[PP-PT-F6] Fires in the Jungle

At headquarters, Morningstar filtered through his files. An influx of new trackers meant a higher volume of work for the guild leader. Though the guild made them out to be bonified freelancers, it wasn't an accurate description. They required all the same training and communion that a standard guild would provide. The increased output and rising success rate of rumors made it a worthy tradeoff, however. Morningstar's vision was coming true.

Two rookies in particular caught his eye: Gambit and Riardon. The later was recruited by Wulfrin, but Morningstar wasn't overly familiar with Gambit. The picture in his file looked familiar, though. Star thought he had seen him somewhere before... the beach, maybe?

Conscious that he didn't spend enough time with new trackers, he pulled a simple mission out of his list and typed a brief message to the two of them.

MORNINGSTAR: free at 1pm? meet me in senimoh. we're going to check out some wildfires.

He had to have read the message about sixteen times to make sure it was what he thought it was. 

Free at 1 p.m.? Boy, am I! Once he'd confirmed the validity of the message (how exciting!) he hurriedly typed up a response.

GAMBIT: SIR YES SIR! O7

It was only after he'd clicked send that he began to worry that maybe emoticons didn't reflect well on his maturity. Oh, no. Had he made a grave mistake? For the next two or three hours, Gambit went back and forth on whether he should send a follow-up message (stupid, stupid, stupid) or if he should make up an excuse (his dog died?) and bail after all. In the end, he decided that if he had to get scolded, he'd face the music like a man.

Gambit trudged his way to the meeting spot with his head hung low. He stuck his thumbs in his belt loop and kicked a stone sadly off to the side.

[Riardon 0]

 Having been fairly new to the Tracker's Alliance, Riardon had vary few adventures under his belt. Almost all of those were under the wing of Wulfrin. That said when the notification to join a mission from the guildmaster, Morningstar himself, Riardon saw the opportunity to expand his horizons a bit. 

RIARDON: I'll be there.

Riardon tended to avoid traveling alone, especially since his lack of a weapon and armor skills meant most monsters were a danger to him. The trade off was worth it though; Riardon had chosen to focus his skills on supportive actions, tending to lead to more efficient attacks from his more capable companions.

"Ready for action," Riardon spoke up as he approached the meeting point. "Sorry we haven't taken much time to introduce ourselves. I'm Riardon, budding appraiser and support specialist brought on by Wulfrin. I've been slowly building an information network as well, but that has kind of stalled out as of late." He took a moment to shake hands and hear the others' introductions before opening the conversation about their mission. "What do we already know about the fires? The less time we spend uncovering information we already know, the sooner we can put a stop to the infernos."
