Conflict without [SP-F9]

Recommended Posts

Zelrius just struck his twinfire blade through a small Rockimite creature thingy. Or that is what he called it. Sheathing the mass of blue and red flame back into the golden colored leather sheath in which sat on  the Narcissist's right hip, Zelrius gave a nod. Another job well done. He had successfully grinded all the enemies out of a certain area, Not allowing for anymore low leveled or even medium leveled players even moderately try to catch up with him. With that Zelrius took a seat under a cliff of a volcano. There in his whiote tuxedo and golden tie, Zelrius caught his breath up and simply soaked in the heat of the ninth floor.

With his blonde hair ruffeled, Zelrius ran a hand through it in an effort (That failed misearbly) to fix it. Then His blue eyes drifted down to his tie, which was amiss and almost untied. So fixing his tie, Zelrius glanced back up. He squinted a bit to see off in the distance for his eyesight was bad, and although he could fix it in game, Zelrius never took the time to ever do so. He sighed, and closed his eyes.

At that moment, His arrogant curve of a smile disappeared. He no longer took deliberate breaths, and the boy began to twitch nervously.

When Zelrius reopened his eyes, he noticed the blur of tears forming at the bottom of his eyesight. The boy fought them, and for the bit they stayed back. Zelrius sniffled, completely oblivous as to why. Then another sniffle, His nose becoming runny and the tears continuing to build up. The boy say, rubbing the bottom of his nose with his forefinger and the left corner of his eye with the free hand. Then, Finally all that effort was broken when a sob shook him and a tear escaped. He dropped his hands and was retracted to sniffling as the wet droplets streamed down his face and landed on the grounf by him with a sizzling sound. One by one his memories of the past events of the world of SAO slowly started coming back. And that, Zelrius thought in between noises, was causing this weakness.

In his mind he saw the first events. The Starting City, everyone gathered. Kayaba's speech, then panic. He wa one of those whom had lost all train of thought as well. In a frenzy He screamed and shouted in displeasure. He didn't like the idea of being in a foreign world with no escape. In his panic, Zelrius frantically searched his menu for the Logout button, More then once. Then he pulled out the mirror that was left. Instantly, The body in which the boy gifted himself for the game was gone and replaced with his own body that had already exsisted. After that, He disappeared into a Inn. Spending every single piece of starting col staying at the inn on the first floor, Doing absolutely nothing for days on end. Finally he came to terms with things and was out into the fields, Picking up the scraps he had long missed in the first few days of the starting events.

Little by little, His senses came back. Quickly, Zelrius picked up on the slack that he had long so far behind. One his first reasonings he picked back up right away was his ultimate competitve personality and stuborness. This led him to end up actually lying and stealing from players. Lying to them where secert dungeons were so they were killed and were no longer a problem. Stealing last hits from parties in an effort to gain EXP faster then anyone else. And for a while all this worked, Until most people stopped taking his word for it. Then came the meeting of the man named Shark, and the Guild he led, The Knights of Christ. He simply talked to them and was in no way interested. After a month or so, Zelrius had decided to come along for his own first battle on the Frontlines.

At first those frontline parties were small. The most being six, or five people fighting a boss at a time. Those were infact dangerous times. But the fact that Zelrius had survived those small party attacks led to a little bit of an ego boost. However, It was not the Boss fights themselves that led to the ultimately arrogant Zelrius. No, But that came soon after. He spent far too much time on Floor 5, The desert. He called the place home and hardly left. Within a short time, They had that floor cleared, But Zelrius remained. It was here on Floor 5 Zelrius got his first kill, That of another player. After attacking a younger child, Zelrius was intercepted by a player named Atenea, Whom All Zelrius remembered he had slaughtered her just as he would have anyone else and still would to anyone to thise day.

This now was part of the build up to his current breakdown under a volcano of the ninth floor. But was not the entire reason. After a while, He had met up with several people whom the boy had seen around before. And together he and the other five people he could call friends founded what was known as the Azure brigade. Our present time Zelrius managed a smile under his tears at the thought of Miaki, Clarence, Keith, Atlus, Shanok, and himself, in the plains of Floor 1 having a nice little lunch together, telling dirty jokes and having a good ol' time. The others had gone off to Clear Floor seven, While Zelrius was off on a several week journey by himself grinding levels and doing things of the sort.
