[F7-SP] Search for the Beast <<Event Boss Search>> - Complete

Recommended Posts

Studying the monster closely, Husky founds that the Ent couldn't move much. This might prove to be his advantage. All he have to do was to attack the monster. Since it couldn't move, he wouldn't possibly be able to miss his attack. Running toward the Ent, Husky charged the sword art fully, and swing his fist. The fiery red glow of the sword art illuminated the area surround them.  However, as his gauntlet came to contact with the tree's body, it stopped, and his Sword Art broke. Pulling away quickly before the Ent has a chance to return an attack, Husky frowned. Malicious Ents have extremely hard trunks that's even harder than steel armor, almost impenetrable.

"Tree barks... Definitely no goods." He spat, readied for another round. Striking an attack pose, he solemnly scanned the monster for any weakness. If there's any way working around this, he could surely use it to his advantage.

While Husky was eyeing the monster for any opening, he thought of something. Imagining the tree barks as a set of armor, there would certainly weakness that he could exploit. Think back to the knights in full clad armor. There would always be opening, either underneath the arms and legs, where the joints are located; or simply around the neck, where armor wouldn't fully cover. With those images in his mind, Husky ran forward. Now, he knows where he should attack.

The Malicious Ent gave naught a warning. It swing the heavy branch toward the Silver Knight. Dashed under a swing, Husky used his strongest attack, throwing a flurry of punches toward the Ent, just under the branch. Indeed, its health trickled down by a good margin. "That's where I need to aim for." Husky told himself. Backing up before the monster managed to slapped him again, Husky took his fighting stance. It seemed like he might have a chance after all

"Aim for the neck and under the branches..." Husky told himself, readied his fist and ran back into the monster head on. Again, his gauntlets glowed the bright red of a phoenix. His Sword Art exploded upon the monster, each hit landed truly onto the beast. Each punch was thrown with fierce force. Once again, the Ent swung its branch rather sluggishly. Husky ducked under easily, quickly continued returning fire with another heavy swing. The three punched landed squarely upon the monster. One to the face of the Ent, two more just under the branch. As its HP bar plummet, Husky only needed a few more hit before the thing went down for good.

"Just a few more hit before the monster goes down for good." The Warrior told himself. He could've continued on, leaving the Malicious Ent behind, however, it still might pose a threat. It's best for him to deal with it with precaution.

Two more attack should seal the job, or so that's what he thought. Throwing his punch toward the monster, his gauntlet glowed brightly the color of fire red. However, striking at the tree bark, his attack was intercepted again. The punch painfully connected full force with the tree's body, as Husky winced in pain. Scolded at his own attack, Husky quickly leaped back before the monster could land any hit on him.

Breathing heavily, Husky stood still and observe. Maybe he should focused more, aiming at specific points on the monster's body. Take a good step back, Husky allowed himself to build up some momentum. This fight is getting a little longer than it has to. Energy consumption would pose a dangerous issue. If he wouldn't finish it quickly, Husky will have to face a dangerous consequences.

Continued on with his strategy, Husky repeatedly lunged back into the fight, each time more ferocious than another. The Monster tried its best to land a strike on him, but since it's rooted to the ground, its movement became very apparent and easy to predict. Husky only have to duck aside, or under the attack, and landed a blow back of his own. His <<Acupuncture>> Sword Art once again struck at its weak points, draining the tree's health away slowly but surely. The punches, as if ignited with fire, striking at the monster truly. Another three hits landed to the monster's face. Only a few more hit.

Husky took a step back. His eyes scanned around for anything he could use toward his advantage. His energy pool is draining, and he need to think of something before it ran dry, hindered his combat ability.

Seeing the Ent's health bar, Husky know he's nearly finish with the monster. One last strike. Just before the monster managed to get a hit on Husky, he spun around, his leg raised high. The heel of his boots, clad with metal smacked against the tree trunk hard. The <<Delayed Sword>> Skill was activate just before the monster landed its attack. In a quick session, the Silver Warrior raised his right arm, and slammed onto the monster will all his might, just under its chin. As its health bar reached zero, the Malicious Ent glowed in a blinding light, before bursting to millions of pieces that would slowly dispersed into the air.

"That took a lot longer than I had expected." Husky told himself, letting out a long sigh. He had not expect the small little encounter with one monster would take such a long time to finish. Now, he need to work double time, before it turns dark. Visibility would be none if he stalled the search out until night fall.

Wandering around the dark wood, Husky had hope that whatever he had discovered earlier in the day hasn't left or despawned from the area. It took him quite a hassle to get here, and going back empty handed would be a massive waste. Continued pressing on, the brunette scanned each area carefully so that he wouldn't miss anything, even if there's materials on the ground by the tree roots, or even finding where this supposed boss live. He did find another hare, but since shrouded by the dark, Husky could not get a good shot toward the little critter, as it scrambled away. Woofles were just a little to small to hunt down anything, and even then, the programming didn't seemed to allowed them to do so.The darkened sky made it all the more difficult to find anything. Not to be discouraged by the dark, Husky pressed onward.

Trailing along the opening area he found, Husky tied to search for any clues that could tell him of the whereabouts of the boss's location. His luck only got him so far, as the sky is turning from tint orange to dark night blue. Time is ticking out, and he still hasn't make any progress. Letting out a sigh of disappointment, Husky had thought about returning. Alas, he pushed through. It's no time for negative thinking. He already gotten so close. Husky wouldn't quit now, not until he get a slight hint of what caused these massive trees to waver in such unnatural pattern like so. Night monsters can certainly pose a threat to his journey. He must be careful for at any moment, Husky could be ambushed by one of the night creature roaming around in the dark forest.

The night sky arrived, and the eerie ambient atmosphere shrouded the already darkened forest. As the creatures of the night made their way out to the surface, Husky had found himself running out of time in a more peculiar spot than usual. He rarely ever traveled out at night, as it was something that was recommended against in most guide, considering all the risk factors and severe disadvantage of staying in the dark. But now, he might have to spend a night outside, unless he wanted to spend one teleportation crystal to get home safely.

Still, he want to branch out searching for more. Maybe he could found a clue as to where the monster is. Dark sky be damned. Husky has gone this far. No way he would go back to town. Only a while longer. Based his whole expedition off something he don't even know exist, other than a few hunches, and wavering trees, this have a high chance becoming nothing but a fluke. However, Husky has not lose hope yet. There're still chances what he find might be revelation.

Pushing himself through the bushes, Husky found himself walked into two Night Crawlers. The monsters looked similar to a Wendigo, with its skinny body frame and long limbs strikes a rather disturbing and intimidating posture. Their haunting crooked face stared at Husky, their eyes are naught but empty darkness. It sent a shiver down the Warrior's spine.

Both of them stood looming over Husky, as all two decided to turn their attention to the new approaching prey. Their longing and petrifying gaze fixated upon the brunette. One stood up on its hind leg, stretching its arm and took a swing at the Silver Warrior; however, with his quick reflex, Husk managed to ducked aside and repositioned himself. Running up with his Sword Art charged, the brunette used the <<Tornado Kick>> Sword Art. The move swept through both of the beasts, pushing the Night Crawlers back. The two creature dropped to the floor, writhing in pain, as they scrambled back to their feet.

With the two Night Crawlers pushed back by his first initial attack, Husky tried to take aggressive turn and leaped forward. His Sword Art fully charged, as the brunette began his attack. However, this time, the monster were readied, as both leaped back just before Husky could landed his attack. Their nimble and small frame provide a challenge to even keeping track over, especially with a large group.  Seeing no other option, the warrior backed off just before the monster can attack him.

"Alright... just have to take it slow." Husky told himself. The Night Crawlers are not to be taken lightly. These creature are cunning, and they fights in groups of two and three, usually surround the victims before attacking simultaneously. Maybe the best approach isn't to play aggressive but to wait for the monsters to come and retaliate according to their behaviors.

If aggressive approach isn't the best way to approach the fight, then maybe he should play on a more defensive term. Rooting himself to where he stand, Husky waited for the two Night Crawlers to attack. The two began to surround Husky, each snarled at him. Then, not before long, both of them leaped forward. Husky had had his sword art ready, and as the monster attack him, the Warrior retaliate.

Activating the <<Tornado Kick>> Sword Art once again, the Warrior leaped up where he stood. Spinning wildly, the heel of his leg smacked against the two monsters that were charging toward him. Both of them were pushed back, as Husky landed back down to the ground, taking a knee to recovered his balance. "Alright, playing defensive seemed like an optimal strategy." He told himself, sitting in one place and waited for the two monsters. The Night Crawlers got back to their feet, angered by the Warrior's attack.

The Night Crawlers leaped forward, their attack more ferocious than before. Husky couldn't duck in time, nor could he response to the two quick jabs from the two beasts. Their claws dug into his armor, pieced his flesh as well. The brunette could see red pixel fragments shot out from his body from the two attack done by the monsters -in a way representing his own blood. One hit landed in his shoulder while another scratched him by his ribs.

Husky felt the impact of those two attack. He winced in pain; his body shaken by the attack. Falling back to his back, he gazed forward into the darkened sky, covered by the roof of leaf foliage from the trees. Not before long, one of the two Night Crawler leaped into the air, and landed on top of Husky, shrieking a horrible sound at him. It raised the scrawny limb up into the air, and readied to bring it down onto the warrior, but he had managed to duck aside and pushed the monster off him before too late.

While backing up to create more room, Husky tripped over into what seemed like a small crater. The sword art that he had charged up, readied to use suddenly broke, as the glowing red of a blazing fire quickly diminished. That left him wide open for the attack.. The looming figures of the two monsters appeared before Husky, and not long, did they leaped in for an attack. Once they tried to pounced on him, Husky rolled aside, and ducked the attack. Two loud thuds. The monsters slammed their hands upon the dirt ground, as Husky had already gotten to the other end of the crater. Getting back up onto his feet, the Warrior returned his posture. His energy is running low, and if he isn't careful, Husky might find himself in a very dangerous situation. He need to act fast, either reserving his energy for a precise blow, or throw himself into the two monsters.

Seeing his Energy bar is running low, Husky decided to stay preserved. Let his energy bar regenerated back before he use anything would save him from running completely dry of resources, in case something does happen. All the while, the monsters surrounding him continued to attack. Two more swing hit Husky on each side of his body, front and back. Winced in pain, he took a knee, endured through the punishments. The creatures continued to circle the player, trapping him in place. There's only so much the brunette could take, before he will be forced to retaliate; Husky just have to wait for the perfect moment. Capitalizing on the enemy mistake, he should be able to bring the fight to an end. That is, if he could end the fight without draining his energy completely dry. If not, he will certainly regret travelling into the wild at night, especially places like this.

Woofles stood just under Husky feet, his fur standing straight up on their edge. His eyes glowed bright, revealing the monster's weakness. Husky traced along the monster. The warrior have had his Sword Art readied, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. If any monster leaped forward, Husky would be able to react in time, and retaliate.

The first one leaped forward for a ferocious attack, quickly followed by the other. However, at that time, Husky had prepared himself. Followed the weak points Woofles had help him located. Activating <<Tornado Kick>> Sword Art, the Warrior followed his same tactic. leaped to the air, Husky spun wildly. As he spun in circles, creating a small tornado, his attack swept through both of the monsters as they lunged forward to attack. Both got hit, and both's health bar dropped to zero. They dropped to the ground like flies, before bursting to million of pieces. Letting out a sigh, Husky took a sit, resting from a long stretched out battle.

Brushing himself clear of the virtual dust, Husky wiped off the sweat on his forehead. After the fight is over, the brunette finally got a hint of what the crater he had fell into was. It represent something that was created with tremendous force, not something that was naturally generated by the world. "So it's not a myth after all!" The brunette let out a cry in excitement, his mouth curved a smile. Finally, he found a lead as to where the Boss might be even exist or not.

Now, he will just have to search the area around. However, there's no clue as to where the boss might reside, and under the dark night, monsters can lurk at any corner. He must picked up his pace if he want to find it quick. Climbed out of the shallow crater, Husky looked around, only to see nothing. His short lived excitement died, as the warrior continued on searching for the illusive monster he had been searching all day for.

Stumbling upon a bush, Husky managed to stopped himself from stumbling down from a large cliff. Knowing many that have died from falling damage, and he would've shared the same fate. However, just as he thought the floor couldn't go any lower elevation, below him was a vast valley and the forest beneath. This is not what Husky had expected. Well, if the boss could be anywhere, there's a good chance they would be here. Saying that to himself, Husky think it would be a good idea to set a small campfire here for now.

Using a set of fire-starter he bought a while back, Husky created a little fire, providing warmth and comfort, an improvise cooking station for raw material, while driving the monsters away as well. It's a good item to have for traveling at night, but it only have a duration of two hour max, so he must use them precariously.

Sitting upon the cliff, the fire crackling behind him, Husky kept an open eye for any activity from the boss. Woofles laid behind him, enjoying the warmth that the campfire provided. So far, the wood has returned to the silent state that it was when he enter. Still, naught a sign of where the Boss might lies. It's getting frustrated at this point that he had been searching for the whole day. The Warrior has been searching for nearly every corner, and yet the biggest clue he got was a random hole on the ground. Maybe he was wrong about that hole he found earlier. Maybe it was some random world generation, and he just mistaken it for what he was searching. That mustn't it. Shaking his head clear of doubts, Husky focused on the task. He can't quit here, and if he have to spend tomorrow to look for this monster, then he'd continue his search.

Then, just as Husky began having skeptics toward whether or not the boss really did exist, within the valley, the trees began shaking, almost violently, like what he saw the same day, in the morn. Sprang up from his seat, Husky rubbed his eyes gently, making sure he's not seeing things from the overly ambitious goal he has partake. "No... that's real." The exclamation of the warrior confirmed the reality unfolding in front of his eyes. Now, he's convinced that there're more than just a normal monster lurking in the woods. Through his experience, regular monsters wouldn't be able to create such a massive commotion, but this one is different. Trees as tall as buildings are being rustled and shaken like grass on a windy field. There's no doubt that something with the strength of many foes is lurking beneath. He only needed to locate what it was. But now, another problem revealed itself, a cliff edge stand in between Husky, and his goal.
