{PP-F1} Recalculations -Mossino and myself-

Recommended Posts

Domarus was walking down one of the streets of the town of beginnings.  Keres was taking care of the shop while he was away, giving him time to think about things.  Aereth and Dominion.  His two obvious candidates for becoming generals.  Both were ideal.  They were loyal, their views would most likely accept Domarus' own.  Aereth was nearly swayed over completely, and thus he had his scout and healer generals...  The last positions he expected to have filled first.  He entered the café, taking note of the amount of actual players in the room.  Two players.  One seemed nearly finished and one was minding their own business by the window.  He sat down at the counter and the bartender grinned at him.

"Hey there!  The usual I presume?"  Domarus nodded and the bartender made his way over to grab the bottle.  When he returned Domarus thanked him and opened it, taking the first go at the whiskey.  He wouldn't get drunk of course, but it helped him with thinking through situations like this.  Something to do.  He had players with potential for the other two generals.  However Chiana and Wolf have been absent for a while, and even Arc seemed to have disappeared.  Thus he was going to need to find replacements and fast.  He took another drink as he considered players he knew besides those.  And as he went through them, he couldn't think of any.  None whatsoever.  He mentally cursed and made a note to go hunting for players he could possibly use.  He could technically start with the players in this building.....

The girl at the window seemed oddly familiar. Familiar clothes, look, hair, height. But never mind that, the girl seemed shocked. Like all of the emotions had been sucked out of her, and had just lost all meaning to exist.

She was slowly sipping a cup of coffee, her long blond hair flowing down off her back. Who was this….the old Frenchie?

No, she had been gone for months, what the hell. They had only met briefly, but there was fire in the girl he had met previously. Perhaps this was her?

But something was obviously, obviously wrong with her. She looked like she had just been through a war, and had experienced things no human being should ever have to go throw…

She just kept staring down at a cup of coffee, looking distant, scared, anxious, worried, and every other synonym of the word. She was a complete mess.

Domarus checked the other two out of the corner of his eye.  One of the players, the one who seemed almost done, was ordering some more.  He grunted and wondered if the player was either thirsty or keeping an eye on something or someone.  That other woman perhaps?  Now that he looked at her...  She did seem familiar.  Domarus racked his brain, trying to figure out who she was.  Then the memory slowly sunk in.  The hair...  The eyes...  Disregarding the defeated look in those eyes....  It couldn't be.  A flame could be seen in his eyes once again.  An ancient flame.  One of his targets had returned.  He took his bottle and walked slowly enough to avoid her spotting him, or her suspicion.  And he made his way over to the table and he sat down gently.  If he was successful, she wouldn't have noticed him.  He was guessing she was far too deep in thought to really notice him, save for possibly when he sat down.  He placed the bottle near the edge, closest to the window.  He smiled to her, as any normal person would smile to a friend they missed.  Save for the fact that he had much more different emotions inside.  Sure he was glad to see her, but it was more than that.  He needed her, and if successful she could make a very powerful dps general and ally.  However due to her absence much could have changed.  He needed information from her.  Whenever she'd notice him he'd reply.

"Hello Alisa.  How've you been?"

The girl didn’t even lift her head when the bottle was put down. It was like she was in her own little world, of shock and panic. There was pain in her eyes, and she looked a mess. Ever since yesterday, she had been nearly dead like this. Of course, she was still emotional around Beatbox, but, without him around she was like a shell of the original person. Honestly, it was sad to see the innocent Frenchie like this.

Eventually, the girl slowly lifted her head up and looked at Domarus, a neutral, stoic expression on her face, very unlike the normally constant smiling girl she used to be. Sheesh, what exactly did happen to her to cause this change in her personality? But, she was nearly in a catatonic state. Domarus would have to slowly get her to talk, over by just making her comfortable with him being there.

Domarus never missed anything.  Her posture, her eyes, the skin, her very aura.  Everything about her was dead.  There were only a few possibilities as to how she could have changed like this:  The first possibility was that something happened to her, either an abduction or blackmailing.  Or drugged like what happened to Esther.  The second possibility was that someone close to her died or committed suicide.  The third was that she killed someone and was overflowing with remorse.  And the fourth was any stupid reason to be glum.  Knowing Alisa he could cross out the fourth option.  Which means something drastic happened to her.  The best option here was not to press her for information.  Instead he took another drink from his bottle and set it down, looking out the window.  All those players out there.  Pathetically wasting their lives.  Doing nothing but sitting in the safe zones.  Meanwhile players like Domarus were seeking to grow powerful so as to get out of here as well as to complete their own agenda's.  Everyone had a desire and passion.  It seemed that whatever had happened snuffed out Alisa's.  He'd need to find out what.  If he could convince her to join him and his ideals, then his progress would be nearly complete.  All that would be needed would be to keep an eye out for a potential replacement to his tank general.  After a long silence he finally decided it was time to start off gently.

"Alisa...  Are you alright?"

Aye, it was true, Alisa was feeling dead inside. It was just pure and utter shock from what she had done. Of course, Domarus would have no idea of what she had done until she told her, but his general ideas were correct, just a combination of the two.

They had sat in silence for a few minutes, the girl just trying to patch herself up mentally. Thankfully, after a few minutes Domarus broke the silence, asking her rather gently if she was okay. After a few seconds, she slowly looked up at Domarus in the eyes, staring into them.

Slowly, she shook her head, and looked like she could cry, if she had any tears left. “N-No…” she stammered out lightly. Even with Beatbox comforting her, she was just so conflicted…and she couldn’t cling to Beatbox twenty four-seven. Though, Alisa was weak, perhaps he could push for information, and she’d spill her heart out, in detail.

Domarus watched as she finally spoke, even if it was one word.  She even said that she wasn't ok.  Even the old Alisa was stronger than that he thought.  Something definitely happened to have crushed her to this level.  He intended to find out.  However he couldn't just demand what it was.  He needed to take this slowly.  Alisa you child he thought.  When will you just grow up and suck it up instead of having a pity party.  If Domarus ended up going through something, he would do something about it rather than wallow in self pity or despair.  This was truly a disturbing scene.  Made him want to beat someone up again.  Either way, he wasn't one to show his real emotions.  All Alisa would see on his face would be empathy, concern, and a willingness to help.  Just as he required it to be.

"Alisa..  You know you can tell me right?  If need be I can keep a secret."  This was so painfully true he didn't know where to start.  From his personality and goals, to his cruel and ruthless actions.  His manipulation, deception.  All of this was a secret kept from the entire world.  Only three individuals had seen past his disguise:  Keres was the first.  She spotted it on his first day of school.  Surprisingly she wanted to join him because of this, and even begged to be his servant.  Mari noticed it swiftly because her personality was also dark and, well, it took one to know one.  While she didn't figure it out completely, Ivory was able to tell Domarus was lying.  The reason being because the conversation they had was in Ivory's area of expertise.
