~physical appearance~

Hana is a slim ten year old with long black hair, her blue eyes are large and dwarf the other features in her small face causing her to look even younger than she actually is sometimes. her expression changes from minute to minute depending on what she is thinking about or what she is feeling, her emotions read on her face like an open book.

~background~

She started playing SAO with her parents and older brother who had gotten copies of the game for each of them and decided that they would use it as a way to spend time together as a family, she was never the most childish kid, preferring to read a book on the swings during recess over playing with the other kids, but she grew up really fast after they started playing the VRMMORPG, they first realized that something was wrong when they couldn't log out for dinner, and then, her brother was killed by one of the mobs they were fighting and just disappeared. then after the announcement her parents went crazy. they started running and ended up getting lost, she stayed there in the city thinking that they would come back for her sometime, but they never did. so now months later she has come to the conclusion that nobody is coming for her so she will just have to make her own way out.

~Virtues~

strong willed:

she is determined to succeed and will never give up or stop trying at anything she decides to do, especially when it involves getting free from this nightmare of a game. it is hard to convince her that something cannot be done, in her mind there is always a way to make something work no matter how hard it is. her determination causes her to keep going when things get hard or rough and to look for ways out sometimes even when there are none.

Young:

she see's the bright side of things and finds the enjoyment in all those little things that many adults take for granted. things like the color of a butterflies wings, or the random shape of a leaf. she enjoy's playing random games and being silly sometimes. Although she still has caution that most children wouldn't have, she tends to find that caution while still being innocent and carefree. she has decided that life is meant to be lived and you can't live life if you are sitting in a room doing nothing because you are afraid all the time. (being young has both its advantages and disadvantages)

calm:

she doesn't act recklessly or go into a situation before she knows what is going on, she is still passionate about things she believes in but she thinks before acting, a skill which most kids her age don't possess. she is quiet around people she doesn't know and tends to listen more than you would think a child her age does. she often thinks of idea's and solutions that others would gloss over or don't think of because of her ability to look at a situation calmly without getting worked up or frustrated about it.

~Flaws~

small:

she is small and seen as weak, she is not physically strong, and it takes her more effort to do what many bigger people do easily. this causes her some problems with fighting and she prefers to stay back and come up with ideas to help others win fights than to fight herself, she also dislikes getting hurt as it is distracting and hinders her focus. this is fine for her as long as she stays back but if she actually gets stuck somewhere she has to fight by herself then she is in real trouble.

Naive:

can get into trouble because she trusts people too easily, she takes people at face value and will believe what people say unless they are proven to be a lair in front of her. this makes her pretty gullible. she is prone to accepting anybody who says they can help her be better, or will take her with them to someplace. often she gets lied to and ends up trapped somewhere having to come up with a way to get back by herself preferably without having to fight.

Young:

people often don't take her seriously and ignore her or try to take advantage of her because they think they can get away with it. they see her as "just a child" and a weak little girl, which she technically is, she generally doesn't care and just lets people think what they want to think although sometimes it bugs her that she is one of the youngest players in the game that actually do something besides sit at the orphanage/church in the city of beginnings. (being young has both its advantages and disadvantages)
