All of the latest gadgets, games, toys, you name it... His father, although the CEO of Frost Technologies, was a very kind man and always made time for his family. The day his father passed away was a sad day for everyone, but nothing compared to the sadness Dan felt. Wishing to continue in his father's footsteps, Dan steps up and takes over as CEO of Frost Technologies. Little did he know, the responsibilities of being the CEO of a company came with a lot of stress and aggravation. Seeking a way to escape this, even for a few hours a day, he learned about Sword Art Online and decided that taking part in a virtual world would be an excellent way to do just that. After purchasing the necessary equipment, he donned the Nerve Gear and linked up to Sword Art Online's server. Once online, he meets a few people, including a guy who was slightly older than himself who seemed to be looking for someone in particular. Before he could ask about it, however, Akihiko Kaiyaba appeared before everyone and informed them all about the Death Game. Realizing the fact that he was trapped in SAO, Dan accepts his username, Vylon, as his real name and takes on this new world with a new attitude and accepts this world as his new home. » Virtues: Confident. Believes in himself to the fullest and doesn't shirk from a challenge. This strong sense of confidence can also be considered a flaw in the fact that he can be hard-headed and continue on until he either can't continue or the task seems impossible. Cunning. Quick to adapt to different situations and react accordingly. Has a strong mind and highly intelligent and is able to form a plan of action with very little details. Reliable. Can always be depended on, no matter the circumstance. Although he is somewhat self-centered, he is loyal to his friends and will do what he can for them. » Flaws: Narcissist. Highly self-centered and is usually cocky and unintentionally rude. Always trying to make himself look better than others and doesn't play well with others. Sarcastic. Tends to mock others in a way that others would become easily offended. Although, this can also be considered a virtue due to the fact that his sarcasm can provide a sense of comic relief. Perfectionist. Everything must be done exactly the way he sees or thinks it. If one thing is out of place or done wrong, he can't stop thinking about how it could have been done differently or how it could have been corrected.
