Two more came in and filled in the spots the others left, and once again two dropped dead. Well, one dropped dead. He missed the other, which just stood up and attacked him, which was fun, greaaaaaaat fun. They all missed, again, becasue they were dumb zombies. Whoever made this event definitely made it a grind, goddamn Cardinal piece of poop! The rewards at the end of this road better be worth it or he was going to break into the codes and murder whoever made it.... Funnily enough, he could see a lemon nearby. How would it explode if he hit it? Would it squirt juices everywhere, or would it just pop? Either way it would be entertaining. He made a mental note to come grab some and throw them in anger when he was done with this whole fiasco. And once again, one of them lived, his kick literally taking off the entire jaw that one creature, though its zombi fortitition kept it afloat. For now, soon enough it might die. And when it did die, he would laugh. He was going to laugh so hard in that lemons face, he was going to squish that lemon and crush it, for his anger was great. HOW DID THIS ONE ZOMBIE ALWAYS SURVIVE, ONE OF THEM ALWAYS LIVED! IT WAS ACTUALLY INFURIATING. He was slowly getting more and more angry, a taste of lemon entering his mouth, a sour one. Damn, after this he was going to go CRUSH SOME LEMONS!!! If this zombie didn't die, like, if it just, kept refusing to fall over and die, eh was actually going to go bash up a lemon. Seriously, it was actually trash how long he lived, and finally he just dropped dead. He hadn't felt any hits recently, but they did. Two of them dropped to the floor with stunned looks as they just vanished. YAAAY, so good.... It was so bad man, these things just refused to die half the time. And when they did die, they were just replaced. Luckily none were filling at this moment, he didn't have the energy to deal with another full swarm. At this point he had nearly made a gap big enough to slip through into the tent, but he was still at the entrance fighting. Funnnn, so funnn. Sooo much fun, just standign here beating up zombies which refused to die. Great, exactly what he wanted to be doing with his time, fighting an endless hoard. He hit it hard and fast, before walking away, only for it to attack him, bit it missed. He didn't, but it did. and either way it stayed alive, the last one of this group stayed alive. Yay, fun. These things were invincible, it was so agrivating. They just REFUSED to die. This one had been hit so many times and it just stayed standing. Looking ath im like some dead piece of horse doody. It needed to fall. It needed like, a nuke dropped on its head. That would be entertaining, AND IT WOULD KILL THE BLOODY THING, they all needed to be PURIFIED WITH A FLAMETHROWER! He went to hit it and completely missed, his muse all gone. He was out of energy, out of options, and just throwing weak ass punches to kill it. He missed Jinx, Alisea.. It had only been like twenty minutes since she left but he already missed her so much. He had to do something to make it up to her when he got back, he knew he hurt her badly with telling her to leave. He had basically called her worthless, and he really hadn't meant it like that, sooo... He had to make some spag, or maybe take her out to another ramen shop... Wonder if she prefered other cuisines? He was Australian after all, he was used to eating barbeque meat, which was some of the most beautiful food ever afterall... Maybe she would like to try that? DAMMIT! And in that punch the entire zombie just exploded into nothingness. Huh, success. That felt nice, so he was one more down. He saw the ticker continuing to increase on the side of his screen which was also quite nice. He wished he could have done this faster and easier, a battle axe baby, that would have made this so much easier. Every hit he could probably kill all of them, thats how much stronger they were then his fists for an aoe battle. He had to make some way to do that. Next time he worked on a skilll... It was going to be that. It was going to be a skill which he could commit to and allow him to gain large amounts of cash with ease. It was a good idea afterall, the quicker he could get money, the quicker most of his goals could be acomplished! He needed it, and doing mass hunts with the guild was smart and all, but welll, it just... Didn't work as well as he wished it did. It was fun, and great htat he had such little energy. Maybe when he got stronger he could fight for longer. He knew he could, but like, ugh, why did it have to be so hard for him! This event was the exact OPPOSITE thing he is good at, he was a great fighter. He rarely took impacts, and when he did he always responded in kind, he had a min max build which maxed his evasion skills while protecting him from a moderate amount of damage. But these pricks just didnt' care, they kept coming at him. So, he would just get stronger. He would get more damage, he would get more accuracy and healing. Hew ould become invincible. Then, well.... he would just let these guys wail on him. Even if he hadn't been a good fighter or had his min max build he could still do rather well in a one v one agaisnt these guys purely because of the sysstem. But with how it worked it was actual hell, they just never stopped attacking. Every time he hit one they got back up, unless he got lucky or managed to pull of a brutally hard strike, and even those were hard because they strained his body to push himself that extra mile to cause more damage. He should have gotten charge up more, if he had he could do this a lot quicker. Not as quick as if he had battle axe but it would be a start for how to improve and become stronger, strong enough to protect Alisea. Then, in extent, he could protect his guild well neough from player killers like Pinball, and from other monsters throughout Aincrad. He had to hit the achivements he heard about, if he did he would be able to get something good for his little waifu... The poor girl, he felt so bad for what he said and he ahd to make it up to her. Some good armor or a nice shield is one way, though he would do more than that, making sure she got some beautiful food. that was the way into her heart afterall, she lived with him since he took her out to dinner once time... Huh, she had lived with him for awhile now, in the top story of his shop. He needed to reopen that, it was kinda dead at the moment. It was a lot of owrk, on top of the guild... But maybe, soon. Everyone... he really had played favorites. He spent all his time with Alisea, and before that all his time with Eatos. He had a massive family he had to take care of... He had only ever ordered Dustin around, he hadn't heard from Hei in a long time. Arabelle, well, she was just Arabelle, and was fine, and a little jealous of Jinx? He had no real idea. He threw his kick, the charge activating as he spun and smacked them all down, and one hit him hard to. Saphira... She was probably spending time with Hei now that he thought about it, they were really close afterall. Who knows, maybe he could kill two birds with one stone, and spend time with both of them? Hei and Saphira, that would be good, though it might be akward for him. Sky knew he had to save him. Something was haunting that kid, he used to be a shy but good guy. Something had obviously happened which made him turn to the dark side. And whatever it was, he had to do something about it. Though, it was absolutely bull, he attacked Alisea. Sure, he got away that night. But if he ever ran into him again... It wasn't going to be pretty, he had to do something to deal with that guy before it was to late. He was more than happy he got there in time to protect Jinx and Dustin, if he hadn't.... He wouldn't have been able to let him leave alive.... despite how hard the fight was. Katherine, despite everything she had told him about what she had done, she didn't desrve to die... He was on his own now, all by himself. Shew as gone, his rock was gone. She knew he could make it through, but could he really? He had broken down since she had died. Sure, he was slowly picking himself back up, but all he knew how to do was fight. She was the one who made all the plans, she was the one who hadnled the finances, she was the one who struck deals iwth other guilds. WIthout her, he raelly had lost a lot. His other side, the part of him that he needed to run this guild effectively. Without it, it was kind of stagnant. They hadn't gotten any new players, they hadn't grown, hell, even though he had the money for the hall, he hadn't bought it yet. That was the biggest oof.... He had to go do that, it was important! Well, that was how life was for him. Everything around him either died, or refused to die. He saw part of hismelf in these zombies, they didn't die. Like him... This had become his life, he ahd met so many people here he couldn't just lose them, and if he got everyone out of this game, thats what would happen. He would lose them all.. The fact that he had pretty much lost someone he trusted... Katherine. How the hell had he not noticed sooner? How hadn't he managed to help, WHY WAS HE SO USELESS! Hydra, he had vanished also. And Atzo, EVERYONE in his life just left him... How, how could he stop this?! Was there a way to stop Alisea from leaving him also... If he lost her too, he wouldn't be able to take it. He would just... Break. He would walk around, on his own. He would probably try and solo in the boss raids... He just couldn't do it, if he lost someone else who meant the world to him, he just couldn't. He didn't want to lose anyone else, and if he did, he wouldn't make it anymore. He oculdn't keep the promise he made, because he would have failed. Katherine sacrificed so much, she killed herself, and left it all on him. It was a brutal burden, but she trusted him to get everyone out of this game. She trusted him to get stronger, improve, and keep the guild alive... He wouldn't let her down. After this game ended, he would find her grave, in real life... And he would pay his respects. He was going to visit the grave, and tell her spirit the whole story, everything, make sure she was proud of him, and make sure that she didn't have regrets... Sure, he would probably be talking to no one, but, it would help ease himself... Just knowing the slight chance of her hearing it.... One zombie dropped dead as his foot went right through its head. He met her the day the game started, that had been a chance meeting. She had been in the middle of having a meltdown from her powerful mind, and he had helped her get the eyepatch and earmuffs she had wore for ages. Recently her look had changed, and honestly he was a little upset by it. He liked that she ahd worn his gifts... She really was cute, even now. He really did think that. He felt tears slowly falling down his face as he continued to kick the zombies, knocking them back a bit. He got hit hard, but he didn't even flinch, he just returned with more attacks. He was hurt, he held the funeral, and then he vanished. He didn't want anyone finding or talking to him. Sure, they saw him around, but he just... Didn't want anything to do with anyone. Why get that close to someone, only to lose them... What was the point! He couldn't kee doing it, he had to distence himsefl... But he had to look after everyone. He had to, he just had to! If he didn't look after them, he would be letting her down. Besides... Alisea... Something about her was special. She was only gone for thirty minutes and he had already broken down onto his hands and knees, crying... She calmed him down... She was honestly his safe place, and he wished and hoped he was hers. If he had to, he would gladly.... He had to do something... He couldn't keep moaping around... He needed to improve, for her... After this, he owed her a lot. He would spent the whole day with her, she needed it. She deserved to be treated so well, she put with so much of his problems, sure, not directly. But he owed her so much, she... really was the only thing that made him genuienly happy now adays, he wished that it was otherwise, he wished he oculd be happy on his own but.... He needed others, at least for now. Until he regained all his self confidence, all his abilities, all his power... He needed others to stay afloat. He was making progress, but he wasn't there yet. He moved in,and hit them all, one of them so hard it fell over. One of them got him good, the other nipped him, and two were stunned from the impact of his attack. He wasn't there yet, he needed to get faster. He needed to get stronger, he needed to mature more... He needed to make sure he grew stronger, strong enough! Strong enough to win every fight, strong enough to Get through ANY event. Strong enough to survive... Survive long enough to do this... Strong enough to win and make his dreams... Maybe become.... A reality. He would fight. He wouldn't stop fighting. Not until everything he wanted became truth, visable in his face as acomplishements he did.
