Ourian Clemmens 0 Posted August 21, 2014 #1 Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 After his near-death experience with the floor two spiders, Ourian decides to play it safe and fight some of the first floor mobs to train. "Okay... This should be the place..." He said to himself, stopping near a pond that is usually a popular hunting ground for beginners. As he approached the water to wash his face, he spots four boars to his left, three of them getting a drink from the pond while the fourth one seemed to keep watch. Unbuckling his dagger, he walks over to the boars. Once he was close enough, the one that was keeping a look out spots him and alerts the other three with a couple of grunts. Soon all four of them begin to stare at him. Throwing caution to the wind, Ourian makes the first move and rushes at the guard boar. (2 Damage) Turning around, Ourian notices that two of the boars were charging at him. Thinking quickly, he jumps over them. Before he hit the ground, however, the third boar was rushing at him. As the boar ran past Ourian, he grabbed it by the tail and swung it over him, and bringing it down hard in front of him. Wielding his dagger backhand, he brings down the blade. (Huge Critical: 4 Damage) As the blade left the body of the now dead boar, Ourian did a quick spin down to one knee to prepare for the Guard Boar's attack, the dead boar's body shattering like glass. What he didn't expect, however, was the other two boars ganging up on him from the side and biting him in the leg and arm. (Huge Critical: 2 damage) "Think you're clever, huh?" Ourian taunts, shaking off the attack. He waits for one of them to attack... Eventually, the Guard Boar rushes at him. Ourian raises his dagger in the air. (2 Damage) Once the body stopped moving, it also shattered. Picking up his dagger, Ourian turns around quickly to see one of the boars airborne and its mouth wide open. You little prick!" Ourian swears, grabbing the boar by the leg, ripping it off his shoulder, and tossing it into the air. As it descended, Ourian got underneath it and readied himself for an upward thrust. (2 Damage) As the body disappeared, Ourian stared down the remaining boar... Suddenly, it ran right for him. He threw his dagger at it, missing it only by inches as it leaped to the side and resumed its charge. Getting an idea, he waits for the boar to get close. As the boar springs forward to bite his leg, Ourian retaliates by kicking it, aiming it carefully at his dagger's blade and sending the boar flying away from him. (2 damage) "Well THAT was a lot easier than those damned spiders, that's for sure!" Ourian boasted, walking over to the dead boar and reclaiming his dagger, the boar's body breaking as he did so. Ourian asks himself, tapping the Pig Fat item on the results page to bring up its description.Pig Fat Good Quality Cooking Item An ingredient used in many cooking recipes to prevent sticking to the pan. Favored by travelers on a long trip. "Guess I better learn how to cook in SAO..." Ourian says to himself, walking away from the pond and heading back to town. (Damage Blocked) Ourian then pushes himself away from the beast and prepares for yet another battle. "Want revenge for your little friends back there?" Ourian taunted, smirking as the Tusk Boar scratched at the ground with its hoof, preparing to charge at him. "Bring it, then!" Ourian yelled, challenging the Tusk Boar as he ran at it. With much effort, he manages to turn the large boar on its side. Still holding onto the Tusk Boar with one hand, Ourian grabs the dagger from his mouth and attempts to stab it in the head. Once it was a safe distance from Ourian, it charges at him. As it got close, Ourian prepared to block it, however the Tusk Boar turned slightly and jerked its head to the side in an attempt to stab Ourian in the waist. Squealing in pain, the Tusk Boar thrashes about, rubbing its eye with its hoof. Swearing in frustration, he decides to head on back to Starting City, hopefully to find his own weapon to train with and to return his borrowed equipment. After about fifteen minutes of walking around, he spots a building with an anvil being struck with a hammer with the words "Beginner's Armory" on the anvil. Walking inside, he is greeted by the NPC and a menu appears before him. Beginner's Armory Weapons Iron Sword: Longsword [200 col] Iron Dagger: Dagger [150 col] Iron Axe: 1H Axe [200 col] Armor/Shields Iron Armor: Heavy Metal Armor [250 col] Iron Shield: Heavy Metal Shield [250 col] Iron Chest Plate: Light Metal Armor [200 col] Iron Buckler: Light Metal Shield [200 col] Leather Gauntlets: Leather Armor [200 col] Immediately, Ourian taps the Iron Sword icon, causing it to materialize in front of him. Not expecting the weight, Ourian almost drops it as the blade swings down in front of him as he grabs it. "I keep forgetting how real this game can be... this actually weighs like a real sword." He said, pressing the "buy" button. Next, he tries on the Leather Gauntlets. Liking the light weight and the feel of them on his forearms, he buys that too.
