Real name: Asmund Thorsten
Age: 22 - 24
Gender: Male
Height: 6’6”

About: History/personality
Asmund was born in the US, but his parents had moved there from Norway. He was always talked about and would even sometimes be made fun of for talking weird, but he never minded. They couldn’t do anything to him but talk, he was ready for anything else. His height and build were always intimidating in the real world, and he would always have to tell people he wasn’t going to hurt them. His gentle nature was only on the surface however, the man would get into fights with his friends and he would lose control.

Eventually he found an old story book of his dad’s. The book told stories of great warriors sailing the seas for months at a time just to get food or land, and they always fought and won that food. Their tactics weren’t fair, but they were effective and that’s what matters in a fight.

Eventually Asmund heard about the game of swords, and he was so happy. It had pvp, it had lands far and wide and it had no magic. He was already out of school and doing research to become a historian in college, but he had decided to go to japan to purchase Sword Art Online. He thought maybe having it would make those long nights of studying easier. Or so he thought, he ended up getting stuck in a game where he could die, but he could also kill, and pillage like his family before him.
Virtues:

Loyal: A man should live and die by his word, and should fight for his friends and family. That’s how Asmund always lived, ever since he was a boy. His hands would always be bruised from protecting a friend, and he would keep a promise no matter how hard it was to keep.

Fearless: He would trust the path of his ancestors, so much that he would walk headfirst into death and not blink. He was known for taking risks and coming out unfazed, because he never feared death. He would rather end up in Valhalla because he died fighting than live in a world where fighting is wrong.

Strong-willed: There’s not much you can do to keep Asmund from doing what he wants. Rules, morals, and laws go by the wayside when he has his mind set on something. His life so far has been lived to honor his family, and his ancestors, and they cared more about never giving up than living life the proper way.

Flaws:

Audacious: Being bold and fearless can be both good and bad, in Asmunds case, it’s bad. His Audacity has been known to cause problems, and his mouth has no filter to keep that audacity hidden. He had never cared about anyone else outside of his family for a long time, so he never cared what they think, that’s a dangerous way to live.

Unpredictable: Asmund has always been somewhat of an unknown variable. Nothing he does is ordinary or uniform, because he has always tried to be himself. In fights he tries to keep the enemy on their toes and move so they have no idea what he’s gonna do next, and in life he does the same. Keeping him in check is an ordeal at the least.

Idealist: Asmund wants to live like his ancestors, that includes what they wore, how they fought and the weapons they used. His ideals are unconventional in their own right, but his methods of reaching them put him in danger as well. A plan to live like a true viking is all he needs in this world, and he would rather live like that than a sheep following the herd.

Profession: (Leave blank until the Earning a Living quest has been completed.)
