backstory//
Warren didn't have it easy growing up. He had trouble paying attention in his classes, difficulty retaining information on things that he didn't have a keen interest in. At that time, it was chalked up to laziness. Or boys being boys. It had been beaten into him - more than a few times - that his struggles were his fault. If he paid attention more, if he listened more closely, he would just get it. But he never did. He just failed upward. No child left behind and all of that. Nothing ever really crystallized for him.

That was until, he found the right teacher in the right subject at the right time.

Warren found that he had a knack for chemistry. If he related everything else to it, everything else sorta clicked. Math, reading. Even history. He'd found the trick and, finally, had begun to thrive. His instructor instilled the passion and provided the support that Warren had so desperately been missing. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late. His past academic performance and his parents' low income made higher education a non-starter. Not that his father would ever waste a dime on his dumbass son anyway.

So, upon reaching adulthood and with no other option, he took the only option available to him - the military. The strict routine and hard-knocks training worked well for him. It was more of the same, really. Only the military didn't discriminate. If you showed promise, they'd give you a shot. And his love of chemistry manifested in his career as an explosives specialist. Deployed to combat zones, he was in charge of handling all things chemical and explosive. Sword Art Online came out when he was home on leave.

The rest, as they say, is history.

personality//

Warren is a quiet man. He prefers to keep to himself, maintain his shop, and do little else. Thanks to his military background, he sees routine as paramount and tardiness to be a sin worse than the original. He would rather open a vein than be late. Though, unbeknownst to most, Warren is possessed of a legendary knife-hand and a very large boot with which to shove up some unfortunate soul's ass. It's just ironic that the explosives specialist has a very, very long fuse.

Virtues
Stoic - Warren doesn't speak much. He much prefers to sit back and observe a situation. Because of this, he can provide big picture insight on a problem. That being said, he often doesn't verbalize his observations and instead prefers to deal with the problem himself.

Analytical - Due to his inherent difficulty with emotions, Warren's mind has compensated by being able to deftly analyze a situation with little difficulty. Without feelings mucking up his judgement, he can find the most efficient way to deal with something and execute it with near perfection. This can put him at odds with people sometimes. After all, the most efficient method is sometimes not the most moral one.

Calm - Warren is absolutely unflappable. It takes quite a bit to get under his skin. He can keep his cool even in the most daunting of circumstances. Someone could be in in his face, screaming bloody murder at him and he wouldn't bat an eye.

Flaws
Cold - Warren doesn't deal with emotional connections very well. It's rare to see him express any type of emotion. While this can be a good thing - like rarely getting angry - it's mostly an issue. After all, who wants to hang around someone who can count the times he's smiled on one hand?

Oblivious - Warren just doesn't notice anything going on in the background. He also doesn't notice when his actions cause tension in people. He does what he does with absolutely no concern for other people. Despite his best attempts to be more mindful of things, he often falls short.

Non-Verbal - It's not that Warren can't speak. He just doesn't. He's sociable when he needs to be, but only to the precise degree that he needs to.
