                       Timothy was the younger middle child of his family, having two older siblings and one younger sibling. He started off as quiet yet curious during the early years of his childhood, and seldom spoke unless trying to ask a question. He napped often, as though it wouldn't become a detriment in the future. As he grew, he still mostly kept to himself unless others approached, but was always willing to ask questions or show interest in various topics, mainly the world around and how it worked. He became a real bookworm by the time he was ten, and fiction would enrapture him over his curiosities as to how these worlds worked, the lore within, and how everyone involved played a part. With his exposure to fiction, it would pave the way for one of his few friends to introduce him to gaming at the age of twelve, where he would find himself enjoying games with well-built worlds to explore, secrets to find, things to make and do. When it came to games like the standard RPG, he often preferred some of the more mystical builds and styles, opting to look into the kinds of curiosities he wouldn't be able to satisfy in the real world. It was a simple, straightforward part of his life, and his family didn't mind because, be it book or program, reality or fiction, he was often looking to fill his head with knowledge.

               As young Timothy continued to grow throughout his teenage years, his frequent hyperfixations on his curiosities would prove to be both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes he'd spend so much time looking into something, researching something, or trying something out via safe experiments, until he was tired enough to nap on the spot. Lesser adversaries who disliked him for his personality or behavior often took advantage of the times he was napping, either to strike him when he wasn't looking or purposefully mess with his work. At the age of fifteen, he'd find himself making a new friend out of circumstance. Apparently helping Timothy out of a tight spot was the prestigious Oriana Valk herself. Timothy wasn't expecting this girl to come over taking matters into her own hands with those bullies who did nothing but waste their time, along with the time of many others. Regardless, she saved him the trouble of having to replace his hands-on research equipment, so that was a plus there, alongside the unexpected opportunity to befriend Oriana. Indeed, the two ended up becoming friends, not that they'd have too many chances to do things together in person.

         As the years went by, little changed, but Timothy grew more in interest, intellect, and wisdom. With all this he'd been learning and looking into, what was he supposed to do with it now that he'd become an adult? Perhaps learning at least a little more wouldn't hurt as he tried to figure out where best to put his capabilities to practical use. Unfortunately, he'd only gotten close when he caught wind of Sword Art Online, a VRMMORPG that claimed to practically put one inside another world...and Timothy's curiosity would only result in him being trapped inside a virtual reality, with no guaranteed way out.

               As Cedric, he simply continued researching and looking into things as he usually did. He'd gotten lost in reading up on lore and on fictional tales spread by NPC and Player alike, but maybe it was time to shake things up, maybe it was time to bite the bullet after all, and become yet another adventurer seeking to carve out a path for himself in this wonderous, yet dangerous and potentially lethal world...

 

 

 

Personality:

Cedric is a calm yet curious individual, and he has a number of personal interests and tastes. For interests, it's typically sciences within the realm of "how the world works and flows" as well as fictional worlds and how they work, he also likes to study up on lore, and grew to love getting into the story of a good book. In terms of personal tastes, he's somewhat open to enjoying a number of styles and tropes. He's enjoyed many different kinds of genres, given they've piqued his curiosity or had a story he couldn't pull himself out of. For his own personal style, he's somewhere in the region of "refined", despite his lack of a proper sleep schedule. Nothing over-the-top fancy, but certainly nothing excessively casual or street-style either. He's fairly easygoing yet also somewhat reserved, and in groups or friendship circles, he's usually "the chill guy", "the nerd", or, in certain groups, the voice of reason.

Brilliant:

Cedric has a sharp and analytical mind, helpful in many situations. He can come up with strategies or methods even in the thick of it, should he must, and not even fatigue will slow him down when there is a time of necessity. Being a studied individual only furthers this, as he has the knowledge to make proper use of, even if the knowledge bringing forth the success is unusual or not expected.

 

Chill:

Cedric is a calm man, typically preferring to go with the flow. Keeping a level head on his shoulders has proven helpful for not only himself, but others as well, be it to help mediate or calm others down, or even to keep a focused mind looking towards a logical or reasonable suggestion or conclusion. Some may see him as easygoing, others may claim he is reserved, but it would seem that he seems to be the person who would prefer to not focus on a heavy weight that could be on his shoulders, and instead take life at a simple, calm, steady pace and/or angle.

 

Studied:

Cedric has read many a book, from curricular material to books in a library. Even at home, he's often read books containing knowledge, or a good story rich in vocabulary. Having gained much knowledge, and always looking forward to more, his brilliant mind can make practical use of it.

Erratic Napper:

Cedric has a hard time keeping to a proper sleep schedule. In fact, one could say he doesn't have a real sleep schedule at all. His constant hyperfixations on his own personal research leave him to simply pass out or fall asleep at seemingly random moments, often poorly timed. One could compare his sleeping habits to that of a cat, and they wouldn't be wrong.

 

Hyperfocused:

Cedric has a bad habit of getting tunnel vision, typically with his research habits. Little can drag him out of it, unless it requires the most immediate, urgent attention or practically slaps him in the face. Other things that might stop him are finishing up or simply falling asleep. While he does value his time spent with others despite being somewhat of an introvert, this can make it difficult to do so in the first place.

 

Fixated:

If it catches Cedric's attention, it will be on his mind, for better or for worse. Usually it's a curiosity, such as a topic that might intrigue him, other times it is an irritant that aggravates him, such as a solution to a problem that he can't seem to find. If something sticks to his mind, he can be dwelling on it or chewing on it(not literally) for nearly a week, if not longer.
