Calyx asked if Tony was sure he wanted to give the sword up, and at the man's insistence, thanked him and took the blade. He immediately equipped it and gave it a few swings to try it out. It sliced through the air far more easily than the rusty old sword he had become accustomed to, and when he held it he felt... powerful. The blade seemed to hum with power as though merely holding it gave Calyx added strength. He thanked the shopkeeper and his wife again, and as they returned to caring for their newly awakened daughter, Calyx left the shop. He strolled back down the same streets of Starting City he had been walking just a few hours ago, mere steps from where he had crossed paths with the doctor. Only now he found himself equipped a new sword, a new shield, and a new perspective on SAO and its inhabitants.
