Alec scratched the bear cub on the neck and behind its ears in a very genuine show of affection and solidarity. "Well my friend guess we'll have to start back over at square one." Alec said as he looked down and saw that all of the damage he'd suffered had healed out of combat. "Let's find another Boar to fight and see what we can do maybe you could try to heal me while I fight that is the goal after all so maybe that's why you trying to heal me after the fight didn't work. Sorry pal you'll have to have patience with me. I'm kind of a slow learner here, but I promise you I'll make you proud." Alec promised as he smiled at the bear cub conviction showing in his eyes. The bear cub growled something that seemed positive. Do Alec nodded again and stood up. Alec began to walk and Humphrey fell into easy step beside him. As they walked through the grasslands the dun shone down on them warming them from the bright rays. After s short time Alec heard the sounds of snuffling and snorting again. Another Boar was nearby. Sleeve looked to Humphrey and nodded in the direction if the noise. Humphrey nodded his ascent and looked at Alec as he gave a low growl if approval. With that Alec burst forth to face more Boars.

As Alec burst over the small hill he found himself facing two Boars and not one. That was fine it just might take longer but hopefully that would he and Humphrey time to figure out there training and make this work. As Alec hit the ground he summoned the energy that powered Sword Arts and felt it jump through him into his Mithril Axe. The mirror finished axe began to vibrate and glow softly as the energy coursed through Alec and into the axe as the energy reached its peak Alec swung his axe in a wide arc and unleashed Crescent Thrush at the two Boars standing there.

As Alec landed he swung his Mithril Battle Axe around in a wide arc that sent an line if glowing energy in a wide arc that swept out and struck both Boars in the chest and opened a wide gash on both Boars chests that jetted red pixels from them. The first Boar leaped at Alec and he twisted his shield deflecting the first Boar away from him harmlessly to the side. The second Boar began to charge and stumbled tripping over its own hooves to tumble and summer sault at Alec. Alec dropped his shield shoulder and brought his shield up in a back hand uppercut that struck the Boar and lifted up off the ground. As Alec's shield lifted the second Boar it began a deep hum that built until CRACK it zapped the second Boar with a large arc of static electricity that caused the Boars muscles to seize and paralyze the Boar as it flew through the air to land in a convulsing pile on the ground. Alec brought his shield back up and readied his axe for his next swing.

As Alec landed beside the Boars he called on the energy to perform a Sword Art and unleashed Crescent Thrush striking both Boars with a wide arc of energy that damaged both Boars. The first Boar charged at Alec but he brought his shield up and angled it to the side deflecting the Boars charge harmlessly away from him. The second Boar tripped and fell while charging and Alec scooped it up on his shield which arced a large charge of static electricity causing the second Boar to seize up and be paralyzed. The first Boar turned back at Alec charged again. Alec brought his shield back in front of him and readied himself for the charging Boar bringing his Mithril Battle Axe for a swing at the advancing Boar.

The first Boar finished turning and charged back at Alec. Alec brought his shield up to defend himself. As the Boar approached Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe around but the Boar ducked at the last moment and Alec's swing went high and passed over the top of the Boar. As the Boar neared Alec twisted his body and shield to present an angled plane and the Boar slid harmlessly past Alec and continued on before it turned around again. The second Boar lay on the ground twitching and convulsing Paralyzed. As the Boar regained its motor skills it stood up still twitching slightly and also charged back at Alec who raised his Shield and Axe and waited for them to come.

The Boar turned and began a new charge at Alec. As the Boar neared, Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe around and missed swinging harmlessly wide and missing the Boar completely. As the Boar approached Alec twisted his body slightly and angled his shield causing the Boar to glance harmlessly off his shield. The Boar was redirected and passed beyond Alec being forced to make another wide turn to position himself back in position to charge again. The second Boar lay on the ground twitching and convulsing paralyzed from the arc of static electricity. As the Boar regained control of its muscles it got to its feet and began charging at Alec as well. Alec raised his shield and axe and readied to strike at the charging Boars. When the Boars came into range Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe down at the lead Boar and prepared his shield to defend against their tusks.

As the Boars charged in Alec swung his Mithril Axe at the leading Boar but missed and his swing went wide. The lead Boar charged in and as Alec missed he overturned his body and presented his side to the Boar who dove in and slammed his tusks into Alec's side and opened a small hole there that leaked out red pixels. The second Boar followed the first and though Alec's overswing left him out of position to block the lead Boar he was in position to block the second Boars charge with his shield. The Boars made another wide turn and came back at him for another pass. Alec readied his shield and axe for the Boars charge.

The Boars charged in at Alec again and as the leading Boar came within range of Alec he swung his Mithril Axe down at the first Boar at a downward angle but Alec misjudged the Boars speed and his swing went over and beyond the leading Boar causing him to overextend and present his unprotected side to the charging Boar. The Boar dove in and sunk its tusks into Alec’s side and opened a small puncture in Alec’s ribs. Alec’s over extension placed his shield in front of the second Boar however and he was able to block the Boars charge with his shield and divert it away from him harmlessly.  The Boars continued past Alec and turned passing in front of him and charging again. As the Boars neared Alec summoned the energy to power a Sword Art Alec felt the energy jump readily through him and into his MIthril Axe. The axe began to vibrate and glow till to nearly shook with the pent up energy and the head flared brightly. Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe in a wide arc directed at the two Boars as they neared unleashing the energy in Crescent Thrush.

As the Boars charged in Alec summoned the energy to power a Sword Art. As the Boars came in Alec swung his Mithril Axe in a wide arc and swung his Mithril Axe in a wide arc and released the energy in Crescent Thrush causing an arc of energy to spread from his axe and streak towards the two rushing Boars. The arc struck both Boars in the chest and opened a large cut in both Boars chest that jetted out red pixels. The first Boar took the blow in the chest and caused it to trip and fall tumbling and spinning in a uncontrolled roll stopping at Alec's feet. The second Boar took the hit but kept coming it threw itself at Alec against his shield searching for a gap in Alec's defenses. Finally managing to worm its way inside Alec's shield and jabbed a tusk in Alec's leg opening a small hole there. As the Boar contacted Alec's shield it began to build a hum until SNAP it arced and jolted the second Boar with a burst of static electricity that sent a painful shock into the Boar causing it to squeal and retreat back.

As the Boars charged in at Alec he reached out and summoned the energy to empower a Sword Art. He felt the energy course through him and into his axe. His axe began to vibrate and glow till it reached an almost uncontrolled level. When Alec couldn’t hold any more the swung his Mithril Axe in a wide arc and released the energy in a wide arc the swept towards the two charging Boars and struck both of them in the chest opening large slices there that jetted red pixels. The leading Boar was hit so hard it knocked the Boars legs out from under it and caused it tumble and roll uncontrollably right up to Alec’s feet where its momentum finally came to a stop. The second Boar took the hit and stumbled but kept coming at Alec. Alec met the second Boars charge and caught it with his shield. The Boar thrashed and twisted trying to get past Alec’s shield finally finding a gap and striking Alec causing a small amount of red pixels to escape Alec. As the Boar thrashed against Alec’s shield his shield began to hum and then SNAP it arced and jolted the Boar with a shock of static electricity causing it to squeal and dash away from Alec to gain some distance. As the first Boar stood up Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe down at the Boar and the Boar jammed its tusks at Alec from right in front of him. The second Boar began charging at Alec again as he set his shield and prepared for the charging Boar. After the Boars attack looked over and Humphrey and called out "Now my friend try and send healing energy to me and heal my wounds." Humphrey growled in ascent and stared intently at Alec pushing the healing energies swirling around inside him into his friend Alec.

As the first Boar stood up at Alec's feet he brought his Mithril Axe straight down from over his head and struck the Boar in the back opening a large wound there that shot out red pixels. The Boar slammed its tusks up and since it was already at Alec's feet it was already inside Alec's shield and caught Alec in the leg with its tusk opening a small cut there. The second Boar charged in and slammed its body against Alec's shield thrusting its tusks into Alec's arm opening a small hole there. Alec's shield began to hum as the Boar pressed against it the shield began to hum and then SNAP it arced into the Boar causing the Boar to waver and shake till it exploded in a shower of red pixels. Alec looked over to Humphrey calling out to him asking for aid. The bear cub growled its ascent and focused on Alec willing healing energy into Alec but nothing happened.

The first Boar stood up at the feet of Alec and took advantage of the nearness to the giant man. As it stood up Alex raised his Mithril Battle Axe high over his head and swung it straight down into the Boar as it climbed to its feet. The axe sank deeply into the Boar and opened a large cut in its side that vented a large amount of red pixels into the air. The Boar responded to the attack and thrust its tusks upward and buried them in Alec’s leg opening a small hole there that trickled red pixels out of it. The second Boar used the distraction of the first to charge in at Alec. The Boar slammed its body into Alec and his shield. Twisting and turning trying find a gap in Alec’s defenses. After some time thrashing around the Boar managed to get inside Alec’s shield and opened a cut on Alec that lost a tiny amount of red pixels from it. While it was contacting Alec’s shield it began to hum and a static charge built until SNAP it released into the Boar shocking it with electricity causing the Boar to shimmer and waver until it exploded it a shower of red pixels. With the second Boar destroyed Alec turned all of his attention on the lone remaining Boar, raising his shield and axe into a ready position and motioning the Boar to charge Alec raised his axe high over his head as the Boar charged at him Alec swung his axe down at the charging Boar.

The Boar charged in and ducked under Alec's shield and jammed its tusk into Alec's side and opened a small cut there that leaked out more of the red pixels that were Alec's hit points. The Boar stayed in close to Alec and thrashed its head around trying to find another gap in Alec's defenses again as Alec moved his shield down to block the Boar's tusks and raised his axe high and brought it down at the Boars back.

As the Boar charged in at Alec again Alec raised his axe high over his head he brought it down lightning fast and buried it deeply into the Boar’s back as it came within range. The mirror reflective axe sunk its head into the Boars back and opened a large cut in its back that shot out red pixels from the open cut in its back. As Alec pulled his axe from the back of the Boar it ducked under Alec’s shield and caught Alec with its tusk opening another small wound in Alec that lost another small amount of red pixels and caused Alec’s hit point bar to drop another point. Instead of falling back like it had before the Boar chose to stay in close to Alec and thrust its tusks at Alec and tried to thrust its tusks into Alec again. Alec brought his Mithril Axe up into the air and brought it speedily down at the Boar again.

After the Boars last attack it stayed in close to Alec and thrust his tusks up at Alec. Alec brought his Mithril Axe up high and brought it down lightning fast sinking it deeply into the Boars back and opening another deep gash there that shot out red pixels into the air. As Alec slammed his axe into the Boar Alec's shield began its deep humming which built strongly until CRACK his shield surged and blasted the Boar with a huge charge of static electricity that caused the Boar to freeze and begin twitching its muscles contracting and spasming its whole body paralyzed. As the Boar lay at Alec's feet convulsing and paralyzed Alec brought his Mithril Axe up high as he summoned the energy that powered Sword Arts and felt the energy leap through him into his MIthril Axe causing it begin vibrating and the mirror shiny axe head begin to glow the energy built and in response the vibrations increased and the axe head began to glow brightly till they reached an apex upon which Alec swung his axe down and unleashed the energy in Hack.

The Boar thrashed its tusks as it stayed next to Alec attempting to get under his shield. Alec brought his Mithril Battle Axe high and swung it down with a mighty burst of power and buried the mirror like axe head deep into the Boar. A large cut opened in it's body that shot out a large amount of red pixels. As the Boar continued to thrash against Alec's shield it began to make a deep humming sound Alec had grown accustomed to. The hum built until CRACK the shield arced a bolt of static electricity into the Boat causing its muscles to seize and contract as the Boar fell over on its side twitching and convulsing completely paralyzed. As the Boat lay at Alec's feet writhing and twitching Alec raised his Mithril Axe up toward the sky and drew through him the energy for a Sword Art. The energy flooded through Alec and into his Mithril Battle Axe as it began to vibrate and glow. Both phenomenon grew until the axe visibly vibrated in Alec's grasp and the mirror shined axe head let off a palpable glow. When both had reached their apex Alec swung the axe down with all his might at the prone and paralyzed Boar.

Alec raised his Mithril Battle Axe to the sky and drew in the energy that powered Sword Arts and felt the energy course through him and into his axe. The mirror shiny axe began to vibrate and glow till both reached a climax then Alec brought his charged Mithril Battle Axe down in a pair of diagonal strikes that left a glowing X in the air. The X hung there for a moment before slamming into the Boar and opening a throbbing angry red X in the Boar's chest that vented red pixels as the Boars health bar dropped to zero and the Boars body began to shake violently until it exploded in a Cascade if red pixels that rained down and disappeared.

Alec raised his Mithril Battle Axe to the sky as he summoned the energy that powered Sword Arts and brought the energy into himself and it flowed through him and into his Mithril Battle Axe and as the energy reached a fevered pitch Alec swung his axe in a double diagonal swing that left a bright glowing X floating in the air between himself and the last remaining Boar. The X surged into the Boar and left a bright red X emblazoned on the Boars chest that exploded with red pixels into the air. The Boar began to shimmer and waver before it too followed suit and exploded into a shower of red pixels that rained down and then disappeared into nothing. Alec breathed a sigh as the Boar disappeared into nothing. The fight had been rather lack luster to him. Maybe he was outgrowing the first floor. Alec promised he would begin looking to the second floor as soon as he managed to train Humphrey to function as a Healer Familiar.

Alec looked to Humphrey as his fight with the Boars ended and he walked over to the bear cub and knelt down in front of him. He reached out and began to scratch the bear cub on the back of the neck and behind his ears. “ This isn’t working.” Alec said to the bear cub in his deep rumbling baritone voice as he continued to scratch the bear cub on the neck and behind the ears. “ What do you think?” Alec asked the bear cub. “ My plan hasn’t been working out so I’ll take advise and give any idea you have a chance since mine hasn’t been going so well.” Alec asked as looked to the young bear. The young bear growled a low rumbling growl as it looked at Alec and then glanced toward the forest. “You know. You’re probably right.” Alec responded. “Our life together started out with Wolves so why wouldn’t it continue with them.” Alec replied to the bear cub. "Let's go find some Wolves and teach who's the boss." Alec stated firmly.

Alec looked to Humphrey with a sly grin on his face. “You think you can keep up?” he asked the bear cub as he placed his Mithril Battle Axe in its loop at his hip and took off at a jog towards the forest where he and the bear cub had first met. Alec’s pace was long and strong as he stretched his tree trunk like legs out and set a strong solid pace. The bear cub stood up and put on a burst of speed and quickly caught up to Alec and his even stride. The pair loped through the prairie at a strong even pace till they arrived at the edge of the forest where they stopped the jog and looked at each other a happy smile on both their faces. Their breathing was heavy but even and under control as they smiled and looked around at their surroundings. The interior of the forest was shaded and dim compared to the bright sun light grassland behind them. Alec eased his Mithril Battle Axe from its loop at his hip and began walking into the forest in search of Wolves to fight.

Alec made his way into the forest hunting Wolves to fight so he could try and get the chance to train his new familiar Humphrey an American bear cub in the path of healing. Alec had intentions of joining the Front Line Raid Team as a Tank and support Healer. To do that he need to train Humphrey to heal him so that he could focus his attention on taunting the Boss and sending healing energy out to lift the rest of the Raid party up. As Alec crept forward he was so focused on finding a Wolf or other animal to fight that Alec didn’t see the hole in the ground covered by a thin layer of underbrush. As Alec stepped his forward his foot slipped deep into the hole up nearly his knee. As his foot slipped down into the hole Alec felt himself begin to fall but as he started to toppled he realized this was going to hurt as his foot was securely lodged in the hole. Alec toppled over and felt a searing stab of pain in his knee followed by a oud pop as he fell. Alec crashed to the forest floor he slammed into the dirt and let out a howl of pain as he looked down to his his knee he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he had dislocated his knee. Alec groaned in pain as he coiled up holding his knee in pain. As Alec lay there holding his knee and wondering what he was going to do next when Humphrey lumbered up to Alec and began nuzzling him and urged healing energy into Alec to try and repair his injured knee.

Humphrey was out in the plains with the big man Alec as Alec was looking for creatures to fight. The big mam wanted him to learn to heal him so that they could travel and adventure together. Alec had told him not to help him fight any of the creatures only to stay back and try to heal him when he was done. Humphrey watched as the big man fought several Boars. The big man was an adequate fighter. He was definitely able to take a hit that was for sure. Humphrey wasn’t sure how much the big man would need him since each hit that the Boars landed did little more than scratch or make small holes in him. But he seemed to have trouble actually dealing out damage unless it was from when one of the Boars hit him and the shell that Alec carried would hum and then SNAP causing the hair on Humphrey’s body to stand on end slightly like when the skies clouded and the clouds would open up and light the sky with the sky bolts. His shell was a very formidable shell Humphrey thought to himself as he watched Alec fight the Boars. When Alec had finished fighting the Boars he had asked Humphrey to try and heal him. Humphrey had padded forward and tried licking at Alec’s wounds but it had not worked at all. Humphrey felt frustrated with himself he was supposed to help the big man and he hadn’t been able to. If he couldn’t help Alec then he wouldn’t be able to travel with him and Humphrey very much wanted to help Alec out!!

As the pair walked through the forest looking for a different creature for Alec to fight. Alec had said their journey had begun in the forest and that’s where it should proceed to the next level and Humphrey agreed with the big man on that very much! Here in the forest the big man had found Humphrey and saved him from the pair of ravenous Wolves who had tried to rip him apart. He owed his life to the big man for saving him from the Wolves and he cared for the big man very much because the big man had saved him. He wanted to help protect the big man and keep him alive as Alec had done for him. Humphrey had followed the big man across the grasslands and into the forest. As they walked the big man moved slowly in search of any creatures lurking near by. Humphrey could have told him there was non nearby but the big man never asked him. As the moved along the big man stepped into a well hidden hole and toppled over. As he fell Humphrey heard a loud pop come from the big mans knee. Alec fell heavily to the ground with a heavy thud. Concern exploded inside Humphrey and he rushed forward care and worry flooding through him. He lumbered up to Alec and began to nuzzle him wishing for the big man to feel better and not be in pain any more. As Humphrey nuzzled Alec care and worry flooding in him and spilling over into the big man. A warm comforting tingle grew within Humphrey and flooded into Alec wash washing over and through him. Humphrey felt a nearly overwhelming sense of pride and happiness at having helped Alec as the big man moved his leg around a genuine smile of happiness spread across his face as he looked over at Humphrey which caused Humphrey to smile and rumble in return.

Alec had fallen into a gopher hole or something similar and as he fell to the ground he felt his knee pop out of socket and become get dislocated. It hurt like a mother and Alec gritted his teeth and grunted as hit the ground groaning in pain and curled up pulling his knee to his chest groaning in pain. As he lay there thinking how stupid he was for not seeing the gopher hole Humphrey rushed up and began to nuzzle Alec in the side around his rib cage. As the bear cub dug its muzzle into Alec’s ribs Alec suddenly felt a flood of tingling warmth course through his body and set his bones and muscles to tingle with warmth but the sensation grew even more pronounced the area of Alec’s dislocated knee. After only a few seconds the sensation receded and left Alec feeling a tingling after glow of warmth in his body. As the warmth slowly drifted out of Alec’s body it lingered in his knee a moment or two longer before fully fading away. As the feeling left his body Alec flexed his knee in shock and awe as he looked over the Humphrey a broad smile spreading across his face. “You did it Humphrey! All it took was me falling in a hole! I’m proud of you buddy!” Alec said with joy filling his voice as he stood up and tested out his knee finding it felt as if nothing at all had just happened.

With Alec’s knee feeling as good as new, if not better, Alec smiled at Humphrey in genuine care and thanks and reached down and rubbed Humphrey on the back of his neck and behind the ears. Alec resumed his walk through the forest searching for any creatures that he could fight. He needed to be hurt to try and help Humphrey train on his healing. Alec knew there was a quick and easy way to do that but Alec refused to do that he knew non of this was real but there were things you just didn’t in either a real or fake world. Alec would not cut himself and expect Humphrey to heal him it was fundamentally anathema to what Alec believed and he wouldn’t compromise his ideals even if non of this was real. So Alec walked along and searched for some more creatures to fight. As he walked along he was nearly caught off guard when a Wolf dove out of the underbrush lunging for Alec’s throat. Alec whipped his shield up to defend himself and caught the Wolf with his Shield of the Thunderhearts the shield began to hum and SNAPed as it jolted the Wolf. The Wolf was thrown free as Alec hefted his shield and vaulted the Wolf away but not before the Wolf tore a chunk out of Alec’s shoulder.

The Wolf growled angrily at Alec as it regained its feet and dove back at Alec it teeth snapping and its jaws slinging saliva as it dove through the air. Alec brought his shield up in front of himself and used it to block the Wolf’s attack. As the Wolf snapped and bit against Alec’s shield Alec raised his Mithril Battle Axe up and swung it down chopping a large chunk out of the Wolf’s side that vented red pixels into the air. The Wolf jumped back gaining some distance from Alec and then raced in low to the ground trying race under Alec’s shield. As the Wolf came in Alec lowered his shield but the Wolf skirted by and took a bite at Alec’s leg tearing a chunk out of it as Alec swung his axe down missing the Wolf as it raced by. The Wolf streaked past Alec and turned around and raced back in lunging high again at Alec’s back. Alec spun around and barely managed to get his shield in the way deflecting the Wolf away but not before the Wolf’s claws opened a slash on Alec’s shoulder. As the Wolf landed Alec swung his axe out wide and took the Wolf in the ribs opening an large cut there that shot red pixels out of it and caused the Wolf’s health bar to drop and change from green to yellow.

The Wolf hit the ground and instantly dove back at Alec aiming its gnashing teeth for Alec’s side. Alec  brought his shield down and thrust it in between himself and the Wolf blocking the Wolf and its razor sharp teeth from Alec’s flesh. The Wolf thrashed and writhed against Alec’s shield snapping and biting at Alec searching for any soft spot it could sink its teeth into. Alec swung his axe up over the top of his shield sinking his mirror shiny axe head into the Wolf and opening another cut in the Wolf which vented more red pixels into the air. The Wolf continued to snap and bite before finally sinking its teeth into Alec’s shoulder and tearing a chunk free leaving an open wound that shot red pixels from it. As Alec held the Wolf at bay with his shield he looked over his shoulder at Humphrey who was standing behind him watching the whole scenario play out and said “Ok Humphrey give it a try buddy see if you can heal me again. I know you can do it pal you have the power within you!” Alec instructed the bear cub in his deep rumbling baritone filling his voice with confidence that he tried to instill and fill his companion with. Humphrey took on a look of concentration and walked up behind Alec and began nuzzling his back and side. Calling forth the warm tingling healing energies that were stored up within its body and willing them into his friend and companion Alec.

Humphrey walked up behind Alec and began to nuzzle his back and side in response to the big man asking him to try and heal him. Humphrey called on the warm tingling healing energies that were stored within his body. As Humphrey summoned the warm energies that ran through his body he tried to direct them into his friend and companion Alec. The warmth swelled up within him but as Humphrey tried to direct those energies into Alec as he had done before but this time they seemed to hit a wall and circled back into him and refused to spread into Alec. Humphrey let out a loud gravelly growl off frustration at his failure and inability to help his friend who was obviously in pain and needed his help. It was his job, his mission, his role to help his friend and heal him when he needed and Humphrey had failed in his task and it frustrated him beyond all other thought.
