[SP=PT-F10] Glimmering Shards of Decay

Floor 10 - a bioluminescent cavern she kept swearing away from but somehow always made her way back to....

The dusty treat was quickly swallowed, its not like food actually expired here, right? Probably...Mari felt fine enough at least. Then down went the potion Raidou had crafted her. Good. Everything felt better now.
Mari stretched her back. This floor was one she was oh so intimately familiar with. She knew it inside and out, she knew where the nefarious players would congregate for their hidden meetings - and knew well enough to keep away. Not her clowns, not her circus. She knew the path most players took - the direct path from stairs to Yomi. She knew of the lake, the void, the echo flowers. This floor for the longest time was her home and now?

It was about to become a goldmine, hopefully.  With her window open Mari was checking over her skills, checking over her temporary build - an option granted to them for a limited time by Aincrad.

Her weapon newly furnished - and rings of fireproof. Armour that was designated heavy by thy system but still allowed her the freedom of movement. Mari was ready.

The area around her tent was void of any activity - player or undead alike. Mari supposed she had Atan to thank for that, as dangerous as he was - to the point where her brother virtually forbade her from making contact with him. Despite that, his concoction proved incredibly useful and effective. Almost too effective. Mari had to walk a good half hour from her tent before she ran into the first group of skeletons - their beady red eyes glowing brightly in the dimly lit caverns. It meant little to her. Mari was used to this by now.

Her arm moved almost without thought, the typical sword art activating - the typical swing of her blade as it tore through their rib cages - bones turning to dust before completely disintegrating in pixelated shards.

As the dust settled Mari would make note of the loot - the amount of col she had made was far less, but this time...this time she had managed to grab a few demonic scales, and right now...those are what she needed most. With a sigh Mari would bend down and start retrieving the fruits of her labour.

More shambling skeletons would descend upon Mari and they, much like their predecessors ended up naught but dust and fractals. Mari would twist and turn the glimmering scale in her hand. This...really was easier - granted she had to eat years old candy but...this still felt far more easier than fishing for hours on end. Not that Mari had anything against the activity, rather she enjoyed it immensely, but it just wasn't as fruitful as this was when it came to the rarer materials. Mari would pocket that too then turn to glance over the horizon. This place was as deadly as it was beautiful. There was a certain type of calm in the still air of the caverns.

It was a shame that spending too long here would send someone mad. Mari hefted her spear onto her shoulder and continued walking, her footsteps echoing. 

Come to think of it...that would be a good way to placate someone, if the need ever arose.
