Lancaster 1 Posted Thursday at 04:43 AM #1 Share Posted Thursday at 04:43 AM After the sheer unbridled chaos had left so little left in their wake, the man had his nerves dialed up to 11. The door on their home was repaired, yet wouldn't help but feel a bit alien given it was drastically different then the day before. The table lay barren of all the foodstuffs he'd failed to enjoy, and his mind still foggy from the excessive amount of wine. The soft crunch of snow under his feet, as he'd begin to pick up debris from the yard and cast them into a pile. Like the shattered remains of a once rose tinted view, muddied by a desperation to resist the world exerting its pressures on him. Divining who or what he was allowed to feel, or who he was allowed to care for. Finding one of the pair of missing frog slippers, poked up out of the snow with a little green head the man cannot help but smile. Mari was likely inside, still trying to fight all of the ash and broken glass into a trash can. "Facciamolo subito..." Lancaster mutters to the slipper as if it would pay him a response. His thoughts raced on the vaporous nature of their futures, the possibility of it all being torn away within an instant. Selfishly he couldn't bear the thought, and silently hoped that something as concrete as his given decisions to bond them together would keep them that way. Wandering into the abode, clutching the frog slipper in both hands he'd look to his jacket still strewn across the floor. "Amari." He'd seek her out, yelling loudly about as tactful as always when it came to her. Finding his sights on her with half of her hair still fuzzed up and fritzed, a cup of coffee in her hand and one eye gracefully trying to return to a bed. "Mi amore, marry me... now. No telling what tomorrow will bring. Make it official." The man would pause on the taste, welling up courage and picking his words. "Nothing will tear us apart, let them see." Leaning down to put on his jacket, his mind clearly made up at just how hard he was willing to resist and fight for what he believed in. <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Lancaster>> Level: 34 Paragon: 0 Tier: 4 True Tier: 4 Final EXP Reward: +0% Lancaster | HP: 680/680 | EN: 106/106 | DMG: 21 | MIT:56 | ACC:4 | BRN-IM | FL.AURA: 16 | FL.THORNS: 16/32 | BH:34 | BLI: 32/-20 | BRN: 56 Spoiler Name: Lancaster, The Consuming Tyrant True Tier: 4 Level: 34 Paragon Level: 0 HP: 680/680 EN: 106/106 Stats: Damage: 21 Mitigation: 56 Accuracy: 4 Battle Healing: 34 Stealth Rating: -3 BRN-IM FL.AURA: 16 FL.THORNS: 16/32 BLI: 32/-20 BRN: 56 Equipped Gear: Weapon/Armor/Trinket: - All Consuming Pyre - Hades [T4/Demonic/Throwing/200384n] | BRN 2, BLI 2 Armor/Trinket: - Hydra Hide Jacket - Erebus [T4/Demonic/Heavy Armor] Flame Aura 2, Flame Thorns 2 Shield/Armor/Trinket: - Inset Etching Tongue Piercing - Cerberus [Tierless/Demonic/Trinket] Accuracy 3, Fireproof Combat Mastery: - Combat Mastery: Damage R3 Combat Shift: - AOE Shift Familiar Skill: - Custom Skill: - Skills: - Battle Healing R5 - Energist - Heavy Armor R3 - Thrown Weaponry R5 Extra Skills: Inactive Extra Skills: Addons: - Focus - Precision - Stamina Mods: - Impetus Inactive Mods: Battle Ready Inventory: Housing Buffs: Guild Hall Buffs: Scents of the Wild Totem: Wedding Ring: Crafting Profession: Gathering Profession:
Mari 1 Posted Thursday at 04:52 AM #2 Share Posted Thursday at 04:52 AM (edited) "Mi amore, marry me... now. No telling what tomorrow will bring. Make it official." What? Mari stared at him for a moment, coffee still in her hand. One cold foot upon the stairs, she had been ready to climb back into bed. Too tired to deal with the day right now. The woman had been running on overdrive since the encounter. Getting a custom skill from Oscar so she could hoard all the funds she could to fix the house completely, she was prepared to move it if needs must. She needed to fund everything she could for him. His resources lost - his connections severed. Mari was doing her best to prepare for the worst. Waking up at the ass-crack of dawn and coming home long after the sun had fallen. She hadn't had the chance to spend as much time with her betrothed as she'd like. Mari wanted to give the man the world, and in doing so she was denying both he and her something they so desperately needed. Each other. So when he had asked to marry her, it caught her off guard. Mari was asleep, right? Yeh...no...he'd not ask that. Right? A slow blink denoting the woman was not quite fully awake yet as she stared at the man she loved. "Sss. Dream..." Mari mumbled as she rubbed her eyes and turned to walk up the stairs again. Marriage... proposals...their entire relationship had been a fast and termotulous whirlwind of desire and need. Longing between two torn souls who just found their perfect counterpart. "Not a dream, Mi amore. Marry me, today." Not....a dream? Mari turned to look at him. His shoulders covered in flecks of snow, in his hands he clutched one of her slippers, forgotten in the midst of a panic attack. A sign of comfort and peace ripped asunder by the icy sheets outside, and the encounter a few days prior - one that still had her heart wrenched. "You..." Mari swallowed, trying to find the words. He actually wanted to marry her? The proposal wasn't just some sort of romantic gesture? He was... "You actually ....want to marry me?" The question wasn't supposed to pick apart his loyalty or his drive. Mari just...did not have the best experience with such things. Her last wedding was done out of convenience. All she had to do was sit quietly like a good girl and do as she was told but this time.... this time felt different. "Today?" Mari glanced at the half finished cup of coffee, and downed its entire contents before quite literally throwing it over the balustrade - the ceramic smashing against the empty wooden table. There was already so much to clean, another smashed item meant nothing. Mari turned and practically jumped into Lancasters arms. Her face nuzzling into his chest. "Yes! Lets. Fuck it all. I'm not letting you go." <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Lancaster>> Level: 34 Paragon: 0 Tier: 4 True Tier: 13 Final EXP Reward: +5% Mari | HP: 680/680 | EN: 106/106 | DMG: 21 | MIT:44 | ACC:4 | AA | EVA:4 | BH:37 | BRN: 56 | ENV-O: 32 | PARA-V | LD:6 Edited Thursday at 04:59 AM by Mari
Lancaster 1 Posted Thursday at 05:17 AM Author #3 Share Posted Thursday at 05:17 AM Lancaster cupped her hands in his own, easily dwarfing them as they disappeared into them like a hearth. A shared dreary excitement, mixed with a near lack of motor skills causing them to fumble around. The haphazard haste of the pair tossing each other shoes, bits of clothing like socks passed to and from. As if they were late to an appointment that neither had made. Lancaster hopping on one foot as he slipped on his other boot, Mari roughly in a battle with a brush stuck half way through tangled hair. Yet, they left and with a little encouragement from Mari's tools they wouldn't have to hoof it down 3 entire floors to get there. What would have been a few days of travel was cut to mere seconds, proving the woman's advantage and capability. But that was only the start of their trials and tribulations. Given the very principle was, they had to get to the central cathedral in the middle of the Town of Beginnings. What ensued would be a horrendous bloodbath of combat through the streets, running down side alley ways as the pair razed a path as a couple. Fighting both figuratively and actually for the right to do what they wanted. The streets of the first town, the largest settlement would be filled to the brim with black outlines of what used to be guards. Mari carefully guiding Lancaster through passages and through buildings, aggressively diving deep into enemy territory until they reached the church. Inside, the pastor tries to threaten them both to leave. Lancaster pulls hard at the neck of the NPC's collar, the cigarette in his jaw bleeding a trail of smoke. "Listen here figlio di puttana, if you don't want to be using yourself in a censer in your sermon tomorrow, you do whatever it is you need to do. We will be out of your hair. Va bene?" A hard shove sends the pastor to the floor, holding tightly the book in his hand as Lancaster adjusts a ring. The prompt appears seconds later, it would appear that the intimidation did what it needed to. Quest Objective | Roleplay speaking with James to declare that the pair wishes to be married, then discuss the wedding plans with him.
Mari 1 Posted Thursday at 05:35 AM #4 Share Posted Thursday at 05:35 AM (edited) With the pastor threatened and subjued Mari would glance over her shoulder at the entrance to the church. Shouts of anger and violence from NPC guards could be heard from beyond the large wooden doors - but they remained resolutely closed. It seemed the sanctity of the church kept them at bay. Good. At least they'd be protected here whilst they figured out the details of their wedding. Wedding...Mari hadn't even thought about a dress- she did have one, which may prove suitable but.... She shifted her gaze down to her ring. It was perfect, just how it was. She didn't need anything else. Could they convince the NPC to allow them to keep their engagement rings as wedding rings? Come to think of it...why did people need both an an engagement ring and a wedding ring? "G-Guests....?" James asked. "What kind of wedding d-do you two want?" Mari would turn to Vincent, she already knew - but felt it right to ask him all the same, it would be unfair after all to just deny him the chance. "Do you have anyone you want to attend?" Lancaster smiled, his hold on her hand tightened as he bought it up to his lips in a soft kiss. "Not anyone that wouldn't try to kill me as of late." Mari nodded, a part of her wanted to invite the entire Laughing Coffin, as a big fuck you to them. She wanted to invite Oscar, and Freyd, and Baldur - and even Raidou. In part because she cared about them, and in other parts, to prove them all wrong. Another proverbial finger to the two worlds who would deny, denounce, and decry their passions and romance - however wild and fleeting it be. "I have people in mind but... If I am being honest..." Mari would lean her head on his shoulder. "I'd rather it just be the two of us. So...A private wedding." Mari reached out and selected the option from the prompt in front of them. This...all seemed to be happening so quickly. It seemed fitting really... it was how the entirety of their relationship functioned. "I'm....not sure if we'll ever have the chance to leave this place." Mari began, quieter now. "But - if we do, and you'd...." She swallowed. Why was it hard to ask this? Was it because she feared he'd deny her? "You'd have me, lets do this again - but lets do it on the back of motorcycles. That's what I really wanted." Mari wasn't fond of fancy frills or cakes, she didn't care for a large guest list. Ever since she was young, all Mari wanted to do was ride off into the distance on the back of a motorbike, arms wrapped around her lover. If Lancaster didn't like bikes, maybe she'd convince him. Or maybe it'd just remain nothing more than a fantasy. "A P-private wedding for Pkers....would be....1,500 Col." "Don't worry Mi Amore!" Mari cried out as she pulled out a sack of col and practically shoved it into James' hands. "There's a reason I've been gone the last few days - Amassing enough of this to fund whatever your heart desires. Any expenses that today brings, I'll cover them." Quest Objective| Required wedding details must be declared and taxes paid. (Expenses paid to the Banker account.) Edited Thursday at 05:59 AM by Mari
Lancaster 1 Posted Thursday at 06:01 AM Author #5 Share Posted Thursday at 06:01 AM The pounding at the large doors of the church would eventually subside, as if the system was changing modes and was choosing to wait them out. Like a pair of bank robbers with a hostage. "We have our own rings, register or whatever...We are keeping them." The man barked as he'd lift back a piece of a stained glass window to peer outside and peg the guards locations. A glance to Mari he'd nod pulling the cigarette out his lips and tap it into a nearby candle. "Certo. Perfect. Private should be best. Got that little man?" Raking his hand through her hair, a pair of lovers beneath a mountain of flames of their own making, nursing the thought of burning down and defiling the church to match so many others in Aincrad. Just to make their escape. "If we do. You'd have me mia fiamma. For every sunset, every moon. That's amore. It will not end, and there will be no bridge I will not burn for you." His hand moving from her hair to her cheek, as to relay the honesty and truth through such a simple touch. "But if is a bike you'd like, I have... A 2018 48' special with our name written all over it." The man offered her with his same goofy grin, as an entire contrast to the sheer number of threats and murder that had stemmed for the last 30 minutes until their arrival. The man inhales heavy, their little respite in a pew being cut short with the toss of a bag of coin to James. "Good, good...now. It says here we need a pastor. That someone needs to wed us?" A glance to Mari he'd whisper "Don't really want to deal with this sack of useless shit all the way up...Idea." His attentions jerk back to James with a bit of a jolt into a more serious tone, an entire different demeanor then the kind one that fell upon Mari. "The book..." Lancaster remarks, raising an open hand and his other set ablaze as a show of force. "It or your life, your choice." To which James happily makes his decision, dropping the tome into Lancaster's hands without a second of remorse. Tucking it under his arm, he snuffs out the cigarette on the corner of a bench. "Now, lets blow this joint. I've just the place. Allow me to get the door." The consuming tyrant lifts a heavy foot, slamming it hard into the church doors and with a twist a wave of flame rushes out behind it. Guards flee screaming like torches dying in a horrendous display of carnage. "After you, bella donna." Quest Objective | Ring details must be declared. Mari 1 Posted Thursday at 06:38 AM #6 Share Posted Thursday at 06:38 AM Lancaster was hell bent on having everything done that day, as quickly as possible. Mari didn't mind one bit, but she had to wonder what sparked this sudden urgency with him...had he heard of something? Did one of his former guild members message him? Threaten him? The man would quell her concerns with a gentle touch, calloused fingers that traced her jawline and bought her in for a light kiss. Her heart fluttered, her soul warmed at his admission. This wasn't just some tryst within the game. If they ever left - he'd find her - not only that but... But if is a bike you'd like, I have... A 2018 48' special with our name written all over it." Mari couldnt help but laugh. "Truly, we are soulmates - Vincent. A Harley?" She wrapped her arms around his shoulder and envelop him in her body, her embrace. A warm kiss that was fulled by the fervor of their romance, deepening with the fear of loosing him, of the relief that he'd always be there, the sheer determination and foolishness of the two. "Mine." Lancaster would steal the pastors book, and turn to leave the church with a heavy boot against door. A mild panic set in Mari as a plume of fire erupted from Lancaster, burning the NPC guards that crowded the door to nothing more than ash and dust. She didn't care about the NPCs...but the rest of it, she did. They had already caused enough of a panic making their way to the church in the first place. Any more and Mari worried it'd be too much. "I told you..." Mari said as she pulled Lancaster back into the safety of the church. She adored the man, but the last thing she needed was her friends questioning the absolute fire and carnage to the NPCs on the first floor. The more fire that Lancaster would lit up in a rampage; the more likely an errant player would be caught in the flames. Mari didn't want that. A hand wrapped around the tiny blue pendant around her neck, its recipe a gift from Raidou. Something she only wanted to use in emergencies, or if the situation truly called for it. And...wasn't this situation just that? A way to stop a lovesick man from burning all the bridges that were being built before him. Mari opened up her inventory to grab a piece of paper; on it several coordinates were written - ones special to her; ones that would provide safety. One of which...the very field they had first let their passions erupt. A charred circle of black surrounded by maple leaves of red. Mari glanced up at Lancaster and grinned - surely he was thinking of the same place, if not - then she'd deal with it then. At least they'd be out of the starter town. Noting the coordinates she called out to them - and a gate had appeared. Mari would gesture to Lancaster, "After you, Mi Amore." And with that, the two lovesick fools had evacuated from the first floor.
