[PP|F1] <<Earning a Living: Preformer>> My Cabaret

Recommended Posts

Felis charged into a small building rushing away from a group of players that did not appreciate his charming nature as much as other should, fixing his hat and coat he looked around his surroundings taking in the scenery of the studio noticing that it was clearly meant for a performer of some sort.

Walking around he wanted to check if anyone was around about to shout to any NPCs that maybe around before hitting his foot on a small chair "Motherfu-!" His curse was quickly interrupted by an NPC's dialogue, "Hello there, I do hope you enjoyed my singing, I love singing for others, and I see you are here, would you like to learn how to bring enjoyment to others in terms of singing? I would love to help you" Felis froze in place confused by the dialogue "Singing? When was she singing?" Felis shook his head before turning towards and smiling brightly "I'd love to learn to sing! Though I assume this will involve some sort of long series of pointless tasks" Felis spun his hand as though he was predicting the exact phrase the NPC would say.

"Now, I will start to record a song, and you can watch me and take notes on how to sing, the vocalisation of words is key in making a good product" Felis rolled his eyes though they couldn't be seen under his mask "Very well, sing away!" Felis sat down ready to watch this NPC sing watching her as she went to reach for something, "Oh no! I have completely run out, would you be a dear and gather five materials for me? I can still sing, but making a recording crystal will only work with materials. Thank you very much." Felis sighed "Of course." Standing up slowly he received the quest with information of what is required to complete it.

Peeking his head out of the door he looked around for the players chasing him earlier before creeping out carrying his cane under his arm to keep up movement.

Valentine was outside heading into the studio when he ran into someone else. He was aware of the fact that anyone who listened when the lady sung could gain the performer profession by completing the quest. Valentine was surprised that a man that looked like this would be interested in the performer profession. Valentine should be one of the last people to judge as his face was usually cold as stone.

"If you are doing the quest I recommend heading to the lake. There are stones in the shallow pool that works as the crystals needed for the quest." Valentine found out later that Alyssa Singular could be judgmental and did not tell everyone that informational tidbit. Valentine would not even mind helping the player. Ayssa had higher favorability after teaching a student. It would be easier for Val to ask the performer questions that was burning in his brain. If she would answer he felt like his skills would make leaps and bounds.

Felis didn't notice the other play before he spoke up looking down to see them shaking his head slightly before cracking his usual fanged smile, "No need to apologise for running into me." He said brushing himself down once more before grabbing his cane and turning around still keeping his eyes fixated on the player, even with his smile and mask cover the rest of his face, the hate in his eyes was clear.

"I appreciate the advice but it isn't very useful without directions to the said lake" It wasn't usual for Felis to act so harshly towards other players, especially the high levels one, but the individual in front of him seemed to need more of a serious tone rather than his usual charm. Walking ahead Felis turned around once again to face the man "Well come on! It's the least you could do for bumping into me"

Valentine made no comment when the man said no need to apologize. He was in the wrong and aware of the fact. The man was not even in the background of his thought so Val missed the obvious signs of anger and just assumed the man was nice. When he was practically commanded to escort the guy to the lake, Val had a mild moment of annoyance before relenting. He was more annoyed about being told what to do as only his father or NPC's have ever done it.

The lake was the crystal clear ambience as usual. People fished in some parts while other played around. The boar fields were not far and the wind made beautiful ripples on the waters surface. Val unequipped his foot gear out of habit before stepping into the shallow pool. "You may want to take off your foot gear the water can be an odd sensation of uncomfortable." He demonstrated how to look for the rock by taking some out of the pool.

Felis ignored the player's advice about taking off his shoes walking into the shallow lake his coat floating upon the surface of the water as he strode through it, not reacting to the cold water hitting his feet before poking around the rocks at the bay of the river with his cane looking for the materials he needed "I do despise these stupid gathering quests, I've yet to fight anything and here I am standing in ankle-deep water looking for junk for a fake person"

Flipping over a pebble the material he needed refused to spawn scowling and kicking the pebble up with his cane he flung it into the deeper end of the lake not allowing it to float to the top again.  "Even if they're incredibly easy to finish they take so much time" He turned away looking through more of the lake kicking more stones up while staring out at the scenery in front of him.

One accident was enough to change a person life. The passing of Sage made Valentine more aware of potential dangers. Even in the lake he may have unequipped his foot gear but his spear was present. A large figure leapt out of the lake, like an underage age girl at a frat party leaps out a window to avoid the cops. It was heading write towards the mysterious butthole. Valentine lifted his spear to intercept and hit it with a <<heft>> throwing it off course. Valentine was able to see the monster as a Lake Frog when it landed.

"You may want to accept this party request. It will be easier for me to calculate the odds of us winning and form a strategy."  Valentine wanted to know what the man was capable of in this combat scenario. If he was as noobie as he thought he would have the person stay off to avoid getting killed.

"Very well" Felis quickly accepted his request to join a party, this had been the first party he'd been in the problem with this is it showed how low his stats really were gritting his teeth he continued searching the lake for the material he needed, not paying attention to the battle that Valentine was going through. "I hope whatever reason you had for making this party is worth it cause I don't see any reason if I'm just gathering stones in this lake"

Striding through the water he came across another spot deciding to lean down into the water not before rolling up his coat and undershirt sleeves, pushing the pebbles around he looked for a spot that could potentially have the material he needed, flipping over the stone he soon found one of the materials he needed smiling happily he placed it into his inventory stand back up and rolling his sleeves down.

Val was feeling graceful as a lamb as he showed off. The monster was incredibly weak compared to Val on a normal day. It was not his fault for being all the way back on floor 1. When he was first taking up the profession quest this monster could have killed him. He was a lot less squishy so he could easily overpower it. The fight reminded Val about the fact that the monster would attack such a low level player like Felis. He could not help but wonder what kind of evil the man must have committed in a past life if the game wants to take him out so quickly.

If Val was less of a person he would not have minded letting the frog rip the newcomer apart. Luckily he was not even close to being that sinister. He would have protected in weaker player in the same situation. Val did not need to be judge and jury.
