Morningstar 0 Posted 9 hours ago #1 Share Posted 9 hours ago The Labyrinth had a way of changing itself when stragglers became to accustomed to its layout. The walls shifted in ways that did not make sense. Entire locations seemed to teleport, disorienting any who exist within them. There was no telling where they might end up next, or if they would exist at all. Sometimes, there was a garden. Thematically, it did not fit with the layout of the floor. Lush, vibrant vegetation and thriving wildlife dotted every corner of the garden, while outside, the world was dull. Dull skies. Dull walls. Dull everything. Anyone could have stumbled into the garden if they weren't watching their step, but in the maze, nobody ever found it on purpose. There were many entrances, and many paths that led to it. Morningstar entered from the east while searching for something else entirely: a Foreboding Tower, where sometimes dragons slept. He had come to the garden before. The first time, on Floor 11, Nemo, the caretaker, brought him all the way from Taft to see the flowers. Many times after, during slow periods, he visited the gardener. He went as often as he could (which, regrettably, was not that often at all), bringing gifts from the outside world. Morningstar was fond of Nemo. Never before had he found the garden inside the Labyrinth, however. His weary eyes brightened at the sight of colour and the touch of the fresh breeze against his skin. The dead air in the maze made him sick, and it took the Garden of Eden to fill his lungs with life again. A small family of snapdragons chirped from their nest. The mother fed her babies a type of fruit unknown to Morningstar. He passed them by, wishing not to bother them. He wandered into the heart of the garden, a welcome guest. stats incoming Sharing with Mari: Gungir's Shard (Smores Skewer) | EVA II, PROTEIN II Gelato | LD III Mousse | PROSPERITY III Imperial Quarter Blend | DMG III
