[SP-PT-F01] Learning to Gamble | EaL: Appraiser

One final crafting profession and one gathering profession were all that stood between Wulfrin and his full house of all available professions. This one was another familiar quest to him as he had escorted Riardon on his journey to unlock the profession. As far as he knew Riardon was doing well, but hadn't gone through many appraisals. Most players were looking for specific enhancements and preferred to visit maxed out shops for better chances. Wulfrin was kind of in that same boat. He hadn't been upholding his end of the bargain with Riardon.

"Why hello," Drax greeted Wulfrin as he entered the shop. "What is it that you're looking for today?"

"I'm wanting to learn to appraise items," Wulfrin replied, going through the motions.

"I don't do anything for free. You bring me the items, I'll show you how to identify them."

"You got it. I'll be back shortly with some items."

Wulfrin made his way back into his favorite hunting ground for the final time of the day. The air felt different this time though. As he scanned the area he found the remnants of a body that had been almost completely devoured. It obviously wasn't a player, but it also wasn't an NPC, as both of those would have burst, leaving nothing behind. Wulfrin assumed it was part of the quest and began to scavenge around the body for anything useful. He managed to locate a rusted shield, a curved sword, and a small blue crystal. None of the items displayed any information when he tried to open their information windows, so Wulfrin decided these would likely suffice for the quest. Clearly the wolves had been busy. Wulfrin took a moment to scan the area, he didn't want any unwelcome surprises to jump out at him when he turned his back. Certain the area was clear of hostiles, Wulfrin turned back towards the Town of Beginnings.

"Will these work?" Wulfrin questioned as he placed the sword, shield, and crystal on the counter.

"They'll do," Drax responded as he put down his current project. "Let's see what you found."

As promised Drax sat down at a small desk with Wulfrin as they started to go over the items. The curved sword was the first, its steel blade was blunted allowing it to incapacitate more than wound. The second was the shield. It was a simple kite shield that seemed to allow some slight health regeneration, but was otherwise unremarkable. The crystal was the stand out. Much like the mass healing crystals Wulfrin usually carried, it allowed for a burst of health to be restored. It was slightly more potent, but could only heal one person at a time.

"That's all there is to it." Drax affirmed. "Take your pick of the items. You did most of the work, so it makes sense you should be at least partially compensated."

"Thanks," Wulfrin replied. "I'll take the crystal."
