"Oh, you're back!" Saya called with a smile on her face. The programming suggested she had been worried, all the features her face conveyed genuine consideration. Alkor matched her gaze and said nothing, opening his inventory and offering up the spoils of his miniature adventure to the Tailor for her own use.

"You did it," she said with a hint of bewilderment in her voice. She hurriedly accepted the items and began to do something that looked like combining them. After a moment, she turned back to him and handed a needle and thread over. "You're going to need these," she said, and Alkor took them in both hands. He stared down at them in confusion.

"You're a Tailor now, silly. I gave you the tools of the trade. Now you just need to sew your first item and you'll have the skill made available to you. Just use the needle and thread, and these materials," she said.

Alkor sat himself down and considered the items for a long moment. He stared to thread the needle, and it felt almost familiar to him. He felt like he'd done this a hundred times before, and soon, he was weaving an item with the tools and some cloth.

He worked the thread skillfully and stitched the cloth together in an even pattern. The shirt took from quickly enough; there was no detail to it, just a plain white t shirt that could be worn to no special effect. When it was finished, he held it up for Saya to appraise. "Not bad," she commented, "not bad at all!"

Alkor handed it to her, then pocketed his Tailor's Tools. "Thank you, Saya," he told her. "I'll be sure to put it to good use."

She looked back at him questioningly as he left the store. "Huh," she tilted her head. "What a strange boy."

-Alkor gains 400 Col and the <> profession.
