That was her mantra growing up. The middle child to an already impoverished family. Childhood was scrubbing pans and babysitting, bagging groceries and - when the need arose - stealing. She always felt guilty about that last one. But the grind instilled something very important in her.

Her brother and sister weren't gonna starve. By any means.

She dug deep and found that grit needed to make sure her siblings would be okay - alcoholic father and absent mother be damned. And it could have been worse, she would rationalize. Dad could have smacked her around - or worse - instead of being the useless sack of shit he was.

Adulthood came. And with it adult bills. Things got harder. There was less support for a freshly 18 girl in the city. Those food stamps evaporated. Businesses wouldn't hire a kid with no experience - even if it was just as simple as flipping burgers or running a register. Bereft of options, Amelia turned to the only thing she felt that she could - exotic dancing. Stripping. Letting strange men ogle her just to put food on her table and a roof over her head.

But.

She hadn't expected to find it so... thrilling. Not the taking her clothes off part. That was secondary. How easily she could empty a man's wallet without even removing a stitch. She became her stage name. Sin. Tempting. Alluring.

And it was just so fucking funny.

She wound up completely shifting her fortunes. For the first time in her life, she didn't need to worry about her next meal or next month's rent. There was more time for leisure. To live. To exist. To be comfortable. And after a life of hardship, she was fine with it. Let them watch. She'd take 'em for everything they had either way.

If you're a good person - if you got a fuckin' personality - you get Amelia. Loud and brash and funny and willing to turn the world on its head for you. Fiercely loyal, violently protective, and absolutely not afraid to run the ones with anybody. A total party girl, always down for a little fun. She oozes confidence and competence. Completely at ease with herself. No room for second guessing.

But.

The moment she catches you undressing her with your eyes, it's over. That heat never disappears, but now you're in her crosshairs. And she'll make damn sure you pay for the privilege of ogling her. unshakeable// Sin has no fear. She has no qualms about getting up in your face, grabbing a situation by the ass, and breaking it over her knee. There's not much that can shake her. Because it's by any means. Hands, feet, or sword.

outgoing// Sin has never known a stranger. Doesn't matter if you're a stranger on the street or a mark at the bar, she isn't afraid to place herself in your orbit and get to know you. And she's the brightest girl you'll ever meet. Huge pull of her own, making sure no one else leaves their feelings bottled up. It's no fun if you're all emotional about it, right?

intuitive// Came with the territory of her work. Knowing where to apply pressure, when to shut the fuck up and watch. She never really found it hard to cut to the quick of a situation and respond accordingly. She'd never insult herself by calling it 'woman's intuition.' That implies that this isn't a skill she had burned into her very being at a very young age.

impulsive// Sometimes, she doesn't think things through. Quick to throw herself into something with both feet, but not really considering how she would get herself back out. And she'll rationalize it. 'No time to think.' But there's always time to think. She just doesn't want to.

manipulative// Sin can play you like a fiddle and leave you thinking you came out on top. It's not really something she tries to do most of the time - outside of specific circumstances. But it just sorta comes out. Force of habit, scars from her old times. When she needed to be. When batting her eyelashes would get her out of danger. When making someone feel big and making herself look small wasn't just a way to get what she wanted. It was survival.

ego-driven// There's never been a fight she couldn't win or a man she couldn't play. She wouldn't have made it this far if there had been. And it shows. She's hot, she knows it, she flaunts it. Same with her strength and her grit and everything else besides. Because there's never been a situation where it's not enough. And she fundamentally can't conceive of a situation where she's not the baddest bitch to ever do it.
