[SP-F6] Grinding, Everyone's "Favorite" Thing.[Complete]

Recommended Posts

Waiting for the spider to tire itself out he kept backpedaling, not wanting any of that angered spider goodness. If it kept swinging he assumed it would have to take a break and that is what he was waiting for. Getting what he wanted, the moment the spider's attacks ceased he steps forward and gives it a poke with his dagger, tagging one of its many eyes and causing it some angered discomfort as he retreated again so not to be standing between its arms.

For obvious reasons he did his very best not to be too close in front of the spider, if it truly tried it could probably slice him in half if it used both of its natural weapons at once, so avoiding being in range of both was ideal. With this in mind, he circled the arachnid, keeping it turning and at least one scythe away from him. After a bit the spider lunged with it's nearest scythe, slamming it into the ground just next to Zerva who was still circling around to make sure that it was at a constant disadvantage with its many legs.

Hoping to take advantage of the minute opening that was made whenever the spider attempted to attack him he stabs forward with his dagger, hoping the blade may hit on of the spider's leg and give it some trouble tracking him as a result! As usual, the spider had other ideas, suddenly pulling a 360 and cutting with it's opposite arm, slicing Zerva's leg and causing him to make a frustrated noise towards his attacker.

With his leg wreathed in pixels he didn't want to move right away out of paranoia it might shatter, trying to trade blows before the arachnid could strike again. With his dagger pointed downward he stabs, aiming for the furred carapace of his foe. Feeling the satisfying sensation of a blade penetrating virtual flesh he steps back, his leg returning to normal again as he withdraws his weapon from the creature's body and gets away before its angered hissing could end and it launched its counter.

Zerva could very easily see that the spider was now under half health, making him smile widely. That meant he was winning. His morale rising ever so slightly with that knowledge, preparing himself for anything else the spider tried to do, his eyes tracking the scythes. When the spider leapt at him, scythe poised to impale, he grinned. That one move was too predictable it seemed, allowing Zerva to duck down and under the spider, stabbing upward with his dagger into its belly, making it writhe and struggle! With a strained groan he swings his arms, the momentum sending the spider off his dagger and onto it's back, still flailing to try and get right side up again.

With his enemy prone and on that last sliver of its hitpoints, who was he too side on caution and wait for it to stop flailing? He had to strike now while it was vulnerable, if a bit volatile! He closes the gap between him and the creature, raising his dagger for the triumphant blow! He slams his arm downward, the blade of his dagger piercing the spider's core deeply! The fatal wound making it shatter apart beneath him and his dagger stab into the dirt below its gravesite. With a chiming noise he raised a brow and looked to his inventory. It seemed the spider was generous enough to give him some donations!

After counting his col and thanking lady luck for his reward, he begins where he had left off. He approaches the nearby tree and begins scaling it, working himself up the large wooden pillar until he was able to rest between its branches. After the shortest of breathers he keeps going, this time across a branch towards the large spider web, now ownerless. He points his dagger out, cutting the connections around this side of the web until it lost its support and fell into a mess below. He jumps down from the branch not long after, examining the wrapped up bundle of webs. It didn't seem to have anything defining about it. It wasn't an eggsac it seemed, and it didn't seem like something rested within. He shrugs and cuts it, opening it up with his dagger to hear another chime. It seemed it was a similar thing to a chest! He looks to his inventory to see the results! Within his inventory now sat a third piece of spider silk. With a shrug, he decided it was better than nothing and he was content with the results. He pats himself off of any dust from the combat and begins his way back to the village. He would need to see what he could get made with his new materials!

1-4: The chest contains one material.

5-8: The chest contains two materials.

9-13: The chest contains three materials.

14-17: The chest contains four materials

18-20: The chest contains five materials.

Material reward: Spider Silk(x1)

((Now I can BS my way to 400 more col with a few posts! /sarcasm))
