Background:
Hayate Oiwa is a long descendant of Hattori Hanzō. A ripe young boy cast immediately into a mold fit for his blood, he was offered no solace nor kindness. Every day was one of difficulty, of growth through unending physical and mental conditioning. Such frivolous things as school, teaching came second to his upbringing. However near his teenage years he would be shown interest in a woman by the name of Hitomi Izumi. Eventually she'd convince him to slide away at any possible moment, providing him with a kindness he'd never bear.

Days turned to years, and the boy became a man. With desire, he'd steal away in the night with what little he owned. Being dogged by his family ties, his training proved useful. Concealed in plain sight, he worked toward the life he coveted and Hitomi gave birth. A business man that would easily hide among the masses, he'd worship his wife and child to which he found a greater purpose. Working for Argus, the man earned his keep. Tinkering with the devices, testing them as simple understudy. The three of them ended up in Aincrad, testing the systems as a family. Evidently he and his family are punished for his lack of secrecy, and can never leave.

Virtues
Protective - Hayate is driven to guard his allies and destroy his enemies. It is not uncommon for the man to put his life on the line for his own morals, or for his creed. In part due to his history, the man never falters.
Consistent - Bran is man of method, performing the same actions until they become mindless. A wave crashes but once across stone leaving it unfazed, but a droplet on repeat can erode a mountain. This extends to all of his actions, perfection through practice.
Practiced - To each and every action the man performs, he spends long stints of his time perfecting them. Every stroke of a brush a painting, every pull of a blade precise. There is to no lengths he will not train, and to no lengths he will not succeed.

Flaws
Lethal - Hayate follows a strict code. Whenever a task is given that he accepts, the man will stop at nothing to fulfill it. His word is law to which he must abide, no matter the cost.
Single Track Mind - Bran can never take a failure as final. The man will push himself to the absolute brink to end a contract, pushing himself to starvation or worse in the process. His determination does not end, nor does his resolve.
Apathetic - Whenever he agrees to a task, his emotional attachment to those included is forgotten. Through strict training, he has learned to put aside his own morality and find a serenity in his task. A drone, to be controlled once the trigger is pulled.
