[SP-F1] Hunting Monsters

Recommended Posts

Davros pulled his claymore out of its sheath and swung it around a few times before heading out of the city. He was going to do a bit of monster hunting, and try to get some more money to get a better weapon. He had yet to check in on any of the store yet, so he was unsure how much he needed. So he was going to go around killing creatures until he was low on health. Of course, when he meant low on health, he didn't mean about to die low on health. He meant down to about 3 hp health. So once he had taken six damage he would head back in and heal up. He paced by the exit. Last time he had left the starting city he had immediately been attacked, so he was hesitant to leave just yet. Maybe he would wait for someone else to leave first. He didn't want to be caught unawares after all.

He waited until another player left the city. The player continued through the gate and onwards without being attacked, So Davros deemed it safe to leave. However, after getting five steps out he was confronted by a wild boar. He almost thought it was the same one from last time, but this one was larger, and its tusks looked much sharper. It charged at him, and he threw himself out of the way, using the same technique he had before. This time hus foot caught on rock and he fell to the ground, his side slashed by one of the tusks.

He quickly got to his feet and drew his claymore. He was panicking slighty, as he had just left the city and he was already down one health. This didnt bode well for the rest of his expedition. He decided to go on the offensive. This time the boar charged, Davros stepped to the side and swung his sword down at the boars face. The boar was smarter than that and jumped to the side using its short stubby legs before charging Davros and slashing his leg.

He jumped back. He was not doing well. He was already hurt two health and he hadnt even nicked the boar once. He lifted his claymore up and swung it down diagonally at the boar as it charged again. And missed. What was up with him today! He couldnt even hit one lousy boar? He was knock back into reality by his leg being slashed again by the boar.

He almost cnsidered retreating, but he had nowhere to retreat to. All of this failed dodging had turned them both in such a way that the boar was between him and the city. So he decided to keep on fighting. He held his sword straight out in front of him. If the boar charged it would ram itself on the blade. If it tried to jump to the side it would miss hitting him. The boar charged and everything went according to plan. He rammed himself onto the blade. Davros had finally dealt some damage.

Before the boar could recover he pulled his blade out and pulled his arms back, prepared to hit the boar again as hard as he could. Luck wasn't completely against him when he swung his blade. He did some damage, but not the critical damage he had been expecting dish out. His foot caught on a rock yet again and kept him from slashing the boar multiple times. He did get one slash in before recovering his balance.

The boar recovered quickly and slashed it's tusks at Davros once again. Davros drew his sword back and swung at the offending tusk. He made contact, and the tusk fell to the ground as the boar exploded into octagonal pieces of light. He checked his inventory to see what material he had received. As expected, it said BOARS TUSK. He wondered what he could create with it... Maybe a horned helmet or something?

He decided that he had enough health for one more go at it. If he succeeded in destroying the next monster without taking any damage he would go find another one. He went over to a nearby bush and started to whack it around with his claymore. There came a surprised cry from the bush and and NPC popped out. He was dressed all in black and carried two daggers.

"You found me... Well. That means I have to rob you of all your stuff."

Upon hearing the intentions of the NPC, Davros immediately swung his claymore at the man's shoulder, not giving him a chance defend himself. At least... That's what Davros thought. The man lifted his Daggers up and made an X with them, blocking Davros' swing. The man seemed content to let Davros wear himself out before doing any attacking.

He pulled it out of the bandits belly and swung it wildly back and forth at the NPC, disregarding the blades. Even if one hit him he was going to keep swinging. The NPC fell back in amazement as Davros once again dealt him critical damage. Everything but his hood dissapeared into beatiful octagonal bits of light. The hood then shimmered and appeared in his inventory. HOOD OF ACCURACY

It didnt look particularly strong, but as Davros was learning more than ever, i this game looks can be decieving. He raised his sword and walked as silently as he could towards the boar. is goal was to sneak up on it and then chop its head open. When he was within a foot of it he swung his sword at its back. His uneven footing knocked him off balance and caused him to miss. Miraculously he caught himself silently and the boar still didnt notice him.
