"I'm sorry what?" Tristan was looking rather confused at the stranger who approached him, a cloaked man whose face could not be seen under their hood. Tristan was happily going on a stroll on a floor he was unfamiliar with, Floor 6 namely. It was a rather odd but quite stable floor too. Well, that is until he was interrupted by this stranger who had no name...

The man spoke again. "I have a proposal for you. Let us have a duel. You win, you get magnificent awards! If you lose, well...you'll see when your HP goes to zero. But let us not dwell on the small things! Are you up for it?!".

Tristan nodded. "Sure." He applied the <<The Matriarch's Stinger>> buff on himself, giving him +1 attack for the battle.

The man took his hood off and was faced with, Tristan! The Gemini was an impersonator with his stats, though not his equipment. Well aside from a starter spear, to take advantage of his Spear skill.

Damage stat already has mitigation applied to it from other player stat.

Tristan Stats: HP 17 DMG 3 (4 + 1 - 2). -1 to BD rolls from Sprint.

Gemini Stats: HP 17 DMG 0 (3 -3). Can only damage by crit'ing. -1 to BD rolls from Sprint.

The perma roller will be used for this battle as this is a boss.

Tristan grinned, grabbing his Perfect Monster Grenade and throwing it at Gemini. He had been preparing for this boss and this was his way of doing it. Besides, he heard soon that the crystals will no longer function in battle as they do now.

Tristan gets 4 turns to attack, three from the Perfect Monster Grenade.

Tristan thrust forward his spear at the enemy from 4 different angles. He was aware it would be harder to hit him because he had the same Sprint skill as Tristan had. Clearly it worked too, since only one of his attacks actually hit him. Regardless, a hit was a hit and that was all he needed.

The Gemini hit their spear out towards Tristan in retaliation. Be it sheer luck or practised skill equal to his, the spear slammed into his chest, sending him flying back. This foe would not be easy it seems....then again, when was fighting yourself ever easy? Tristan readied the spear for his next attack with himself. It was a rather odd feeling it has to be said to fight yourself.

Tristan aimed for what look like his weakspot, which funnily enough would be his own. Except for...he didn't have equipment. This meant his arms were exposed and not covered by iron sleeves like he was. Perfect.

Tristan thrust forward, but only aimed to the front arm that held the spear Gemini used. It dug in and Tristan pulled the spear sideways, ripping a chunk out of their arm. Tristan withdrew the spear, ready for any attack that next came at him, whatever it was. This battle was easier than it seemed, but then again he had been questing plenty for loot. Plus he was using the advantage of the powerful venom the Queen dropped.

The Gemini cringed in pain with the spear stabbing him. So that's what his face looked like in pain. It felt rather vain seeing how he looked when he should be actually fighting them. But regardless, the clone attacked him. Obviously the arm wound affected them though, because they missed him.

Obviously he let his confidence go to his head, because the spear he used to attack Gemini missed. He cursed at himself for it, but otherwise readied himself to attack Gemini again in his next move. That was after Gemini attacked him, however that went.

Gemini attacked and was close to damaging him too, but Tristan managed to deflect it with his iron sleeves with a Dodge that he was able to come out unscathed. He still had to be careful though of what could happen if it does him properly.

Tristan countered with his spear, but the deflection had knocked him into an awkward position, meaning he couldn't get a hit on him. Tristan sighed and got himself trsdy to take on the next attack that came for him, staring at his doppelganger.

Gemini came in swinging the butt of the spear to his head, but Tristan brought his arm up to block and knocked away the spear with great ease. He stuck out his own spear butt to make him backup from where they stood, so that Tristan could stab st him again.

Tristan thrusted the spear straight as he had planned towards the Gemini. It clipped their shoulder, the black robe the clone wore offering no protection. Blood could be seen splashing out from the wound made by the spear, to which Tristan smiled. He wasn't quite sure if this was masochism or sadism though.

The Gemini retaliated with a spear as he attacked, but the wound on their shoulder stopped them from being able to properly reach him, the wound opening more. Tristan stepped back to reach centimetres away from the blade. Fighting himself was rather...easy, take that how you like.

Tristan used this moment for a perfect counter attack. He hit aside the spear and dug it into them again, this time hitting a critical against them. If it weren't for their dodge, it would have sunk in fully too.

Gemini screamed as the spear pierced them, taking out a good chunk of their health. They swung the spear wildly at Tristan in retaliation, but it was to no avail. He had seen the spear coming dodged it NY keeping a careful distance. There was not long left for this battle.

Tristan stabbed at the flailing Gemini, halting them in their swinging as the spear ripped their other arm. With Gemini on their last leg, it almost felt like a mercy killing now. It was a good fight, but it looked as though equipment played a large role, along with the right items.

Gemini attempted to attack him by swinging the spear, but it was futile. They missed Tristan and it was of no use in an attempt to damage him. Tristan was already at this point considering what the reward would be.

Tristan stabbed down on the clone, the spear piercing straight through them. It killed them outright from the one HP they had. A reward screen popped up for a skill called <<Disguise>>
