[SP-F2] Medicine of the Forest.

Recommended Posts

Shade walked through the thick forest on floor two, climbing over a log as he walked. He mumbled to himself as he moved along, wondering why he undertook such a menial task. "Tch. What purpose does a pathetic quest like this provide?" He said, swatting a few flies out of his face.

Shade then slid off the log he was on, landing on the dirt and tree waste with a thud. He took a deep breath and looked around, running a hand through his black and red hair as he pulled gently on the neck of his jacket. "Gah... The hottest weather setting on the day I take this quest... What's the odds..?"

He then huffed and kept walking, looking at the tree branches above him as he continued. They did provide slight shade, yet it was still hot enough to roast in. He carried on and came began to walk down a grove he had found, the whole path was coated with leaves of every kind.

Shade took a few more steps through the leaves, and then felt a heaving sensation beneath him. He only had a brief moment to look down before he saw a large net rap around him from below, pulling him up and suspending him from the branch of a tree he had been under.

Shade blinked slightly as he realized he was now hanging from some sort of trap. Shade grumbled and tried squirming in the rope to no avail. He then heard muffled, low-piched voices around. He looked and saw pairs of glowing eyes all over in the bushes. "Come out!" Shade yelled out.

Shade merely glared at the creatures as they chattered about, then only to cut the rope, making Shade hit the ground in the net. Two creatures picked it up from both ends and began to carry him. Shade, trapped in the net, began using his toothed sword to try and cut the ropes.

One of the small creatures gasped and pointed at Shade, and then began to stop him profusely with a spear. Shade grunted and stopped sawing the rope, and in turn, the small creature stopped stabbing him. it seemed as though there wasn't any way to escape without being detected...
