Luke Pendragon 0 Posted October 26 #1 Share Posted October 26 (edited) Appearance: Luke has medium black hair, blue eyes, and a solid athletic build. He looks strong, because he is strong. He prefers black and red clothing, often wearing a mix of the colors. He typically wears a cloak or a cape. He comes off as confident and outgoing when in combat but in social scenarios he's a lot more timid. Profile: Luke is shaped by his desire to find true friendship and a family worth caring about. Most people that show interest in him only do so because they want to take advantage of him. This leads him to distrust most people even if their intentions are pure. He cares a lot about his reputation, particularly when it comes to strength and reliability. He wants to be a good person, but he often finds that life doesn't play out the way he wants it to. Until recently he wasn't above resorting to crime. However after becoming a professional and spending more time in SAO, he is lawful more often than not. He hates his parents and holds no allegiance to any country or faction. About: Luke is a child of Sire Pendragon. Stubborn and generally hard to control, Luke was one of the least desirable children of his generation. So much so that his father disregarded his existence entirely, leaving him to grow up with his single mother in a village. His mother tried to raise him to become a scholar, to one day join a university, but he was never one for book smarts. His only real talent ended up being video games. Mostly because he hated his life and wanted it to end, but partly because he was driven by the thrill games gave him. When Sire heard that his child was getting close to becoming a professional player, his interest was piqued. However by then, Luke wanted little to do with his father and so he ran away from home to live his own life. He spent a couple years travelling the country, but the life on his own bored him. He wanted to use his talents to earn some money. He used some winnings to start playing SAO, and the rest is history. Virtues/Flaws: Capable: Luke tends to adapt to new challenges especially when there are high stakes. He likes to think that has a good control over his pride. When he doubts himself his instincts usually take over. Compassionate: Luke genuinely cares about his friends. He goes out of his way to make sure that they are taken care of, for the most part. He also likes to listen to people to get to know them better. Daring: Luke likes to take risks in battle and in life. He gets a rush from doing things that others might not. This can sometimes border on recklessness but he has a good handle over his skills. Dominating: Luke feels the need to take control over situations. He especially is like this when he doubts other people's skills. He also likes to have power over others. Deceptive: He is secretly quite an evil person but he tends to suppress that part of himself. Whenever he thinks he can get away with it, he will deceive to get an upper hand. He also lies if he thinks it will make people think better of him. Emotional: Luke is motivated by his strong emotions. They define him and get him to act. This can be a big flaw if he is experiencing fear or doubt.
