The creature looked at him pathetically in its last moments, before bursting into a stream of data, and Alkor let out a sigh of relief. He swung the sword across his body, then slid it in a way that almost seemed expert in nature into its sheath. He sat himself down and stared skyward, staring upward toward the moon. He'd never gotten a chance to look at it before; the celestial body was nothing like what he was used to. A strange, almost ornate looking satellite moved across the night sky at a leisurely pace, in perfect time with the real world clock. In this world, it didn't matter what time it was. It didn't matter where you were in the real world. It just mattered that you survived. "I guess it's a beautiful sight," he observed half-heartedly, "but..." He never finished the thought. Night had taken the world here, and that meant it had inadvertently done so in the real world as well. Though his body was in a state of rest, his mind was in constant motion. It was probably time for him to get some rest- the closest thing he'd have to a break while in this world. He stood slowly, then headed for Horunka Village. He would sleep there tonight.
