[PP-F4] The Essence of Steel

Recommended Posts

Quickly assessing the situation, Lisbeth sprung into action. Activating her sprint skill once more she moved to the monster's other leg. Her battle axe landing on it's knee and creating a hit. Watching the green health bar go lower once more. She let out a victory cry as she took a step back. Jumping another step back as the beast continued to focus on the Crimson Lightning. He was an admirable tank and 9lives was even more amazing with his bladed skills. Rolling the axe in one maneuver to charge one of her special attacks, the blade began to charge up a violet-blue as she prepared for the call out.

Staggering under their combined assault, the great beast fixed it's beady little eyes on Saix as it bellowed and rushed forward. Swinging it's huge ham like fists, it gnashed it's teeth in frustration as the nimble opponent in red proved too elusive a target.

They were doing well now, the Yetti's triple health bars were certainly showing a bit of damage done now. It was also getting pissed, so that was a good thing, right? Between his lightning fast hits with his rapier, as well as his <> skill turning up the hate; it was trying to go all Donkey Kong on him. Which was just fine, because that let 9 and Liz really put the hurt on him. Laughing as he avoided the clumsy strikes, Saix really turned up the heat as he playfully slapped the beast's knuckles with the flat of his blade.

As the clumsy fists missed, Saix grinned and braced himself. My turn He thought, before turning up the speed and rushing forward in a fitting enough representation of his nickname as the <>, ducking under a giant fist he rushed close, his red jacket flapping in the forced wind of his charge, carefully picking a target, and smoothly thrusting 1/2 the length of his blade up into the beast's side, the thin blade going through flesh like a hot knife through butter.

Smoothly sliding the blade free he backpedaled smoothly, weaving around flailing arms and once again placing himself squarely in front of the beast. He could keep this up all day, and 9 and Liz looked to be ready to carve this overgrown monkey to pieces. He had to admit it, things looked pretty good so far. She was willing to dive right into the combat, which was good. Most new players wouldn't have been quite so willing to tangle with something as big as <>, having her face an enemy like this was the best way to see if he would want her to have his back in a real Boss Fight. So far she was impressing him.

"Switch!" He called out, signaling them to begin their attack.

Combat was going exceedingly well which was nice for a change. He had to admit that the new recruit was holding her own. it was rare that someone proved worthwhile in a battle instead of being cannon fodder. The recent boss battle had shown that given enough damage, strategy was pointless but this was not the case with this trio. they had a plan that worked brilliantly. Charging up to the side of the Snow beast, he stopped in range touching the tip of his blade the ground to charge his attack then activated . The three strike combo tore through beasts leg dealing considerable damage before he leapt back and began circling to stay out of its range.

Running forward with her axe ready to land an attack. She quickly slid on the ice floor passing under the monster whose focus was still on the fighting Captain. Raising her axe she landed the attack in between his legs, the soft part vulnerable as the Snow Beasts hands were busy elsewhere. With her heart racing extremely fast as she evaded the danger of doing something heroically stupid. She bare her teeth in a predatory smile as her attack landed and perform even more damage than before. Standing up behind the mini-boss she let out a huff as she moved back towards her guild commanders. Circling the monster to try and pinpoint out a witness, noting that she had been extremely cruel by attacking it in such a sensitive male place, in front of both of them.

One giant hand dropped to cradle it's sensitive parts that had just been violated via a jagged axe, as Snow Beast hunched forward in pain, whimpering noises sounding from it's throat. Then, roaring in mingled hate and pain, it attacked with a powerful smashing blow from it's free hand, trying to pound the annoying red coated man flat.

Saix winced at the placement of her blow, before he quickly spun on a heel and ducked beneath the giant creature's falling fist, narrowly avoiding the heavy blow. "Ouch, that was just... ouch." He said, laughing as he darted here and there, keeping the Beast's attention focused on him. "I like her, she's got spunk... Just remind me not to make her mad, that last blow was just mean." He said, retreating a few steps and opening some room between the Snow Beast and himself. "Keep at it guys, he'll be down in no time!"

Nine didn't need a pep talk. he lived for the battle. it was odd but didn't know what he prefered more. a difficult battle where he watched his health dwindle and fought for his life, or when he clearly dominated the battle like he was now. Maybe these were irrelevant conditions. Combat was the only time he felt in control and focused. it was the only time he could prove his worth to his party and guild. Seeing the Creature buckle from the recruits attack allowed the perfect opening for him to strike the creatures head. He stepped into Gasumi and his blade began to glow. Activating he swung his blade through the air sending a wave of energy into the air that cleaved through the Monsters face with devastating result.

"I thought men prefer their women mean. Huh?" She called out to Saix. Quickly doing some jumps to get closer to them, she knew her position was not worth it just yet to attack. Seeing the monster take a step to close to comfort she swung her axe in a cautionary move, but was sad to see it not hit at all. Upon reaching the front she whistle as 9lives did a Crit on the beast.

"Damn! That's incredible." She called out, smiling at Saix before adopting a fighting posture ready for the next move.

Clutching it's torn face and private most regions, Snow Beast failed to attack that round as it's simulated pain receptors were overloaded by the two incredibly sensitive areas being under simultaneous attack.

Saix paused, anticpating an attack that never came, as their opponent cradled it's face and emasculated nether regions. He waited a moment, before looking over at 9 and Lisbeth. "Jeez guys, I think you broke it..." He muttered, before darting forward and giving it a good stab in the ribs, his thin blade piercing the snow white hide easily, driving almost 2 feet of steel into it's chest in one quick motion. "I think he's stuck, let me give him a good hit and see if that fixes it." He says, giving the blade a twist, before pulling it free.

The creature seemed impaired by the onslaught of damage that the trio had delivered. 9Lives stood his ground holding the position. The creature was failing to even register hit boxes. he lifted his blade once again into gasumi. charging his attack. The Snow beast had eaten one of his phantom moon strikes already and 9Lives was going to deliver another. Lashing out in the air the Gengetsu wave flew forward cutting into the Beast chest.

"Ha! Then let's break it more," She called out following after Saix. Her eyes focusing on the vulnerable side of the beast that was open to her. Seeing the side open up to her she twisted her body to create a strong attack against it. Her blade swooshing through the air as it glow and sliced through the creatures ribs. With the momentum of the hit pushing her back, she landed and skidded a few steps backward, while trying to regain her equilibrium.

Panting lightly as she watch the health bar decreased once more. They were close, extremely close to savor the victory of it.

Enraged and on it's final health bar, the Snow Beast defaulted to it's 'special' attack, and crouching low for a moment to prepare, it heaved itself into the air in a powerful leap. Like a massive simian missile, it crashed back into the ice hard enough to buckle the ground beneath them. Knocking them down like bowling pins and dealing a fair bit of damage at the same time. This AOE tremor attack was an attack it could use rarely, and being on it's final bit of health, this seemed like a good time to use it.

Rocked by the impact of the creature striking the ground, Saix raced forward as it clambered to it's feet, and put everything he had into a thrust with his rapier, stabbing his blade right into the creature's belly at full speed. His blade sank almost to the hilt, and he gave a savage laugh of victory, before tearing his blade free and waiting for one of his guild mates to finish the creature off. Then they could go home and get out of this shitty snow weather. He was already looking forward to that.

The beast in desperation lept into the air slamming down sending a shock wave outwards. 9Lives Charged forward flipping over the concussive shock wave. he landed on his feet running and crossed his arms extending the blade under his left arm which charged his attack. Reaching the perfect range he activated and disappeared into the flash step. instantaneously landing behind the creature with his sword extended out from the cut. Flicking his sword as if cleaning the blood form it, he then sheathed Aitsuu. as the creature exploded into polygons behind him. His eyes were wide with exhilaration with the smallest smirk on his face. He looked back at Saix as if wanting another creature to show up so the combat didn't have to stop.
