[PP-F5] <<Blood In The Sand>>

Recommended Posts

Daeron and Zelrius were together in the city of <>, where there was an information broker. "There is known to be a shark that lives within the sands of this floor, by what I've heard, the drop from it provides you with additional damage mitigation for a single battle. With the next floor boss around the corner, it's best to go after it." the broker told the small party.

Daeron gave Zelrius a look that they both shared, basically both of the players were saying, let's go take out this "shark". The odds of a shark living in the sand... unlikely. Either way, it means that there is a free drop for them to find. Daeron led out the party of two into the desert, where the broker had told them about. In the middle of the sand, Daeron saw the sand shifting, but not from the wind as the air was still.

Moments later after encountering the sand to lift through the air, he saw an enemy and a name. The shark that was mentioned had truly existed. <> looked ready as ever to attack, and the players knew that this fight would be fun for the both of them. Daeron's pet, Scorch, would be the healer of the group as just in case they would need it.

Daeron, eager to fight ran forth at the <> ready to swing his weapon. He was dragging his sword through the sand, creating a line behind the blade. Daeron rushed forward at the <> who seemed to have a high amount of HP suprisingly.

Battle Dice: 3 (0 Damage)

The <> went into the sand, avoiding the attack, providing extra protection for the shark. "Zelrius! Attack it while it can't see us!", Daeron said as he pointed to the shark, that was now swimming through the sand.

Zelrius strolle behind Daeron in the sand headed to their new found enemy. The information broker didn't seem shifty at all. The information he gave seemed real enough. Unlike most rumors, This one's details seemed to be hundred percent realstic game wise. When they reached their destination, The sand had shifted and the Shark had appeared. Daeron went for the first attack, Zelrius pulling out Sange, made a move himself to attack.

The shark felt the attack from one of the players. Taking it up that the player was still near their most recent position, <> jumped out of the sand into the air to attack <>. The shark's teeth looked ready to devour Zelrius in a single bite, but either way, Zelrius better have good reflexes.

Battle Dice: 6 (3 Damage - 2 Damage Reduced = 1 Damage Dealt)

<> drove it's body straight back into the sand and continued to "swim" around the players, like a typical shark would in the ocean.

Daeron looked at the shifting sand, watching as the sand moved throughout the sand. Daeron then, when he felt the opportunity was prime, he drove his blade point first into the sand, hoping that was where the shark would be at the moment of his strike.

Battle Dice: 3 (0 Damage)

Unfortunately, he must have been focusing on the wrong shifting sands as the shark had turned out to be in a different location. Daeron pulled out his weapon from the sand and waited for the next opportunity to come.

Scorch flew around in the air, observing over the battle. When it saw that Zelrius was injured, it took this as it's turn to heal the player before it lost more health than he already had. Scorch flew over the player and attempted it's healing effort.

Battle Dice: 5 (0 Healed)

Scorch didn't have the time to heal as the <> continued to near the group of players again. So out of fear, the phoenix flew up into the sky waiting to heal Zelrius another time.

Zelrius backed up as his last attack made its mark but only barely. Nevertheless, He didn't drop the arrogant air that surrounded him at all times. Zelrius taking Sange in his grip a wee bit tighter, Zelrius charged forth and attempted to attack this Shark that lived in his ex-home. He remembered quickly why most people didn't dwell here, The heat was terrible and the thirst it brought was worse.

The <> was now running down to almost half HP, and it wasn't enough able to put much of a scratch on these players. Trying again for the player who has done damage to it so far. It leaped into the air again trying to attack the player yet again.

Battle Dice: 7 (1 Damage Dealt Due To Reduction)

<> again, barely grazed the player, dropping it's health by 1 HP only. The shark went back into the sand seeking shelter yet again.

Daeron laughed at the shark who was practically unable to deal damage to the players. Instead, he tried again, to stab his blade into the sand where he hoped that the sand would be. If it didn't work this time, he would try with a different method of attack.

Battle Dice: 7 (1 Damage + 4 Skill Damage + 2 Weapon Damage)

Daeron, finally heard the weapon insert into the body of the <>. He saw a small health bar in the sand and it's health dropping slightly. Daeron then commanded Scorch to heal Zelrius, or at least try anyways.

Scorch flew down to Zelrius again, trying to heal the player. It dropped a tear on the player's red wound, that looked like a broken grid in the player.

Battle Dice: 4 (0 Healed)

The tear dropped into the sand due to the shark making Zelrius move slightly. The avian then took off yet again and flew up into the air, watching over the location of the Shark.

Zelrius disliked this damned sea beast in his little ex-home Floor. He had to simply do something about it. Seriously, This thing was pretty annoying, Not because it got attacks and dodged or anything, No. It was annoying simply because the fact that it looked so ridiculous in the sand. This fish didn't even half look like he belonged here other then the dry skin and brown outer shell. Zelrius just HAD to take it down a notch.

The <> took another piece of damage. It began to become enraged and had been feeling weak. It was now it's chance to possibly strike a the player, hoping to deal any bit of substantial damage. The shark flew from the sand, into the air, sending sand flying about the gust. It aimed itself at Zelrius, who was the player with the higher Hate generated from the Cardinal's AI system.

Battle Dice: 1

The shark had missed and completely gone off target. If the shark was trying to miss, it did a perfect job, leaving it open for an attack right then and there. It was up to the players to take this opportunity before it went away any second.

Daeron saw the shark flying through the air, as it's attack was a complete fail. He swung his blade vertically upwards at the shark, before it had managed to go back into the sand. The moment of this attack had to have been timed perfect in order for it to be a hit.

Battle Dice: 2

As always, his timing had been off and the attack was a miss as well. Suddenly, the shark was back into the sand swimming around ready to strike again.

Zelrius couldn't believe how well these last few battles were going. Certainly these two were plenty strong enough to attack and kill most anything in Aincrad. That was because they were over farmed in level. Though it is not really their fault. The Front Lines move slowly and what else are the two supposed to do? Sit around? No. Daeron and Zelrius had been grinding since day one. Beside the Point, Zelrius took his high damage sword and went toward the Sand Shark.

Zelrius was still <>'s highest priority, as the players haven't done any damage this turn. The <> swam under the sand this time, hoping to go for the legs of the player. The <> neared the player as it sensed movement above it, it jumped up, hoping it was the player right above it.

Battle Dice: 8 (1 Damage Required)

The <> had timed itself correctly as it had managed to get to Zelrius' leg. Unfortunately, due to the player's high resistance to damage it was only able to deal a single point of damage, yet again.

Daeron knew where the <> was and he had to attack it where is "swam". Daeron ran towards where Zelrius stood, and swung his blade into the sand, hoping he didn't deal any damage to Zelrius by accident.

Battle Dice: 10 (9 Damage Dealt)

The sword came down into the sand like a hot knife through butter, and not only this, but the weapon had done massive damage to the shark once more. It was only a matter of time before the enemy was entirely taken out.

Zelrius noticed the shifting ground when the Land shark disappeared. Attempting to Jump away, Zelrius off from the ground only to still be met by the teeth this Sand bastard owned. When he landed, Zelrius could see that Daeron had anticpated the Shark's movements and was already in position to strike. The Blood Buccaneer followed suit of the <> and made his own move to attack.

With the <> nearly being defeated, it needed to try and deal some significant damage very quickly. If it didn't manage to find a way to deal damage to the players then it knew that it would be dead at just about any moment. The shark had no idea which player to go after, so therefore it jumped at the nearest player it felt above it.

[Loot Dice 1-10 = Daeron; 11-20 = Zelrius]

Battle Dice: 10 (3 Damage - 2 Damage Mitigation = 1 Damage Dealt)

As the <> flew into the air, it had managed to hit the player the player was surprised by the outcome of this attack. Right away, the shark saw Daeron getting ready to strike once more.

Daeron: 40/41 [Hate]

Scorch: 36/36 [Hate]

As the <> had managed to hit Daeron, he quickly reacted with another attack acting like a counter-attack. Daeron then swung his weapon through the air, hoping that the <> would not be capable of being able to dodge the attack as it had every other time he tried to attack.

Battle Dice: 4 (0 Damage)

This time, the attack almost worked, but the player had missed the attack just barely as the shark retreated back into the sand like it had all the other times. It was now up to Zelrius to try to get the final hit on the enemy.

Daeron: 40/41 [Hate]

Scorch: 36/36 [Hate]

Zelrius: 58/61 [Hate]
