[SP-F3] Collecting Mats (Complete)

Rebekah had not forgotten about the situation that she was in, she knew that Lessa was going to forge her new weapon in exchange for mats that she would collect. So, she decided to set out on her adventure now, seeing that she had some free time at the moment. It was better than waiting until later, and trying to come up with a huge lump sum of materials that she would need immediately later.

Rebekah had left the town swiftly, and made her way directly towards one of the dungeons where she could find what she was looking for, an Iron Goblin. She had finally arrived, and decided to start making some progress, as it would take a while. The last she heard, she owed Lessa 3 mats, and it would continue climbing until she's done.

 

Rebekah charged out at the iron goblin before it had recognized that she was attacking it.

It had been attack by the girl, and decided to charge right at her. It took out its weapon, a rather weak sword, and made its way towards her. However, the girl had seen the goblin charge at her, and used her rapier in attempt to block the attack. The attack had been blocked.

Rebekah had an opportunity, she had just blocked an attack, and would now be given a direct opening to attack the goblin, as she had just a split second before it could respond. She quickly attempted to make the most of her opportunity. She spun around, and thrust her sword into one of the critical points of the goblin as deep as she could before pulling her weapon out.

It had watch its HP bar drop done into the red, and almost completely gone, but not dead just yet. It took a second before swiping its weapon at the girl. Even though she did not have a shield, she was practicing how to block an attack effectively with one of the weakest weapons to stop attacks, a rapier.

She had just executed a textbook block, which was very nice, as she never attempted to try it before. She had seen people do it, but it was quite rare in practice, as most players relied on shields, or just attempted to dodge from a distance. However, she was still daydreaming about that block, and had not noticed that she had missed her golden opportunity to attack.

The girl just froze right in front of her, and it would try to attack her from such a close distance. It raised its arms and tried to punch her in the face, but somehow the punch had just missed. The game had made the accuracy of the attacks a bit lower, especially on the lower levels to help compensate for the difficulty of killing these mobs. Rebekah was also lucky enough to wake up from her dream at the exact same moment.

Rebekah wanted to finish this battle quickly, and decided to use one of her sword skills, it was a weak attack move, but had a surprisingly high accuracy. She saved the move for times like these were only 1 hit would be sufficient in a small time/category. It had been a while since she used the move, but she knew it would work.

She moved on deeper into the far edges of the floor. She was lucky not take any damage during that battle, even though she could easily heal up. She decided to make a check, she now had 1 of 4 mats that she needed. Therefore, she had to keep going, looking for the specific type of monster that she was going to fight.

Rebekah had finally arrived at her destination, an uncommon spawning ground for iron monsters of all types that drop loot ranging from iron ore to iron ingots. All of this will be quite useful, as she starts to collect materials. She looks up and sees a iron goblin nearby, and she decides to make her way towards that. After all, she has to start somewhere, she races up to it and thrusts her weapon as deep as possible to inflict as much damage as she could.

The girl had just struck her with its sword, but before it could react, it felt like as if the goblin had been stunned for a full second, not too long, but long enough to not allow it to counter-attack right away. In reality, Rebekah had hit the goblin in a vulnerable spot of a monster, which may often create some immediate after effects such as not being able to land its next attack.

She had not encounter this much luck in fighting monsters for a long time. But perhaps combat does improve with skill, and training over time. She took a look at the goblin in front of her, she did not really want to kill it, but she needed the loot that would gained as a result of it. It was starting to begin like it was second nature, stab the monster, then go back and defend. She was finally comfortable on her rapier, but knew that she would also have to reaccustomed to her new sword in the future.

Rebekah was having such an easy time fighting these monsters, or so she thought. She took a moment to think about why she was having such an easy time, perhaps they were getting weaker, or she was more accustomed to battle. Suddenly, she had been struck by the Goblin with its weapon, that appeared out of nowhere. The force had knocked her backwards and off-balance. As she quickly scrambles back to her feet, she needs to remember that she needs to continually focus during battles.

Rebekah was not happy at all with losing her health points from that last attack. She focused all her emotions, particular her frustration/anger into this attack. She had always been someone who follows is more emotional, and is not as rational as her person. She goes in and focuses directly on the goblin thrusting her weapon as many times as possible, before it could hit her back. That had finished the job, and now she had fixed up her second mat of this trip.

That was over, and now she had a choice to make, either go into the dungeon/cave nearby to fight more monsters or stay outside to continue fighting. She thought for a second before deciding to stay outside, as she was afraid of encountering some anti-crystal area, where she would not be able to teleport to safety. After all, she was all by herself going on a training/hunting mission.

She stood there awaiting the monster to respawn, but it was going to take a while. So she decided to attack something else that was around, some sort of granite monster, a granite elemental. It was entirely made of rock from head to toe up, and resembled the shape of a person. Well, since she was waiting, she might as well, go ahead with this first.

 

It looked so big, that she froze for a full second after throwing a small pebble at it. That was a mistake, she should not have provoked it, without getting off an attack.

After something had thrown a small pebble at the giant rock, it turned and saw a girl, who drew out its sword, ready to attack it, but she just stood there. It was mad, and was not happy that a person had destroyed its peace and quiet around here. It grab a big piece of Earth and chucked it as hard as it could at the girl. She was able to dodge most of the dirt that came her way, but not all.

Rebekah was determine not to repeat her last error, and told out her rapier. She had to strike quickly, and had a small window of opportunity to strike with her weapon. She was trying to focus on accuracy and increasing the damage, rather than trying to brute force it. She always like to rely on good technique, instead of burning her energy, trying to compensate for the low accuracy on important points. She quickly noticed that the knee was a weak point, and targeted by thrusting her rapier in. She had narrowly missed the critical point, which was something she could improve on in the future.

It saw the race close to it, to attack it. At that moment, it swung its heavy rocky arms at the girl, and the force drove her backwards. It had hoped to deal enough damage to discourage it from attacking further. However, the girl was persistent, and quickly scrambled back onto her feet. Rebekah knew that she needed to be more careful during her battles.

Rebekah saw that the giant rock was nearby, and swung her weapon at her. However, her attack had missed as it had managed to dodge out of the way, and she had missed her attack. This was something that she did not want to happen, as the primary focus is her accuracy.
