[F01- PP] Two Down, Two to Go <<The Third Lesson, Is Just As Free>> W/ Mars

Cynthia quickly made her way through the Town of Beginnings heading for the relative center of the town. Just west of the central plaza there was a small grove which Cyn had never been to but according to the old blacksmith the recipient of the package was there. And so the red headed girl quickly made her towards the only person there. She was a woman with with long brown hair- nearly as long as Cynthia's own- who was doing sketches of the trees around her. Cynthia, not caring about interrupting the artist's work strode right up to her and gave her the package from the blacksmith. "This is for you," The red head said and then she stood waiting for the simple quest that would inevitably come. And it came indeed. The artist unwrapped her package revealing a simple and unadorned gold ring.  Then the artist turned to Cynthia and told her that in a nearby cave there would be a jewel that if Cyn brought it back to her, she could mark her a simple trinket. Cynthia was already walking to where the artist pointed the cave would be when the artist gave a warning about a cave guardian. Cynthia hardly listened. After the last quest she was able to put ranks into her katana skill. Killing the cave guardian would be an easy task. "Let's go Darky. Its questing time." Cynthia told her tall and dark haired companion. I wonder what his actual name is.

Mars makes his way through the town following the red-headed girl since that is what he is meant to do to accompany the girl to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid to get herself killed during this since it would be a waste of a potential resource at the very least in his eyes as he glances towards her. Watching as she arrives at the location and hands over the items and does the necessary dialogue before coming back with news that they should get going to finish this quest up as he just nods his head for the meantime while following after he at a casual pace. Lead the way Crimson. He says casually towards the girl with a slight grin showing he has no intentions at all for helping her find the location of the cave if she wasn't told its location from the artisan girl who needs her little crystal having been long enough that he is certain their are some things here and there the game would differ between NPC interactions with other players.

Cynthia nods her head and keeps moving, striding through the streets, and pushing past players and NPC. She never looked back to see if Darky was following her. The red head simply moved purposefully towards the the exit of the Town of Beginnings her odachi, Vallen, strapped to her back. Once outside of the city the read headed player removed the long blade from her back and held the sheathed blade in her right hand. Then she began moving to where the artist had said the cave would be. Hopefully it won't be too long of a trek. I want to get this quest over with as fast as possible. Cynthia moved past clusters of trees, hopped over streams, and trekked up the green hills until one of the closer mountains that enclosed the first floor came into view. "The the cave is probably over there," Cyn said pointing to the mountain. She stopped and turned to Darky, "Remember anything from when you did this quest that will help me get it done sooner, Darky?"

It's dark in the cave make sure that when you swing your blade at the enemy guardian that you are guaranteed swinging it at the enemy guardian. Also the enemy has a strong opening right hook might want something that can protect you. He says as his only warning towards the woman with a smirk on his face as he follows the red haired woman until she stops when in sight with the cave as he passes her after telling her his slightly vague warning about the cave before making his way forward knowing that if she is observant enough she will notice the change in her chances to hit the enemy beforehand, or regretfully during the middle of the fight when she is missing more than she had done during the boars. 'And unlike some others i have seen she doesn't have thorns at all to help her win this fight.' he thinks to himself with a slight look of amusement dancing within his eyes at such a thought wondering if she will even survive the golem ahead.

Post Action: Using Safeguard Potion

Cynthia nods at Darky's advice and continues into the dark cave. A heavy hitting guardian huh? Didn't I get something last quest that could help with that?  Cynthia paused for a second to look through her inventory until she found the potion she had received as a reward for the last quest. Safeguard potion? sounds like it should be helpful. Cynthia pulled out the potion, unstoppered it and then drank it all. The potion itself tasted like hot syrup. Just like molten sugar going down. "Well that stuff tasted awful hopefully it helps." The red head then continued into the shadowed cavern. Once she was a good way inside the cavern, Cynthia realized that she could hardly see through the darkness. Fighting in this should interesting. Cynthia gripped the handle of her odachi in anticipation. Hopefully this quest would be a little more interesting and fun then the last two and hopefully it would have a good reward.

He glances towards the goal as she starts to make her way into the cave as he follows behind her with his hands within his pockets providing no further information towards the girl. From here on out this is all you for this quest and the next. You are on your own Crimson. He says with a smirk wanting to see how long it will take for her to find the crystal, kill the enemy, and than find her way back out. He just smiles at that thought and waits patiently just remaining a silent observer in the back his black clothing and general black coloring allowing him to fade into the background of the area becoming one with the darkness of the cave. The black haired martial artist moving swiftly and silently to observe from a distance while maintaining a decent distance in front of the woman his familiar staying behind and walking at the pace that Mars would walk to maintain a small illusion of him being behind her.

Cynthia ventured deeper into the cave. Darky had moved on somewhere else, leaving his familiar behind. Cyn shrugged her shoulders and kept moving. He was probably observing not too far away though how he would observe in this nigh absolute darkness. Cynthia's eyes darted about in the darkness looking for the gem she was supposed to find. Just as the red head rounded a corner she heard something rumble, almost like a boulder had decided to move from its original spot. On instinct Cynthia drew out Vallen and slashed out with the long blade. The blade hissed through empty air. Cynthia quickly brought the weapon up and braced it with her hands just as a massive rocky first smashed into her. Cynthia went flying and felt the effect of potion she drank give her shatter as it took the full force of the attack. The red head landing in a loaded position, waited half a second to catch her breath, and then charged towards the massive figure.

he calmly observes from a distance and watches the moving healthbars of the mob as the healthbar doesn't deplete at all making it obvious the woman had missed, and from the fact he isn't hearing any angry words or noises that are in a feminine pitch means that she has not been injured in any sort of way due to her safeguard. While also having not missed since the sound would've been concrete meeting concrete which would've been a deep rumbling sound echoing through the cave. He just grins and continues to watch wondering how she will react to having to attack within the dark to have her eyes removes from her. 'Battle is more than seeing the enemy your eyes deceive you girl. To survive is to use all your senses' he thinks to himself as he patiently waits to see the result. His familiar moves around the fight that is happening and makes his way over towards his owner and rests along the ground next to him. The tiger creating only a great enough flame to surround Mars' position making the fight still impossibly dark for the woman to fight the creature.

As the red head charged the massive stone golem, the monster swung its massive club of a fist forcing the spry girl to halt her attack and jump to the side. Cynthia cursed under her breath and quickly rolled backwards as the creature swung a wildly haymaker at the girl. Th blow missed but it still slammed into the ground causing the entire cavern to shake which knocked the already off balance girl down to the ground. Cynthia cursed again and then shakily rose to her feet. This thing is strong and quite powerful but if I could just hit it once I could get it off balance and kill it. Cynthia scanned her surroundings. It was pitch black except for the small orange glow from Darky's fire cat familiar. And that light was definitely not helping the red head's dark vision. She could just barely see the outline of the cave guardian.

He watches from the dark able to hear the sound of a heavy hand slamming into the ground as the reverberations echo throughout the area as he chuckles a bit at that since it means that the creature missed once more, but on the other hand he sees the healthbar not move at all signifying that she had missed also making this fight one more second longer than what was necessary. His familiar flares up for a brief moment with its fire before dying back down the creature silently judging the woman that his owner seemingly wants to be a partner of some kind as the martial artist himself just views the scene with amusement. 'She has no experience in fighting, but from there i can build off it to something greater than what she once was if given the time to do so.' He thinks to himself with a slgiht grin to himself as he remains where he is rather content to just watch the entire proceedings happen out in front of him.

Cynthia shifted her grip on her odachi. The red head's eyes dart uselessly about while her eyes strain just as much for any sound. Thankfully its hard to miss once the cave guardian begins moving since it sounds like a small rock slide. Cynthia waits half a second to let the monster get closer then she smoothly moves to the side, ducking as she does. She feels the displaced air as the guardian's fist flies inches above her head. Cyn scowls and activates a sword art. Her blade glows white- illuminating the area just around Vallen's blade- and sparks as she lays into the monster. She executes two quick but powerful slashes and watches as the health bar of the guardian depletes going past half. Cyn grins and her cold eyes flash. The monster stumbles backwards, its joints creaking and groaning. It seems to still be weakened and then the red headed player notices something. There is an icon of sorts by the end of the guardian's health bar. It looks like a couple drops of red blood. Interesting...

He just watches the fight with a grin upon his face wondering if she will be able to actually finally hit the creature and learn to use something besides her eyes which is the single reason this quest most likely exists to teach players just that exact thing to trust within the system, and to trust something besides their eyes when attacking creatures that might seem impossible to hit within certain conditions. Suddenly the health bar plummets right after the sound of a whizzing blade through the air followed by a breathe scraping sound as it ends with a bleeding effect being prompted by the game that signals that the battle is basically over already. Getting up from his spot Mars looks towards his familiar and lets out a short sharp whistle while making his way towards the exit not seeing a reason to continue further observations for this fight at the very least since all that is their to see is now gone with the bleed going to kill the golem within a second before the girl would have a chance to even attack the enemy.

Cynthia goes to retrieve her sheath as the cave guardian stumbles after he, Its health bar inexorably ebbing away. The red head sheaths her odachi just as the monster's health bar reaches zero and it crumbles into pixels of red light. "Alright Darky, The monster's dead. Let's go find that crystal and then get out of here." Cynthia looked around til she found where the other player's flaming familiar was. After locating that she continued on further into the cavern and hopefully to find whatever crystal the artisan person wanted. After a couple twists and turns the duo came to a larger cavern that was brighter than usual because it seemed to have faintly glowing gems embedded in the rock walls. "I guess this is where I get the crystal." And with that The red haired player moved over to the cavern wall, intent on removing one of the glowing gems.

He sees the flash of red that illuminates the cave with the source behind him causing a area in front of him lit up to a rather nice extent for a brief moment. Go get the crystal Red. He says back towards the girl with a wave of his hand towards her that goes unseen from the darkness of the cave obscuring his entire features. The martial artist exiting the cave to leave the red haired woman to get the crystal and than finally get out of the cave whether she will have to fight a mob by herself or not he doesn't really care that much since it would be a learning experience in the end. Along with that it should be possibly for herself to deal with since as long as he doesn't do anything to help her, the mob would be leveled towards her only and not himself which means he could go and actually fight something at his level while she is off doing the fight. His familiar continue flaring up in fire and flames lighting up the area around the martial artist as the duo of martial artist and familiar leave the cave.

The red headed player walked over to the cavern wall, one hand empty and the other gripping her odachi Vallen, and she started to removed one of the crystal. For the fact that it was embedded into a rock wall it was fairly easy to remove the gem. Cynthia only had to struggle with the glowing stone for a minute or two before she got it free and then put it in her inventory. After that she turned back to the exit and began to retrace her steps towards the outside world. Thankfully, even in the pitch black darkness, Cynthia was able to make back outside easily. Darky was waiting outside of the cave with his familiar and Cynthia simply walked past him and began the return back to the Town of Beginnings. "Come on Darky let's go back and turn in this dumb quest." And with that the red head continued walking.

he chuckles in slight amusement at this girl that seemingly thinks she can boss him around or at the very least knows how to stay on task one or the other that he finds himself unsure of really by the end.  Though when it comes down to it either way all that is required of him is to stay near the vicinity with this woman to get through these quests one way or the other and if he can do so he'll accomplish that without losing his sanity in the process from dealing with these quests once more. 'At least it isn't Nepents.' he can only think to himself as he follows the girl a bit after he has though that with his familiar at Mars' side who unleashes torrents of flames through one boar after the other killing them one by one with only what would constitute as a basic attack from this game's logic of how it is ran. Closing his eyes he lets the sensation of the wind wash over him as a gentle breeze goes past him which is rather refreshing on a sunny day.

The dark red haired player began heading back to the the Town of beginnings, she strolled ahead of her dark haired and dark clad companion and his pet fire cat, moving past streams, bushes and copses of trees. Cynthia kept walking hardly looking around or regarding her surroundings which she probably should have been doing. Especially once a massive boar came charging out of a small grouping of trees straight towards the lightly armored red head. Cyn's years of gymnastics probably saved her from a hit right then. She quickly got into a loaded position and then jumped upwards out of the boar's path, arcing over the monster and landing behind him. Cyn grimaced and drew out her odachi, tossing aside the sheath. I swear every monster that catches a glimpse of me tries to kill me. Probably because I'm such low level. Whatever it is its time to kill this boar.

He watches as a mob charges towards the red haired woman as he just chuckles softly before giving her a pat on the back before moving past her not going to help the girl at all while continuing to make his way towards the direction of the town of beginnings. I'll be waiting for you by the third lesson quest giver where you'll need to give her the jewel don't die on the way back because of a stupid boar that would be the most pathetic way to die. He says towards the red haired woman while than making his way out of ear shot of her his hands within his pockets with a amused smile upon his face as he does so figuring that Slayer will either be annoyed or glad that he is out of her personal space. With the annoyed being from the idea that she might view him as leaving her for dead out in the wilderness alone where a player killer could come to vulture her to end her life as fast as possible. 'Which does bring up the question of how to even find such killers to put them down once and for all.'

As Darky headed off with a wave saying he would meet her at the quest giver and not to die, Cynthia actually had mixed feelings. She was partly glad that the intrusive and unwanted companion was gone but then again he had his head firmly planted on his shoulders unlike most people the red head had met. Also he was strong and had a certain mystique to him. Cynthia quickly turned her attention back to the fight just as the boar began to charge her. The red head quickly leapt to the side and braced her odachi with both hands pushing aside the boar's thrashing tusks. The monster barreled past her and Cynthia quickly re-positioned so that she could actually get an attack off next time. This boar was much faster than the other full grown adult boars in addition to being bigger and probably a fair margin stronger by its looks.

He continues making his way forward toward the town of beginnings at a rather relaxed pace with a small smirk on his face figuring that this could at least be a decent test of her skills at a early level. Since in theory since the boar would be stronger than the others since it definitely didn't look like the average boar pup it would mean she would need to use more strength, and skill to defeat the enemy which would be rather desirable qualities to have in a person or warrior. Strength to overpower the enemies that would become the opposition that would be faced, and skill to accompany such strength to guarantee a advantage in terms of either strategy or at least a rather smart build plan to take care of the other enemies and quests ahead. Well she'll either make it back alive, or i won't have to see her again and be using my time on someone that won't make it that far into his game and world. Lets see which occurs first than. He says in a casual tone of voice not sounding that worried about either outcome.
