However, as luck would ordain for him he manages to pull out a treasure chest from the confines of the earthen ground below him as the bronze colored chest is pulled out with rather significant difficulty he just looks at the thing with a grin upon his face. Well then seems luck is with me this fine day. He chuckles to himself as he opens up his inventory after having slide his finger along the air and selected the inventory option as he begins to search for one of the various keys he has from his shop so that he can get things going for himself. As Alec stood he brought his shield up in front of himself to defend against the two remaining Wasps. Alec stood again looking over the saw bladed edge of his shield while he held his axe by his side ready to swing. As the Wasps moved forward to attack Alec raised his battle axe up over his shoulder and swung down at the leading Wasp knocking his hit points down as he pulled his axe through the end if his swing the serrated edge if his axe ripped the wound open leaving a jagged open wound in its wake that caused the Wasp to explode in a shower of yellow and black pixels. The last Wasp dove in with its stinger leading the way. Alec raised his shield but the stinger slid past his shield and pierced his arm leaving a tiny hole that caused his Battle Healing to kick in and heal the wound instantly. Dagger 0 Posted July 9, 2019 Author #23 Report Share Posted July 9, 2019 (edited) Getting down onto one knee he gets to work opening up the chest with some skilled work as he opens up the item in question and then grins at seeing the loot as that should catch him up on mats quite well, and on top of that some unidentified gear for him to get identified at his shop if he can get a bit lucky with what these are he might just put them out to sell for people to buy. Pocketing the loot he makes a mental note to send Alec the money that way he can go do what needs to be done for himself. With that he gets up from the ground with a satisfied smile upon his face since his luck seems to be with him today in a rather successful manner as he takes that and runs with it as much as he can for finding more materials for him to profit off of. 'Having Alec around is rather a good thing. Though quests will only get harder as we progress. Alec peered over the saw bladed edge of his shield with his battle axe held loose and ready at his side. As the Wasp darted in Alec drew his battle axe up over his shoulder and swung down missing the Wasp as it darted to the side away from the devastating serrated edge of the large man's battle axe. The Wasp recovered and thrust its stinger forward at the big man as it glanced off his heavy armor shoulder guards to pierce his large bicep with a tiny hole that his Battle Healing instantly sealed as if it had never occurred. Alec swung his saw bladed shield up above his head tearing into the last Wasp and causing it to shake and shudder before exploding into a shower of yellow and black pixels that rained down before disappearing completely. Dagger 0 Posted July 10, 2019 Author #25 Report Share Posted July 10, 2019 (edited) Looking over through the area around himself he finds no more chests, or no more mats to add to his collection as he just nods his head accepting that as his reality as he goes to just sit down and take a small rest as he hears the latest shatter of another mob dying by the large tank player as he watches him. The player seemingly still ready to fight more mobs, and from the fact his quest still says there is something to do here that the mob that he is supposed to fight hasn't been killed yet, or hasn't spawned yet either. Nodding his head at this fate he waits patiently watching as their are still large amounts of mobs floating about in the area meaning that their still needs to be time to end them all one by one or as groups. 'Maybe that is how it is, or maybe the queen is mixed in with the lower weaker ones around it. Alec nodded as he began to turn around already knowing what that sound was. The Wasp Queen had spawned and it was time to fight. Alec gritted his teeth as he raised his shield up in front if himself and fully faced to oversized insect hovering before him. Alec reached out and channeled the energy of a Sword Art into his battle axe causing it to begin to vibrate and glow as lightning began to crackle around the weapon and spark off the serrated axe head. Once the energy had reached its peak Alec swung his power infused battle axe down slamming it into the Wasp Queen as the Sword Art activated and lightning surged from Alec's battle axe into the Wasp Queen decimating here hit points and dropping her health bar into the red with one strike. The Wasp Queen lashed out with her stinger which Alec quickly and easily blocked away with his shield as he readied himself for another attack. Dagger 0 Posted July 10, 2019 Author #27 Report Share Posted July 10, 2019 (edited) Glancing around the spot that he is sitting down upon he just nods his head seeing that their is rather nothing around him which is to be assumed mostly it's not like anything would just magically appear around him because he had willed it to do so. Which just leaves him watching the end of the fight between the rather large wasp and alec which is more so just a one sided joke for the most part as the tank is basically unscathed from all of his fighting leaving himself just to do the only thing reasonable. Getting up to his feet he starts to make his way towards alec being rather careful about not getting caught in any crosshairs of the fight by just walking slowly and taking his time. Alec 0 Posted July 10, 2019 #28 Report Share Posted July 10, 2019 (edited) Alec stood staring down the Wasp Queen over the saw bladed edge of shield as he tightly gripped his battle axe which hung loosely by his side as he waited for the Wasp Queen to make her move and close the distance. As the giant insect began to flit towards the large man Alec whipped his battle axe up over his shoulder and she drew into range he swung down timing his swing perfectly as it buried itself deep into her carapace. As Alec pulled his battle axe through the tail end of his swing the serrated edge tore savagely into the Wasp Queen creating a horrendous rent into her body which gushed yellow and black pixels that spewed forth uncontrollably as she began to shake and twitch till she exploded in a shower of yellow and black pixels which rained down and disappeared into nothing as the large man straightened up and lowered his arms to his sides having completed the fight and defeated the Queen. Dagger 0 Posted July 10, 2019 Author #29 Report Share Posted July 10, 2019 (edited) With the fall of the queen having taken place he just grins to himself as the fight is over as he makes his way towards his partner in these quests with a grin upon his face as the quest notifies him that it has been completed for both of them as the drop enters into their inventory. Gazing at the item he sees that it is a damage buff as he just nods his head accepting that as he then turns his head to look towards alec giving a simple and quick nod towards the man with a grin upon his face. That is another quest down my good sir, and with that i think hat means it is time to move up towards floor four to brave the frozen tundra to see if a creature called avalanche can die next. He says towards the tank in a calm tone of voice telling him the plan of what he at least has in mind for something to do as he mentally checks this floor off for not having anything. #118506 LD:13+6=19 one mat found Edited July 10, 2019 by Dagger Link to post Share on other sites

"Sounds good to me." Alec replies in his deep baritone rumble. "I like the Fourth Floor. So much so that I built a house there. It's a small cabin in one of the far corners of the floor. It's very remote and rustic, which is just how I like it. I'm planning on opening a Blacksmith Forge there as well. Maybe you should stop by and say hello some time when you're there. But for now fighting Avalanche again sounds just fine. That quest is a lot like this one. You have to farm the smaller elementals before the big boy comes out to play." Alec explains as that beginning of a grin breaks through his perpetual scowl and becomes a full blown smile which he flashes at Dagger as he begins to walk away from the Wind Wasp field and starts heading towards home or at least the main settlement on this floor.
