[SP-F3] To hunt for Upgrade Materials - Complete

Recommended Posts

Seldentar steps off of the Teleport Pad on the third floor, with Shadow following behind him out of the blue light. As he looks around the village at the Elven NPC figures, he shakes his head. Everyone had to be human, but there were elves. Laughing, he leans down, scratching behind Shadows ears.

"Alright boy, we gotta find those sealions. Apparently the metal they drop is supposed to make weapons extra fast, I think If i use that, I can enhance my Blooddrinker."

Seldentar heads out of the safe zone, looking around. He was unfamiliar with Floor 3, and the Prairie Field was a bit confusing for him. He had heard there was a shore line, but he wasn't really sure where to go to get to it. He sighs, looking down at Shadow for a moment, before looking across the field again. He really wished he had this floor mapped out. He decides to just start looking.

Seldentar searches for a while, eventually finding a large hill. He sighs, maybe this wasn't the best idea. He didn't even know where the shore was, and now he was lost. He had his teleport crystal, but he really didn't want to have to waste that. He starts to walk up the hill, deciding to take a break for lunch on the top. Maybe once he got there, he would be able to get a better view and find where he wanted to go. At the very least, it was an enjoyable day to have an impromptu picnic. That was his reasoning at least as he walked up the hill.

As he reaches the top of the hill. He hears a loud screeching noise. He notices, too late, he had stepped on what seemed to be some sort of large egg. It wavered, cracked apart, before breaking and vanishing. Oh boy...he thought to himself. Looking up, he sees a large eagle swooping down at him. Well damn, he thinks, drawing his sword. This was bad. He had just wanted to get his metal and leave, now he had to deal with a pissed off Eagle. Raising his sword, as the Eagle comes into range he triggers his favorite Sword Skill, going through the motions to activate . He jumps up into the air, leaping up above the Eagle as it swooped down, and then drove his sword into its back, his sword skill finding its mark.

The Eagle retaliated as he landed, raking its claws across Seldentars back. Growling in pain, Seldentar spins around, flanking the enemy with Shadow. He sees his fox familiar, eager and ready to pounce, and with a grin, jumps forward, ready to try his new skill. His eyes glow blue briefly, as his Skill activates.

"Shadow, get him now!"

He runs forward, swinging his sword in a diagonal slash down at the birds torso area.

The Eagle, screeching in pain, clawed at Seldentar again, who, still coming down from his hidden skill use, got thrown back from the attack, the gash deep in his chest. He frowned, struggling to get back to his feet. His HP dropping slightly, he gripped his sword tightly, then dashed forward, trying to cut through the monster. Behind it, Shadow leaps into the air, trying to bite the monster. The Eagle began to fly straight at Seldentar, and Shadow misses. Seld, however, dashes past it, slashing at it painfully as it flys past, his Blooddrinker again restoring a small amount of HP.

Seldentar watched as the creatures HP dropped into the red, and, coming to a stop, spins around and dashes again at the monster. The Eagle, swooping around, flys straight at Seld, as they rush towards each other in a no holds barred final attack, the Eagle seeking revenge for its young, while Seldentar fought for his very survival. Armed with his sword, he lunges forward at the last second. With a final stab, he pierces through the monster, depleting the last of its HP while he restores the last of his own. Sitting down afterwards, he takes note of the Col drop.

As he sits, he takes note of the two large eggs, a chill going down his spine. He knew it was just a game, but still, these would eventually have hatched into eagles like that one. He had to remember that those eagles would then attempt to kill him. With determination in his eyes, he looks away and back to the prairie surrounding him. He wouldn't destroy eggs, but he wasn't going to help them either.

Seldentar takes some time to eat lunch, giving some food to Shadow as well. He still had no idea where the coast was, but he was determined to find it. He got to his feet, looking around before shrugging his shoulders.

"Alright, cmon Shadow, lets keep looking."

With one last look towards the eggs, he begins to walk down the hill, heading in a random direction. After a few hours of walking around, he finds himself back at the Village. Cursing to himself, he looks around again. He had literally walked in a circle, and was no where closer to finding the shore. Finally, he decides to try something he should have done when he first got there. Walking up to one of the NPC Elves.

"Hello there, can you tell me where I can find the Sea Lions and the Shore?"

The elf looks at him puzzled.

"The shore? You just have to head east for about 20 minutes. Is there anything I can help you with?

Seldentar checks his map. He had headed north, and then around to the west. He shakes his head, saying no to the Elf, and heading to the eastern gate.

After walking for a bit, Seldentar reaches the coast line. Staring in awe, he wished that there was player housing on the lower floors. It was a beautiful place to have a small cottage. Shaking his head, he looked around. He was here for a reason, he needed to find the Sea Lions. He starts to walk the coastline, looking for the sealions that would supply him with Atlantean metal.

Seldentar walks the coast, taking in the sights. He knows he is there on a mission, but that doesn't change the fact that it was a beautiful place. Shadow walks behind him, jumping around in the water. He grinned as he watches the young fox playing. Days like this, it was so easy to forget this was a game, and not real life. He shakes his head, looking around again. He prepares himself to fight, but still sees no sea lions. He shrugs, taking a seat. It couldnt hurt to rest a minute after how long he has been looking for this place. Thats when he sees it, coming out of the water, one of the Sea Lions that was common in these areas. Jumping up, he calls for Shadow to join his side, even as the Sea Lion comes to the edge of the water. Seldentar draws his sword, rushing forward and jumping into the air as he triggers his skill . Stumbling, he splashes into the water missing the attack. Taking advantage of his blunder, the Sea Lion bites down on his leg.

Seldentar splashes around as he struggles to get up. He holds his hand out to motion for Shadow to stay back, not wanting him to get dragged under water. Instead, he takes a step back, and then jumps forward, swinging his sword down at the sea lion. The water messing with his ability to set up the motions properly, he can't seem to trigger the system assist for sword skills. Missing his attack, he is once again helpless to prevent the counter attack.

Seldentar spins around trying to figure out his new move. He backs out of the water, trying to figure out how to deal with the sea lion. He had wondered why such a rare drop would come off something on floor 3, but he was starting to understand, with the water physics engine messing with motion assist, triggering the sword skills in the water was difficult. Staring at the Sea Lion, his eyes begin to glow blue as he triggers his skill. Heightening his alertness and perception, he jumps forward at the sea lion, sword raised high. With a satisfying feeling, he sees his sword cut into the sea lion.

With the successful hit, Seldentar smiles, leaping backwards as he prepares to lure the sea lion out. It only comes partially out of the water, but that was enough for his counter. As it starts to move towards him, he lunges forward, just as they would reach each other, he thrusts his sword forward at the Sea Lion. As his foot hit the water soaked sand, he slips, giving the sea lion another attempt at bringing his HP down.

As Seldentar tries to get up, he sees Shadow rushing forward. Despite being told to stay back, it seemed the little fox wasnt ready to sit back and watch his master get killed. As Seldentar tries to get out of the water, Shadow attacks at the Sea Lion to distract it from its next attack against Seldentar. Its claws rake forward, but with the water splashing, he is unable to land a clean shot, and the Sea Lion knocks it back.

Seldentar rushes forward, scooping Shadow up out of the soaked sand area. Turning his back, he opens himself up to attack in order to buy Shadow time to recover from his injury, feeling the bite on his ankle, he releases shadow once he is recovered. He moves forward, before spinning around to face the Sea Lion. Sword raised, he jumps into the air, attempting his . With a satisfying thrill, he sees the skill successfully activate, and the system motion assist guides his attack down at the Sea Lion.

Seldentar jumps back after his attack, taking a moment to catch his breath. He watches as the Sea Lion fully leaves the water, chasing after him. He had seriously pissed off this creature obviously, and it was time he did something to finish this fight. Sword in hand, he decides to try his new skill. He hasnt tried it yet, but the Gemini had used it against him. As the Sea Lion comes into range, he brings his sword down at a diagonal angle, his triggering. His swing starting too early, the system assist brings his sword down before the sea lion reaches him, but it comes into range just as the second arc of the attack activates, cutting through the Sea Lion. In a sudden burst, it explodes into a shattering light, vanishing from sight.

Seldentar sits down in the sand, as the sea lion vanishes. He looks around, wondering about the rare metal it was supposed to drop. Hearing Shadow make a noise as it starts to scratch at something, he looks up to see a chest washing ashore in front of him. He chuckles, moving over to it and opening it.

1-4: The chest contains nothing.

5-8: The chest contains two materials.

9-13: The chest contains three materials.

14-17: The chest contains four materials

18-19: The chest contains five materials.

20: The chest contains eight materials.

He takes the ingots out of the chest, adding them to his inventory. Only then, did he realize that while he was fighting more Sea Lions had been gathering.

Two more Sea Lions had moved along the shore in each direction at the pair while he was busy focusing on the first. With a shake of his head, he looks down at Shadow.

"Alright pal, you take the one on the left, ill get the one on the right."

Seldentar rushes forward at one, while shadow takes off in the other direction at the one coming from the left. As Seldentar raises his sword at the new Sea Lion, he hears Shadow running full tilt at the third one behind him.

Seldentar shakes his head as he prepares his next attack. Behind him, Shadow was engaged in his own fight, and Seld couldnt focus on making sure he was ok and dealing with his own Sea Lion. He knew that Shadow could handle himself for now, and if it got too bad, he would teleport them both away, it would be such a waste of a Teleport Crystal, but he wasn't going to die on the coast on floor 3. His skill cooldown over, he activates his ability, leaping at the Sea Lion. It didn't seem to do him any good though, as his attack misses. Behind him, Shadow manages to land a solid shot on the Sea Lion he was fighting.
