful mob dropping four extra materials on the sideline.

Looking up at the sky Hydra needed to make his way back to meet up with Khry. Unfortunately the spearman hadn't collected as much animal fat as he would of liked, but maybe his friend had managed to get more. Slowly he moved through the forest, leaving the outer border of the first floor behind, if he happened to stumble across any creatures he could gather more materials from then he most likely would stop in order to do so. For now there was just a dead silence however and the pitch darkness of the night.

Well a dead silence is a slight understatement, the spearman couldn't see all that much and kept walking into various trees, roots, rocks and stumps. At one point falling face first into a river. However eventually the forest seemed to come to an end after a few hours of walking.  Then all he need was the vast sound and lighting that erupted from the Town of Beginnings  to guide him the rest of the way to the agreed meeting point with Khry and the other person Hydra was yet to meet.

*Oink Oink* Hydra heard the sound of a pig coming from his general area. Remembering his agreement he began to reluctantly search for it. Finding these creatures was hard enough in the day, let alone at night. The noise appeared to be coming from a few yards away, or maybe it was a few meters. The spearman shook his head slightly, wondering what he must of looked like as as he fumbled about in the dark.

The spearman much have been trying to find this creature for a whole 20 minutes before eventually throwing in the towel. "Alright you win." He mumbled turning to walk away. Hydra's general pace was slow and relaxed as he continued on through the night, letting out a loud yawn he turned to loo at the town of beginnings once again. It truly was an amazing spectacle, so many heroes were forged from there and now fighting at the higher floors. The young brunette hoped to one day join them, although that probably wouldn't be for anytime soon.

Eventually Hydra arrived at the meeting spot, although no one else was currently in site. The spearman took a seat on a patch of grass and just took in the world for a moment. "Time for reflection." He pondered thinking on the day's events. This quest Khry had signed him up to, how safe was it? Hydra had only briefly looked over the details but apparently adventurers participating in the quest would be fighting an event boss. The thought made him a little scared but it was also slightly amusing at the same time. His team in a little wooden tub getting destroyed by a huge sea serpent. The brunette couldn't help but burst out laughing.

His mind wandered onto another topic, his player killer status. Hydra had wished to remove it for a long time, the issue was with the quest. It was difficult and rumor had it various people had died trying to earn it. At the same time it was torture to live like this, he couldn't enter any cities or settled towns. The last building he entered was his own shop far in the wilds of floor 2. The worst was the looks he got from time to time, there were a few players who showed forgiveness. Most just ignored him, others showed anger and there were even those who lived to kill orange players.
