Enraged by the sheer horror that was the hot dog he had just attempted to consume, Oscar rushed forward towards the horde of undead. His axe in hand and shining with a crimson light, Oscar began slicing and dicing his way through the horde like a demon. Zombies died at a rapid pace, scattered like dust in the wind. Oscar was absolutely unstoppable right now. Despite being surrounded by the undead, they couldn't touch him. If they came too close, they were instantly obliterated by Armads. If he kept this up, they could have the tent cleared by sunrise! But he had to remain focused. The zombies still hurt quite a bit if they managed to land a hit and too many of them would send Oscar straight to the Shadow Realm. He needed to keep up his assault, but also not get so into it that he exposed himself to any unnecessary danger.

He pushed forward, carving a bloody swath through the ranks of the undead. It seemed as if he couldn't be stopped. He struck with such ferocity that the zombies couldn't withstand the forces he was bringing to bear. That is, unless he missed them altogether. Which he did. Because of course he did. Thankfully, it and the zombie that survived thanks to its invulnerability, were unable to land a clean hit on him as he danced around the battlefield. That being said, he was beyond frustrated with the tenacity of these zombies. It was one thing to miss them. That was a frustration in and of itself, but he could understand that stuff like that happened. But when he hit and even slightly overkilled the target, he expected them to be put down permanently. But here they were, surviving on one health like they owned the place. It just pissed him off. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep, but Oscar was about to go off. Jack had better hope he didn't show his face anytime soon.

With his energy bar nearly depleted, Oscar had just enough in the tank to unleash one final Explode Catapult before he needed to rest. Thankfully, all of his targets actually died this time. Without any further ado, Oscar leapt straight up and grasped one of the rafters. He swung himself up and over the wooden slat and plopped his butt down on it. Despite a few minutes passing since he attempted to imbibe that hot dog, he could still taste the foulness on his tongue. He wasn't sure what it would take to get rid of it. Maybe a good night's rest after an actual good meal? They were very close to his shop after all. He wondered what his regulars were doing since he was stuck in this tent and not cooking for them. Hopefully they hadn't found another cook to serve them in his absence that they would then give all their business to. That would make him the big sad.

With nothing better to do, Oscar whistled a tune as he kicked his legs back and forth. He was eternally thankful for the housing buff that made his energy regenerate at a faster rate than usual. Otherwise, he feared he might die of sheer boredom if he had to spend any longer than absolutely necessary up here in the rafters. He was beginning to grow tired of the constant zombie slaying. He figured he'd make one more good push and then break for a quick snooze. He didn't know what was in store for them come morning, but he certainly knew that he didn't want to go into it without any rest. But for now, all that was left to do was for Oscar to wait and make that final push. He hoped there was something good that would come of this night of insanity. But if the disappointing food was any indication, Oscar wouldn't hold his breath for that.

More waiting. It felt like that was all he was doing tonight. The time it took for him to completely tank his energy bar was not nearly as long as he had to wait for it to recover. It was maddening. But Oscar kept his cool. He was almost done. All he needed to do was grit his teeth and push through it. The seconds felt like hours as he waited for that blue bar beneath his health indicator to completely fill. He decided to fill the time by thinking about what exactly he wanted to eat once he got home from this. After that hot dog he attempted to eat, trying another was absolutely out of the question. He felt traumatized from the horrid monstrosity someone had called "food." Perhaps a large flank steak would be in order. He knew his familiar would definitely love that. He wondered if Bahr and Lessa would like to join him for dinner after all of this was done. This might have been a boring ordeal, but if it brought friends together, it wouldn't be all bad.

And now, the final curtain! Oscar leapt down from his perch, cocking his axe behind him as he descended towards the ground. Like a meteor, he crashed into the earth. His blade glowed with wicked red light as he began carving through the ranks of the undead. He fought so fiercely that he was actually causing the line to break all by his lonesome. Despite the raw power that Oscar was bringing to bear, one of the zombies managed to survive. It lunged at him, but Oscar kept it at bay with the shaft of his axe. Using its momentum, he flung it up and over his head before slamming the creature into the ground. Using the opportunity, Oscar spun round and delivered a low slash to the creature. Not that it would really do anything. It was invulnerable. But Oscar was in the zone and it just felt right in the moment. Far be it from him to try and do something that would throw himself off when he was like this.

Although Oscar was bringing every bit of his considerable strength to bear, it just seemed as if luck wasn't on his side. The zombies that he did hit, for the most part, activated their invulnerability effect. Then he missed another. Out of four targets, he only managed to kill one of them. But it didn't matter too much. He still had energy left to burn. He could mop them up with a final Explode Catapult. For now, he needed to focus on dodging them. Not that it was a difficult task to do. The zombies were sluggish and slow, meaning he could simply sidestep their lurching attacks and be completely safe. The trick was not dodging straight into another zombie, but he managed all the same. He whipped around, bring his axe back to a ready position. One final Explode Catapult and he would likely be home free, barring any more invulnerability nonsense.

His final Explode Catapult had, indeed, managed to find its mark on the final four zombies Oscar would slay tonight. Fortunately or unfortunately, only one of them managed to activate their invulnerability nonsense. Oscar dipped to the side to dodge its incoming attack and took a glance at his energy bar. Not enough for a Sword Art. He would be stuck basic attacking this thing. It wasn't as if that particular strategy had failed him in the past. He'd been doing it all night with great results. So why was it suddenly an issue now? Oscar couldn't really say. But he had a sinking suspicion that some unseen force had some kind of requirement they needed to reach, which was why he was giving this so much thought. He shrugged. It wasn't really his concern, now was it? He would simply hit the thing once, jump back into the rafters, and sleep.

His attack found its mark, but the zombie truly didn't want to die. Oscar sighed and dodged out of the way of a sluggish swipe as he wrenched his axe free of the walking cadaver he found himself still locked in combat with. This invulnerability was absolutely ridiculous. What kind of designer thought that it was a good idea? The effect literally had to go through a committee of people to reach the players. Did no one say "hey, this invulnerability thing sounds pretty awful, let's not do that?" Clearly not. Because if they had, it definitely wouldn't have reached this point and it certainly wouldn't be ruining his day right now. He sighed and readied his axe for another strike. If this thing managed to survive another hit, Oscar really didn't know what he was going to do but it definitely wouldn't be good. And heaven help the person who designed this thing if Oscar ever ran into them in a dark alley.

Oscar struck and the zombie shattered, finally putting an end to this combat and allowing Oscar to take his nap. He bolted straight upwards and landed on his perch yet again. From the safety of the rafters, Oscar would be able to get some rest before morning. He had a feeling that once sunrise came, the zombies would suddenly die and then part 2 of the event would begin. Unlike the chumps still fighting, Oscar would go into it well-rested and ready to kick some major ass. Truly he was a genius. But there was just one problem. The taste of the hot dog from earlier still clung to his tongue. It was just distracting enough to keep him from getting any sleep. He didn't want to stay up all night, but he definitely didn't want to fight anymore zombies either. This problem was vexing to him. How could he go about getting the taste out of his mouth so he could get some rest?

And then he remembered. Oscar had purchased some snacks from the concession stand while they were still fresh. Despite tasting like death, perhaps they would produce a taste so foul that it would counteract itself. It was worth a shot. So Oscar quickly consumed every single snack he had in his inventory. It tasted awful but after a few moments, when his palette began to cleanse itself, the foul taste of death was gone. With a smile, Oscar stretched out on the wooden slat and buried his axe into the support beam to keep it from falling. Everyone else could keep fighting if they wanted to but Oscar had other ideas. He closed his eyes and drifted off, despite having consumed almost an entire case of energy drinks and the chaotic sound of battle raging not twenty feet from his ears. When a man's tired, he's tired. It's really just that simple.

Used 1 Funnel Cake
Used 3 Diet Soda
Used 5 Off-Brand Energy Drink
