[PT-PP-F1] Old Song (Earning a Living: Performer)

Recommended Posts

Wandering through the open field, after having just jumped through the hoops regarding Landon. If it was the requirement she needed to reach to dust off her old workshops and tools, allowing a sense of life to return itself to the world that never was or better yet avalon then she'd gladly deal with the droning from some dorky rewritten idiots. The ever peaceful floor 1, still so haphazardly mundane and uninteresting. A falsified paradise to lull them all into a potently manufactured sense of security. Listing aimlessly, she'd find quite readily the little blooms of stones that she was more then familiar. A wiggle of her hand would see it snap off, and she'd toss it limply into a linen bag. That was one, this was nothing more then child's play. The girl would shriek back toward the village "You coming? if you don't move your ass I'm going to be done before you get out here."

A short jaunt through the floor of beginnings, a quick conversation with Landon to obtain the quest. The woman that she was following was so fast. "Yea I am coming" practically run to catch up. Seeing the woman reach for a small glow, it was clear that she knew what she was doing. Seeing a similar shine she smiles an plucks it from where it sat. It was days like this that speed was necessary because weather she wanted to admit or or not this woman was fast as shit. Sam was having trouble following and at times she would lose sight of the woman. She would have to start focusing if she wanted to keep pace even a fraction of the time. Glancing around seeing nothing more in the direct location she would move on to the next. Sam had never been good at basic gathering but she needed to get better at music to impress CC, she would do what needed to be done to do just that.

Down upon that blooming collection of prisms that seemed almost determinately out of place where they sat. Probably do to the fact that things had changed just enough to allow the possibility of collecting them, because someone somewhere had realized that you couldn't really record music on a cactus. The woman begins to cradle it and twist, ripping the multi faceted string of color clean from its little nesting. "So easy." The woman expresses as she tosses into the linen bag, causing it to knock against the other already contained inside it. The dorky little prompt slides into her side view, causing her to wave her hand like swatting an insect. This disguise of hers caused this annoyance to come out full swing. It sure was an effective enough bluff that it reduced most of those restrictions down to damn near a science. "Keeping up over there?" Nisa yelps toward Sam, who was still out of breath.

Holding a wall breathing heavy, "Yea, yea" not even understanding what the woman said as she was trying to catch her breath. Eventually she would, finding a small crystal that took the color pink in appearance. What was with all the rando colors. Did it mean something different for each one. Maybe the white haired woman would know, plucking one off carefully as to not break the source of the crystal itself.  "Hey what is with the different colors, is there a difference in frequency or something." Staring at it for only a moment before placing it with the other that was gathered. Hold her chest as the woman seemed to be 50 paces away at all times, "Geeze" saying as she starts running in the direction trying to keep up. Every few step she would glance down to get for shiny objects but it was just her mind playing tricks on her.

Shaking her head in almost awe at how out of shape the girl was, Nisahime couldn't help but sprout a smile. "Damn girl, I am so much older then you. Maybe stop parking your butt in a chair and get some exercise. Kinda lame. Especially if you want to be singing on the real." The white haired woman offers in an obvious jest, trying to give her a bit more mojo to the fire and keep her moving instead of passing out. "The colors are because its a prism you dolt. Your seeing the light being bent once it goes inside, dividing it into different strands based on wavelength." Spoken so simply she'd silently wonder if the girl went to school, but could already approximate the answer. Leaning down she snaps off another glass hexagon and casts it into the bag, like picking apples from a tree. Not a single chance in hell she'd break one.

"Maybe your right" taking a huge deep breath. It was clear that she had to start a schedule that involved lung usage. "To be far I have be trying to write songs of my own. It's a bit harder than I would like to admit." A small huff before glancing down to find another shard. "So it's reflecting light, cool" saying as she snaps it free softly. She didn't really know how fragile they actually were. Staring at it amused, she had never actually taken the time to observe such a fascinating item. They were also crushed or used right before something primal happened that would bring her focus elsewhere. Stashing in her bag, her eyes would scan the area for another but nothing was coming into view. She would travel further to the woman, it would be more of a fast walk then a run. She didn't want to miss anything.

"There ya go, the first way to solve a problem is to address it." Nisahime chuckles, moving to another nest egg of the things. They sat protruding out of a stone like leaves of an aloe vera plant, these glimmering hunks of glass. Nisahime gingerly grasps one in her right hand, bending it back and forth like the shifter in a manual transmission. Eventually it becomes so loose that she can easily slide it free. "Yep pretty cool, now I am a little drawn back by the act of recording it and keeping it in your pocket. Back in my day we did that shit in battle. None of this pocket tape." The woman remarks leaning down to pick up the back next to her right foot, tossing the third stone in with the others. Her attentions immediately lock in, focusing down on the next in the little bouquet of fun.

"Hmm, I guess it's just a way to have a free hand and not have to switch on the fly." Back in the day??? Was that another way of saying in her other world. That still confused that crap out of her, all the talk about different universes and crap. She lived by facts most of the time but the stuff in this game as made her alter that opinion slightly. Not sure to what or how, it was a bit overwhelming to think about. "I think that it is a way to reflect your best self, in music anyway. Record it and look back to what you have accomplished." This was more true that she ever thought it would be. The music was something she thought about for only a split second in the real world. Here it was possible to let loose, be free, show who you really are. This game may actually be the best thing that had ever happened to her. More so that she got to meet her ideal and it wasn't just being watch from a tiny screen.

"Heh, that's what you think. But there is some aspects of a performance you simply are never going to catch on a recording. Looks, the rush of a crowd. The smell of excitement, which can be a little much. But that electricity. Nope." Nisahime would remark as she'd rip out a final stone, causing the little counter at the side of her vision to turn grey and then fade into obscurity. "Just practice, get better. Don't need to relive history over and over to improve. Thats an old wives tale. Anyway, hurry up. I'm heading back. Don't break any~" The woman would remark as she'd begin to slide away, wiggling her eyebrows as she backs up in reverse. About facing, she'd seek her box and begin to rustle through it. Out comes all manner of instruments, as she weighs what she'd like to utilize. "Probably old tried and true." plucking up the red colored mandolin and a wrapped scroll shoved into her belt loop. Sometimes the classics were the best solution.

Listening carefully to Nisahime, she says this like she had experience in it. Like she had lived it, almost missed it. Taking a deep breath, maybe that was what CC was trying to relay. When ever they played it was with an empty crowd. Maybe one day she would be able to feel that rush. She had to prove to CC that she could be the best, maybe then she would be allowed to join the real band back home. They had years of experience on her, that was not going to stop her from trying though. Grabbing another shard free with a small wiggling motion, this was the last one. Setting it with the others, she rushes back to town. Pulling out her base that CC gave her, this was going to be fun. Pushing through the doors finding Nisahime standing there, she would listen carefully to see if anything could be learned from watching or hearing the woman play.

The woman would begin to play as she'd wander into the store, utilizing the mans equipment without a lick of care nor concern. The guy would continue to talk as waves of red pooled off of her much in the way that others would view fighting spirit, and yet it echoed out from her in ways that others would not even begin to fathom. Blades of many would shriek to life at such simple plucks of a chord, as well versed and practiced hands would express the sheer volume of effort and training that they had undergone. It would only be a matter of time before she was back to her full faculties and was able to produce layers of potent song that would easily dwarf her competition. This was the old song, renewed in its vigor and berth. Trapped within a little glass prism, tainted red and flaring angrily as it struggled to contain it. "Good talk, Landon. Buh bye."

After Nisahime was done, it amazed her how great the woman was. With the bass hanging on her back from the strap she would clap. After a few moments of fame from the woman's end Sam would swirl her guitar forward around her shoulder blade catching it in her hands. The music starts to illuminate the room, a song that she was rather familiar with and a very practiced one from CC chart. Tapping her feet and moving her body to the music that she played. Head bobbing to the beat, then nothing. It was over before she knew it, swishing her hair forward then back up as she takes a deep breath. Landon was looking at her wide eyed before saying, "Why the hell do I even bother." The man shifts in his seat, Sam couldn't help but laugh as she swings her bass to her back. It was almost like she knew what she was doing... Sorta...
