[SP - F02] There's a reason we use weapons <<Breaking The Unbreakable>>

Recommended Posts

Neo gave the boulder another strike, she felt it trying to balance itself in preparation for another strike back. Neo knew that it was struggling, and pushed it to fix itself, to right itself. She didn't give it the rest to do so on its own time. She would make it fight to be balanced, just as she had fought to stop the nepent's rampage. She would take it down with the ruthlessness the nepents showed Amethyst while sparing it her kindness. She would use the power of all the people who have given affect onto her emotions and push them into the rock. without its balance it would not be able to sort through them all. it would be powerless as it tried in vain to defeat the creature that was pummeling it. There was no mercy that Neo could afford it. If she gave mercy than it would never grow, only weaken knowing that cowardice was an option.

Neo gave the boulder another punch, watching as cracks began to deepen and stretch along the boulder. She didn't give it a break. Either it would break down, or finally balance and break her. There was no balance without unbalance. In order for one thing to gain balance, another thing must become unbalanced, She wouldn't let herself become unbalanced after working so hard to balance herself. She felt the guilt of destroying the rock, but didn't let it affect her. She also felt the joy of completing her task, along with the anger of it taking so long and the sadness of having no more teachings. She had it all together now, swirling about in her own mind. She could see each detail clearly. She didn't let one take control, merely pass by for Neo to observe as it passed through her into the boulder. The boulder that would soon become two.

Neo felt as she struck once more the boulder trying to give another burst of its emotion. Seeing that that made for two, Neo let it use that and sent the opposite right back at it. Though it made her a little unbalanced, they were fighting on her land. She determined when the emotions were traded and she could balance quicker. She could take the unbalance while the rock was still finding its own. She wouldn't let up, she stood strong against her opponent. It was nearing a breaking point and Neo was ready for it to snap. It was close to balance, but also close to its darkness. It was the moment of truth to see whether the rock would poke its head into the dark or remain on the light. This was the moment that would determine whether or not the boulder would be able to find its center.

Neo decided to wait and let the boulder balance itself. There was no need to rush, she would make it think it had respite at last and could make a semblance of balance. But Neo would be ready. The boulder would want to give another burst, and that would be its doom. That would be what finally ended it and would doom it to split. All Neo needed to do was wait patiently as the rock tried to bring itself together. She would make sure that it would be broken apart faster than before. And she would ensure that she learned from the experience. Neo reflected upon the lessons she had learned, remembering about each and every one. She let them be strung together. Tying themselves together as one instruction. They each had their own place in the greater scheme of things. As did Neo, she was a larger piece, but still a piece of the whole. She would not win on her own, but with the power she was given by those she was with and those who had left her.

Neo struck the boulder once more, and felt it give its third burst of emotional power. That was it, it was unbalanced. The rock struggled to regain its balance, but Neo was ready for it. She made sure not to rush into her attack though. She checked her emotions. They were in balance and mixed. They were supporting her actions as well as guiding them. She was the one telling the emotions what to do, she said what would be done and when. She was in control. She would be the one to conquer the rock. It would not be her anger or her sadness. It would be the cycle of her emotions fueling into each other that would show the rock that balance is not achievable through force. It is through letting go and accepting what has happened that one can finally find the balance that they need in order to truly find peace.

The rock was off balance, and it was Neo's turn to strike. She gave it a punch with all of her emotion behind it. Not just one, but everything that she could muster in one blow. As her fist connected with the rock, it broke in two. It was unable to find its balance and Neo didn't show mercy. If it was unable to shore its own defenses, it would be doomed to fall. As soon as the rock broke apart, the old man came over to see Neo once more.

"You have learned all I have to teach and more. You will certainly go far in this world with the knowledge you have. Don't forget that this can be applied anywhere, not just in the confines of battle. However, if you lose your balance, it will be hard to bring back."

With that, Neo left, making sure to remember the lessons that she had been taught.
