Alec 0 Posted June 25, 2019 Author #21 Report Share Posted June 25, 2019 (edited) The tiger made of fire but Alec again taking another caughterized chunk of flesh out of his side as it landed yet another critical hit on the large man fighting it. This fight was still firmly in Alec's control but his opponent was starting to make it a real fight. The thought brightened the predatory gleam in Alec's eyes and broadened the faint smile cracking the corners of his perpetual scowl into a full grown baring of his teeth in a feral grin. Alec held his shield before him and his battle axe to his side ready for the fiery tiger Byakko to make its move. As the creature burst into motion Alec hoisted his Axe of Rending up over his shoulder and as his opponent closed the distance Alec swung down. Byakko's hardened hide resisted all but the tiniest of scratches from Alec's battle axe however when Alec pulled the serrated head of his battle axe through the ending of his swing the serrated axe head tore a viscous gaping wound in the fiery tiger's hide leaving a horrendous rent in its body. As Byakko continued its lunge it snapped and bit at Alec's heavy armor leaving it a tiny scratch that caused Alec's Battle Healing to kick in and repair along with some his earlier residual damage, as Alec dropped into a spin and drug the saw blade of his shield across the tigers midsection ripping the beast in half and causing it to shake and waver before exploding in a shower of red pixels and fire flecks before disappearing completely as Alec stood up with a deep calming breath. Alec 0 Posted June 26, 2019 Author #22 Report Share Posted June 26, 2019 As the fiery tiger Byakko exploded into a shower of red pixels and tiny streamers of fire Alec stood up and took a deep calming breath as he lowered his hands to his sides and looked around he had destroyed the beast that was plaguing the jungles of the Sixth Floor and achieved victory over his foe, but as Alec looked around nothing had changed. It was unlikely that anything would he just hadn't been sure of it either. Alec nodded to himself and again as he glanced over to his friend and faithful companion Humphrey. "Thanks pal." Alec stated with a relieved sigh. "You had my back when I needed it and I thank you." he said as he reached out and scratched the American black bear cub behind the ears and on the nap of his neck receiving a pleased growl from the young bear cub. Next Alec reached out and quickly swapped his Axe of Rending for his Luck Stone in his Battle Ready Items list as he began to move about the charred clearing searching. Alec 0 Posted June 26, 2019 Author #23 Report Share Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) As Alec began searching the burned out and charred area claimed by the fiery tiger like creature Byakko Alec slowly rolled his Luck Stone around in his hand as he systematically and thoroughly searched the area ravaged by Byakko and his fiery presence. Alec travelled around the area marked as Byakko's lair poking and prodding everything he could find. Alec walked back and forth searching as if looking for forensic clues at a crime scene. The whole time Alec searched the area for a Treasure Chest or something else of equal value he slowly rolled his small Luck Stone around in the grip of his hand. After what felt like a long enough time Alec stopped searching and looked over to his friend and companion Humphrey. "Well pal. It doesn't look like anything was hidden here." Alec announced with a shrug to to his companion and friend Humphrey as he turned and left the burned and charred area and headed back to the main village of Krycim.
