Reytac 0 Posted Monday at 03:29 PM #1 Share Posted Monday at 03:29 PM (edited) Reytac sent off a message to both Nari and Acanthus – the two ladies had expressed at least mild interest in continuing the quest chain, and while he had needed a little time to re-equip himself that was now finished. He fidgeted, adjusting some of the buckles on the riveted leather. It was entirely a psychosomatic thing, he knew, since the game ensured the fit was fine, but he still felt like there were places where the armor was a bit too snug, and others where it was too loose, so he was constantly making minor adjustments to it. The brunette still wasn’t geared to the same level as either Acanthus or Nari, but he didn’t feel quite as… lackluster, as he had before. Quote @nari @acanthus I’m on the second floor now, near the edge of the explored territories. The map for the second quest shows that the dragon nest is out in the wilderness – I’ll hold up a while if you’re still interested in joining. -Reytac The trek out to the edge of the inhabitants territory hadn’t taken him as long as he’d expected, which was a good thing. He doubted either woman had just hung around, but there was also a chance that, as they’d shown before they at least knew the general area of the next nest, so they might be waiting on him. As he waited on their replies, he started bouncing one leg. This was a second chance at meeting dragons, and he hoped that this one was a bit smoother than the last. ”And I wonder if there’s actually like, an overarching quest chain tying these together? I know there’s something with that gemstone I got from Fuziel, but – I can’t think of any other points that could tie to something more.” It would stand to reason that there would be something connecting the different levels of the quest chain, but for the life of him Rey couldn’t think of anything. Maybe there had been something influencing Carsar into attacking Fuziel and her mate? More than envy over their children. He’d have to ask the ladies if they knew anything, maybe something that he hadn’t gotten a chance to encounter since they – Acanthus, really – had rather expeditiously dispatched Carsar without even giving the egg thief a chance to talk. Nari-Lanreth 0 Posted Monday at 07:30 PM #2 Share Posted Monday at 07:30 PM The ping of the notification brought Nari’s eyes down towards the small flashing to her right side. She would’ve sighed, if she wasn’t preoccupied in the moment. She’d been receiving notifications all morning about various going-ons, events and other things that swore needed her attention. A single hour of peace would be nice. Too much to ask, I guess. She flipped open the notification, checking to see what she was invited to – or declined access to, as it may be – this time. Her frustration drifted away as she saw the name, however. Reytac had accompanied her on a number of different quests at this point, and though she could hardly call the man a friend by any means, he was certainly something more than a stranger. She glanced over the message, before turning away from the shop keep she’d been bartering with, deciding that the items weren’t worth the value they were being sold for anyways. ”Not far away from where I’m at now…” She whispered to herself, double checking the information she had stored away long ago, before heading off. She moved her hands as she walked through the town, heading for the teleportation platform that would bring her down to the second. She sent a quick message off to Reytac and Acanthus in response, confirming her intention of attendance, before creating and sending a second message off to Onora to explain her sudden absence. It was only as the twinkling of the teleporter reached her mind that she realised she’d forgone the materials that had been the entire purpose of her trip here – a trip which would have to be repeated later that day. She traversed through the inner areas of the second’s city, before finding herself along the outer corridors. The message had stated that Reytac would wait before heading out, though Nari doubted it would be beyond the safety of the walls itself. She spent almost half an hour pacing the outer edges of the town, checking each major causeway before deciding it was clear that Reytac hadn’t stayed within the safety of the town itself. Sighing to herself, she headed beyond the gates, spotting the man a short distance from the safe zone. ”Why aren’t you inside the town until we all arrive?’ Nari’s annoyance crept into her voice as she approached, the spear and shield shifting in a mannerism that was similar to her preparation for conflict. Not quite lowered and dangerous, but clearly held in a way that they could be. ’What would you have done if some major event occurred, and you were locked into a sudden fight for your life? Not to mention how much more difficult it is to find you outside the town itself. Next time, wait inside. At the teleporter pad if you can, at the gates themselves if you can’t.” Nari-Lanreth | Lv. 35 | P. 67 | HP [1,020/1,020] | EN [134/134] | ACC [3] | DMG [9] | MIT [224] | B.Healing [+55] | STEALTH [-5] | FRSTBT [40 DMG | -1 ACC] | THORNS [72] | F.AURA [16 DMG] | PARA [8+] | HM [+4 B.DMG] Hide contents Notes [Theme] Tier 4 | Tier 11 [Laurel Wreath] Equipment Póg Deiridh [One-Handed Assault Spear | Tier 4] Enhancement: Frostbite [2 Slots] Enhancement: Accuracy [2 Slots] Glacadh Morríghan [H. Acanthus 0 Posted 4 hours ago #3 Share Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Boop! Another cheerful reminder from her menu that she was not home, and would not be for some time. Acanthus rolled over in bed, her head pounding from an evening swapping information with Argent on floor 22. Kayaba could have at least blotted out the side effects. Groaning, she pushed through two missed system alarms and three unread notifications to glimpse the new message. Reytac again. Quote @nari @acanthus I’m on the second floor now, near the edge of the explored territories. The map for the second quest shows that the dragon nest is out in the wilderness – I’ll hold up a while if you’re still interested in joining. -Reytac Her mind caught up slowly. They had already completed the first leg… Was he really so keen on finishing this questline? It was only natural for his excitement to stay fresh for this long. But it could have come at a better time. Acanthus summoned two raw eggs and tomato juice into a short glass, and downed the concoction with a reluctant swig. After the shudder traveled all the way down her body and through her feet, she responded. Quote Reytac, I’ll be there in ten. Quote ”And I wonder if there’s actually like, an overarching quest chain tying these together? I know there’s something with that gemstone I got from Fuziel, but – I can’t think of any other points that could tie to something more.” He was already so full of… whatever those motivational speakers were full of. She filtered out as much of the negativity her headache bestowed. “I… Am not sure. It’s an interesting question. Keep an eye out for any information and let me know.” Acanthus had no intention of looking for any information herself. And she seemed to recall an optional part of the quest involving a search for loose pages that told a story. But if Reytac learned about those… She worried the quest would never end. “Nari, it’s a pleasure to see you too.” Acanthus had arrived too late to hear Nari chastise the new player, but her stance once again indicated a preparedness that seemed unwarranted for the second floor. Her thoughts departed from the group as her head throbbed once more. She pulled her tattered cloak up and around her tired eyes. “Right. Still your quest, Reytac. Lead on.” NOTE: Custom Skill (Disabuse System) is active. The skill will be considered inactive once any player requests in a subsequent post.
