[SP - F1] Gone Fishing << Fourth Lesson >>

Recommended Posts

Kairi had business to take care of, there was one last Tutorial she could really take, after this majority of her tutorial quests would be completed, other than the Venomous Warg, however she couldn't really complete that in time to get any of the SP, so she just didn't bother at all to get it. Kairi had looked last box she needed to deliver. She had taken a deep breath as she had knew she had made it so far, thanks to the help of her loving girlfriend Hestia. She knew she had grew powerful since she had started roughly a few weeks ago, she had good equipment and she knew that she would be able to do anything as long as she had put the effort into it. She knew she can do this... she had made her way to the First Floor to deliver the package to a man named Pete at a lake.

Kairi had exited the safe zones in order to find the man located a giant lake, however she doesn't ever recall seeing a giant lake being around, however opening her menu's to see a map of the floor, there was a giant lake towards the north. Which was weird, she had never recalled seeing a lake, however she must've never seen it and it was opened to her when she got Map Data from a Information Broker. She had sighed, it had seemed that despite trying getting used to floors and their layouts, she was just too short or wasn't good enough to truly know a place. However she didn't think that it was widely important as long as she knew where to go. Eventually looking forward to the Giant Lake, her grin had turned to a wide smile seeing the beauty of the lake, it had been a while since she had seen a body of water, however she had shook her head, she needed to get back on track then she could enjoy the scenery.

Eventually Kairi had spotted the man on a dock, and he sure looked like a Fisherman. Kairi had walked up to the man and greeted him presenting to him the Package that she had to deliver. "Ah, finally! I was wondering when she would send me this." the man had opened the package and pulled out a rather large fishing pole. "Ah, this is it! The fishing pole to fish up rather large fish." he had looked up and down the fishing pole and looked back to Kairi and said "Anywhoo, since you are here, maybe you can help me. I needed to fish up a huge Swordfish for a client however I doubt my capabilities to catch the fish. Would you like to help me?" he had asked, then the quest menu had appeared before Kairi, looking up to the man Kairi had nodded her head and pressed the accept button accepting the quest.

"Perfect!" the old man had cheered out and handed Kairi the giant fishing pole, Kairi had taken the Fishing Pole in her hands in shock that he had moved it to her extremely quickly. However she had looked up to the man listening to his task and what she had needed to do to complete the quest. "Alright what you need to do is go out there in the Lake and snag yourself a Giant Swordfish, they are pretty common in this lake, however with my small pole it couldn't reach far enough or was strong enough to reel it in. To get it for me you are going to have to put it down, however don't worry about killing it, it wont explode into crystals, it'll become a consumable!" Kairi had nodded her head and before she could speak the man had spoke out again "Of course, you can use my boat, I don't expect you to catch the sword fish all the way from here. Get to fishin' missy!" he had said out with a chuckle.

Kairi had felt overwhelmed with the man as she had given her the information she had needed, however she would just wing it if she had forgot a detail that she had needed. Placing the fishing pole into the boat she had sat down in the boat as well, she was a little worried that she might've forgotten how to row a boat however she didn't think it was that hard... of course that's what she had thought. In reality it had took her an hour to actually make it out to the center of the lake, she didn't understood if you moved the right row that you would go left and vice versa. However she had finally made it. Kairi had let go of the rows and let out a deep breath and she was just lucky that she didn't accidentally fall in the water or anything. She had looked over to the fishing pole and sent the bobber out to the middle of the lake, and she had just assumed that... well, she would need to wait to get the Swordfish on the line.

Kairi had placed a hand on her cheek as she had began the waiting game before getting something on the line. Kairi had sighed and remembered why she never liked fishing, it was because this was the most boring thing in the world. She had just wanted to get this done, however she knew it was going to take her longer than what she had wanted. She had looked around, at least she had the beauty of the world around her and the lake to keep her company. However she had knew that eventually it would become rather... non-enjoyable real quickly real fast. However for the time being she had enjoyed the surroundings to stay sane while fishing. She had sighed when she didn't even get a nibble from the line, however this was just to be expected from the game or from fishing in general.

Kairi had sighed, this was incredibly boring. Even if she had a beautiful environment around her, this was still making her go a little insane, because she was doing was sitting around away from literally anything, doing nothing waiting for her to catch something. A couple of times, she had reeled back the Bobber just to see if she had caught anything small, however she didn't catch anything. With a sigh, she had sent the Bobber back out to the lake, placing her elbow on her knee and a hand on her cheek as she had kept the other hand on the fishing pole. After a moment of waiting or a few minutes, she had still caught nothing. She had tapped her feet on the Boat's floor waiting and waiting for something to happen, she had looked at her Buster Sword that had laid on the Boat's floor and just wished she could be fighting something or doing anything at the given moment.

After a bit of time, Kairi had felt extremely impatient, she was hoping that she might be able to get to other things today, she was hoping that she could fight other Mob's and get some loot, not just sit around waiting that hopefully she could fish up a simple fish all day. Kairi had sighed as time had progressed minutes had passed and nothing had been happening. However after a bit the fishing pole moved just a little bit, Kairi had looked up with a hopeful face and waited making sure that she wasn't seeing things, however then immediately the fishing pole jolted forward. Kairi with both of her hands had smiled and began to reel in her prize and after a moment, the Swordfish had raised out of the lake and looked at Kairi with red-eyes with its cursor being shown and its HP bar appearing, it was ready to fight.

Kairi had looked to the Swordfish for the split second and was a little concerned it had a point that could pierce anything, including heavy armors, she was deeply worried what might happen if that thing had penetrated Kairi. Kairi had shook her head went down quickly to her Buster Sword that had laid on the Boat Floor to be ready to strike against it. However no matter what she was going to give the Swordfish an opportunity to attack, however there was nothing she really could do about that. She had went down to get the Sword waiting for the fish to make its action, closing her eyes scared to see what had happened next she had felt the boat shake a little and heard a flopping sound. Looking forward she had seen the Swordfish placed in the boat flopping around. With a smile Kairi had charged a sword art with enough power to kill it.

Spinning in a circular motion she had sliced the Swordfish a bunch of times until the Swordfish had eventually dropped dead, after a moment she had seen it had stopped flopping in the boat and had stopped breathing. Kairi was a little shocked, was this what happens to all fish in this game? She had placed her Buster Sword back on the floor of the boat and began to poke the Swordfish, however it didn't move and it didn't even twitch when she had poked it. Kairi had thought that it would be good to presume that it was dead now, since it was moving and wasn't doing anything. She had sat back down on the boat and let out a deep breath, she was happy that it was dead and that she had finished the last of her tutorial quests. However... it wasn't fully complete yet, she needed to row her way back to land.

Kairi had taken a deep breath and thought for a moment how in the world she was going to get back to the dock without the Swordfish leaving the boat. She had looked over from side to side and she had just assumed that she would need to be extra extra careful. She had grabbed onto the rows, and carefully directed herself towards the dock and slowly slowly moved forward towards the dock. She had carefully moved forward making sure the fish didn't move out of the boat, if she had seen the fish move out of the boat she would stop rowing to move it back into position. She had repeated this process a few times, till she had eventually reached back out to the dock, standing up on the wood she had stretched for a moment before reporting her results. She had smiled at the job well done she had done.

Kairi had said out to the man "All done! The swordfish is in the boat." she had smiled. The old man had looked in the boat and with a smile he had turned back to Kairi and said to her "Ahhh, that is indeed the swordfish I am looking for! Thank you, please take this fish I had caught and prepared earlier for a job well done." Kairi had saw the quest complete screen in front of her and she had pressed accept completing the last tutorial quest. She had taken in a deep breath happy that she had gotten the beginner quests done. She had finished all her beginner stuff and now she was free to tackle whatever she wanted, she had taken a deep breath and then walked away from the lake and went to go fight a boar or a couple of boars to get some loot just to finish off the day to keep herself busy.

Kairi had moved forward, however she had almost forgot her Buster Sword, with a giggle she had retrieved it from the boat looking at the old man, the Old Man had looked over to her and nodded his head saying that it was okay to get her Sword back. Kairi had placed her Buster Sword back onto her back as she had moved back forward into the fields. The boar's had still dwindled after the first day and everyone had spent so long grinding up on levels, and all the low levels coming out to gain more levels. However, she was sure that she could still find one. And after a moment she had found one, she had gotten her Buster Sword from her back and she had held it up high against the Boar, however the Boar had looked over to the woman with red eyes ready to strike against it.

Kairi's blade had glowed a bright blue when she had stared down the boar as it had looked forward ready to fight against her, she had thought for a moment what would be a good strategy to fight against the Boar. Many strategies had came to her head, however the best strategy that she had thought up of, was to wait for the enemy to strike first then make her attack. The boar in a frenzy had moved forward trying to ram her, however the Boar had tripped and fell onto the ground, Kairi had let out a giggle and she had moved forward with her charged sword art and swung against it, cutting it basically all throughout its body, she had managed to deal a good chunk of damage and even managed to inflict a stun on the boar. Proud of herself she wasn't going to stop the assault and began to charge another sword art.

Kairi had looked down to the Boar that had faintly tried to get up from the ground, and... she had felt a little bad. It kind of reminded her of a poor animal looking for help, however Kairi had shook her head. In this situation it was kill or be killed, this wasn't some animal that was in desperate need of help and get away, this was a animal that was mad it could get up and attack Kairi. Kairi had activated the same sword art she had used against it in the last attack, accidentally however it was still a good attack against it. Looking down at its HP bar, it had dwindled, it had fell down to the red zone. She had almost killed the poor monster, however as its stun had worn down the Boar had looked towards Kairi extremely mad, and it had looked like it would ram her a million times until she had died.

The boar had looked at Kairi with a bit of burning rage as it had gotten extremely mad about being stunned, however as it had moved forward again it had once again... tripped. Kairi had let out a giggle as she had thought this was hilariously funny, today was just a weird day, all the monsters that she had fought today did not really attack her very well, it had seemed as though they had all fumbled. However Kairi wasn't going to deny this opportunity that had been displayed to her. Kairi had moved forward and had sliced and dice the Boar apart, ending its life. The boar had let out a squeal as its HP had reached zero, however its life and movements had seemed like it had slowed down to a crawl until its body had exploded into a bunch of crystals that had faded into the air.

Kairi had felt a little bad though from killing the boar, it barely had a chance to attack, and the times it did it tripped both times. After a moment the loot table had appeared in front of her showing that she had only gotten some col from it. She had shrugged and thought that it was good enough for her, and it was a good enough prize along with the col she would get from the quest. She had noticed the time and she had sighed, it had seemed like it was time to head home, however she had figured that she might as well try to find a material before heading back. She had spent a moment walking back to the main settlement looking for a lone material, however after a bit of searching putting not much effort into it, she failed at finding one... maybe she wasn't going to find one on the trail?

Kairi had sighed, her luck wasn't good at finding materials, and apparently fishing either. She had giggled at the thought of her earlier being frustrated at fishing, it was clear that she had no patience what so ever when it came to fishing or basically anything. She wanted immediate success, however of course it wouldn't come to her just like that without work. She had kept an eye open when walking down the trail back to the main settlement to get to the floor teleporter to head home, however she had could of sworn that she had seen one however it had left her eyes and she had never seen it again. She had sighed and slammed her foot against the ground when she had lost the material that she had found. She was incredibly disappointed with herself for losing something that she could have used especially after a purchase with materials.

Kairi was incredibly mad at her when she had let a material leave her eyes, however she had stopped in her tracks trying to find the material that she had seen, she had looked around like a hawk in attempts trying to find the material that she had tried to find. After a bit of time, she had spotted it! Moving over towards it as fast as she could making sure that it was hers, she had inspected it and saw that it was absolutely flawless. With a giggle she had put it into her inventory had started to head back to the main settlement, she was ready to just turn in for the day she was growing tired by the moment, and she had just wanted to get back to her room in Hestia's home and rest up all night... maybe even ask to cuddle up with her tonight, she had felt weird sleeping with her, however she could only assume it was natural.

Kairi had made her way back on the trail as the Town of Beginnings was not too far away, keeping her eye out for any more Materials that she could use, however as she had walked forward her chances of finding a material had gotten staggeringly low, and she had basically gave up on finding another Material. At least she had found one? She had giggled as in her mind she had taken finding one single material to be a victory in her book. However she knew it was getting a little too late, and she basically needed to rush home. Dashing through the main settlement with her chest bouncing as she had ran, she needed to get to the floor teleporter to make sure that she could make it home in time and safely. The last thing she wanted to do was get home basically half dead or almost dead.
