With such an emotionally jarring experience at such an age, it left some lasting effects on Zak's level of relation and compassion with others. He had not only lost his mother, but his old house and old friends as well. He had to completely reset with a new life and it wasn't something that he felt comfortable with at the time. It was about this time when he began finding peace in gaming, letting him roam on his own and interacting with strangers that had no care or influence on him. It was a mutual understanding in a virtual world. This rang true with Sword Art Online when he initially received his beta access, but when the game was fully launched, Zak couldn't take the same approach. Everything had been reset, once again. » Virtues:Headstrong: Zak isn't one to give up, on himself or others. He will keep on pushing, no matter the difficulties or consequences of the situation, until he reaches what he has set his eyes upon. He doesn't particularly appreciate those that give up.Analytical: While he is headstrong, he understands that a foolish rush on something can lead to utter downfall. He makes sure that things are in his favor prior to doing it, though if it isn't in his favor, he'll at least take the most appropriate approach and execution.Inner Shell: Even though Zak tends to emotionally detach himself from those that he hasn't befriended, he has an exception. He tends to show far more compassion to those that are young, easily manipulated, and those that can't defend themselves. » Flaws:Outer Shell: Zak generally keeps his personality to himself from those that he has befriended, often leading to a snowball effect of turmoil brought upon himself. It takes a true friend and someone that he can trust to be openly honest with and show his true self.Ruthless: With how detracted his emotions are towards those that he does not know, he doesn't think twice about harming those that get in his way. He becomes ten fold more ruthless when someone or something threatens or harms those that he has befriended. A hundred fold for protecting those that he has truly formed a relationship with.Audacious: Zak isn't much of one that cares for large organizations or guilds and their way of forcing a moral, social, or power message on those not belonging to the organization.
