[Sp-F2]Earning a Living [Repeat Quest]Complete

Recommended Posts

Seldentar sat in his shop, a bit concerned. Without metal or other crafting supplies, he wasn't much of a smith. He decided to go out and see if any of the merchant types had any for sale. Walking along, he runs into an NPC smith. Doubtful he had anything for sale, since most of the npc smiths only did basic repairs and gave out quests, he approached the man.

"You don't have any metal for sale by chance do you?"

The NPC turns to him.

"Ah, a fellow smith I see. Sadly i have no materials at all. My last shipment was attacked and the supply stolen by . If you could retrieve my shipment, I would be happy to compensate you for your time."

Seldentar sees the quest window pop up, realizing he was about to take a repeatable quest. The paramaters may be different, but the Earning a Living quest may be the easiest way to get more materials at this point. He clicks accept, then heads out into the wilderness.

Seldentar walked the path back towards the dungeon exit. The first floor had housed Illfang, the Kobold Lord, which was why the floor had so many kobolds in it. He had heard that several people had been ambushed and died because of a monster here at the entrance to floor 2, the remnants of Illfangs army. Since this was floor 2, they were a bit stronger then the Kobolds out in the wild on floor 1, being more on par with the bosses minions. Still, he regularly went to the higher floors, so he figured with his equipment he should have no trouble dealing with these new monsters. And he needed to get that shipment back for the smith, or he wouldn't have any materials.

As seldentar walks, he tries to formulate a strategy. A normal Raiding party comprised of 5 Kobolds. Most likely all 5 raiders would have to be slain in order to retrieve the metal shipment. He unsheathes his sword as he walks. The normal strategy of these camps was to have 2 patrol while 3 maintained the camp. That meant he could fight the first two in one on one combat, but the final 3 would be attacked at the same time. In addition, the Raid Leader would most likely be a bit stronger. As he approaches the area, he begins to search out the camp. As he peers out from a good vantage point, he finds the first patrol. A single . Gripping his sword tightly, he waits for it to approach his position, before jumping out at it. His skill activating, he focuses on the first enemy with everything he has. Slicing at the Raider, he cuts deep as his surprise attack goes off.

Seldentar continues to press his assault on his enemy. He wanted to kill these quickly, but they were strong enough that he wouldn't be able to take them down in one shot, since his current equipment simply would not allow it. Had he thought ahead, he could have brought a stronger blade. Still, his BloodDrinker was his normal weapon, so thats what he was sticking with for now, although soon it would be time to start carrying more then one weapon for varying situations. Too distracted by his thoughts, his attacks are sloppy and miss the kobold

Seldentar approached the camp, looking around. Two Kobolds standing on either side, and in the middle near the fire was their leader. He was sitting on a large box, which had ornate symbols on it. That must be the quest item. All he had to do was kill the kobolds, and the item was his. He decides to target their leader, and charges in. It seems that running straight in wasn't a good open move, and the leader parries his attack.
