[SP-F3] To hunt for Upgrade Materials - Complete

Recommended Posts

Seldentar, refusing to be beaten by some random trash mobs on the third floor, started to move towards it again. Jumping as high into the air as he could, he once again resorted to his attack, hoping the system motion detection would pick up on the activation and guide his attack. Behind him, Shadow was locked in combat with the other Sea Lion. As his sword skill activates, he feels the usual thrill of battle rush through him, as the ability soars him up, and then straight down at the Sea Lion.

Landing in front of the Sea Lion, he hoped to take advantage of the situation, and try another sword skill. With his Concentrate and Sonic Leap on cooldown, Seldentar brought his sword up at an angle high, as he went through the motions to activate his . With a scream, he lashes his sword down at an angle guided by the system assist. The blade cuts deep into the Sea Lion, then with a pull up, he slashes it again, the V symbol appearing in its body where the sword had cut into it. Behind him, he heard the other Sea Lion yelp in pain as Shadow landed another attack.

Seldentar jumped back for a moment, letting the sea lion prepare its own counter attack. He knew that for a few seconds after his skill he would be vulnerable, and sure enough it rushed forward, biting down on his arm. Growling in pain, he weighed his options. Shadow was still locked in combat, and all of his sword skills were on cooldown. He would have to continue the fight in a straight up battle, without the assistance of the system to land his hits. He slashes across at the sea lion in front of him, determined to put an end to this so he could go home. His attack missed, and he also noticed Shadows HP bar decline slightly as his own battle turned sour for a moment.

Seldentar had no choice but to keep fighting, using the sword fighting skills he had acquired in the real world. While that may have been pretend fighting, those skills were all that would save him now. As the Sea lion moved in for another biting attack, he thrust his sword forward at its face, not wanting to risk losing any more HP. His attack threw the Sea Lion off of its own path, but neither managed to harm the other. Behind him, Shadow continued to dig his claws and teeth into the other Sea Lion.

He continues his assault, jumping over the Sea Lion, trying to land behind it. As he lands, his plan of attack forms. Reckless yes, sloppy yes, uncoordinated, yes, but with the system learning his attack patterns with every attack, he had to change things up a bit. As he lands, he drops to a knee, and spins, his sword swinging with him as he uses the momentum of his swing to increase its speed as he swings around towards the Sea Lion. Spinning on wet sand proves more difficult a task then he had gathered, as his attack goes wide and misses horribly. From this angle, he can see Shadow leap at the other Sea Lion, biting deep into the monster.

Seldentar struggles to stand back up in the shifting wet sand. He grips his sword tightly, and watches as the Sea lion comes at him. He jumps back, landing a little sloppily, but avoiding its attack. He pushes off as hard as he can jumping forward with his sword held high, as he tries to bring it down on the sea lion. With a familiar shattering sound, he sees the Sea Lion in front of him die, and looks over to Shadow. Its teeth were buried in the Sea Lion, and was ripping at it with everything he had, with no intention of letting go.

Seldentar starts to walk forward, both his and Shadows HP were well above half, and he wanted to see if Shadow could finish the fight without him. He had been fighting the same amount of time, and without the benefit of his enhanced weaponry, was actually doing better in the fight then he was. Seldentar grinned at the little fox as it jumped back, baring its teeth at the Sea Lion. With a start, it jumps forward at it again. It rakes its claws against the Sea Lion, and its HP drops to the red, only a single HP left from the attack.

Seldentar lowered his sword. He wasn't worried about this fight by now, but was growing concerned that the Sea Lions might start respawning soon. As soon as Shadow finished the fight, they had to withdraw from the area. Not that they were in any real danger of dying, but Seld had a bad feeling about staying too long, and wanted to get back to the shop as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Shadow lunges forward at the Sea Lion again. Its teeth close on its neck, and in a powerful burst of light, the sea lion dies in a shattering pixelated explosion. Running over, I get Shadows attention with a whistle.

"Lets go boy, we gotta get back to town."

They turn, leaving the area behind, as the Sea Lions begin to respawn, returning to the water.
